Extremely professional practice & staff - always seems to have the best interest of our fur babies in mind. Can be expensive at times, but it's worth the prompt & efficient veterinary care. All 4 of our dogs have been patients at Grandview Vet for about 3 years now since moving to the area. We've had a handful of health needs addressed (Spaying procedure, stress colitis, anxiety/behavioral, annual exams, sick visits, vaccinations, monthly medications) you name it, we've been seen for it, and all health needs have been quickly resolved. We have four cats, so it seems like we are here pretty often. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure our furry friends are comfortable, taking the time to use blankets with soothing smells, and essential oil so even worried parents feel at home. One of cats is rather big, and we got great recommendations for a healthier diet. He is extremely anxious and they were able to get his blood work and shots done the same day. Previously called Compassionate Care Veterinary Hospital, the name was changed and I can only imagine the reason is to hide from the bad reviews of their terrible service. Front office staff are rude, veterinarians try scare tactics to pad the bill, the female vet there is the worst. She is also rather rude and is not particularly thorough. In this day and age people need to be advocates for themselves and those in their care. And providers need to be able to explain procedures and costs so the patients understand. If there are questions, it is the providers responsibility to answer politely. When we first went to Grandview Estates Veterinary, we met with Dr. Matt he was wonderful. My dog required a procedure and Dr. Matt gave us a quote and scheduled the procedure. Unfortunately, my dogs condition worsened we went back in and had to meet with Dr. Stevi, who then gave us another quote for the same procedure at almost twice the cost. I understood the $200 as an emergency visit on the first appointment. And once an established patient I was told there would not be additional emergency visit costs. But there was an additional $110 Emergency upcharge for a scheduled appointment. And the blood work cost was $338 with Dr Stevi and $110 on Dr Matt's quote. How can providers in the same office charge almost twice the price of the already expensive procedure? When I called to ask about the charges, why they were twice as much and what they were doing, I was told by the office manager, that we might not be a good fit because I was asking questions about the cost and procedure. Dr Stevi called me a few minutes later to tell me she was cancelling my surgery appointment for the next day. A few days later, I received a letter in the mail, dismissing us from their practice, because I had questions about the cost and procedures. They are very unprofessional, and clearly do not care about animals and their families. They make up charges to increase the cost of anything they do. read more

Uhh so I get to my cat's visit...go in 10 mins early. My step-daughter is with me. The receptionist tells me children are not allowed and only one person can go in. I'm like why didn't you tell me this Friday? (To myself duh if I knew this why would I take her out of school early to bring her to a place she couldn't be) So she gets her office manager that had Karen written all over her face... So I ask her the same question she goes she did... I'm like no... nothing was mentioned... Then she goes it also says it in your reminder call.... I'm go...what reminder call I didn't get one... Her response...Well your voicemail must have been full... no it's not... So I'm like why didn't she..meaning the receptionist... tell me this Friday... She goes....she did right here and begins pointing to the computer... So I said no... Nothing was mentioned. Then she started getting nasty we could either reschedule or wait in the service area in the car and they would take care of my cat. I go no I want to be there. She was more persistent with this and I go no bc the last time I was here you guys said he had fleas and not anxiety....and he didn't. My cat is a very pale ginger you would see fleas or flea dirt on him very easily but at that time it was COVID and I did argue Well that pissed her off and said you know what... go find another vet we will not see you. The woman was in my face and thrusted my cat carrier to me almost dropping my 13 year old cat. I also reminded them that there no signs on their doors stating that children can't be in there and only 1 person was allowed in. This ended up being a very bad experience for all of us and scaring my stepdaughter. read more
