They are extremely professional, they keep in constant contact with you, letting you know what's happening every single day while your loan is in process. I've personally worked with Pattie, Laurie and Jim and they are exemplary professionals. Anyone who is leaving negative reviews for this company or these people, is only angry because they couldn't get approved for a loan. I'm looking at you Joe H. I was led around like a dog on a leash by Laurie Bobrick and Jim Burrington at Grande Financial and I would not recommend them to anyone. From day one of working with the sham of a company, I gave full access to my credit report and income information to GF. I informed them of every financial blemish I had on my credit, and trust me, I've had many. But, over the course of the last five years, I've fought hard, worked hard and brought my credit score from a mid-500's score to a mid-700's score. (If you want to know how I did it, just ask me and I'll tell you!) On day one of making my application, Laurie called me and left a voice mail saying THREE TIMES, "You have been approved for the loan!", with excitement and reassurance in her voice. I have the voice mail saved in case anyone would ever want to hear it. She DID NOT say, you have been pre-approved. She DID NOT say, you have been pre-qualified. She said, "You have been approved for the loan!" I thought it was pretty quick to know that I had been approved but this is my first time buying a home and I thought that maybe using a mortgage company versus a bank, things go quicker. No more than did I get this news from Laurie than did she hand me off to her coworker, Jim to take over my loan. So now, I was receiving information from both of them. Contradictory information at times, which was very frustrating. As quickly as I was assured that I was approved for the loan, I started to get the "we need..." requests that made it very clear, very quickly that I had NOT been approved for the loan. When I asked Jim, who by now had become the only one communicating with me, if there was a chance that I had not been approved for the loan, he reassured me that the things they are requesting are absolutely normal and that I have nothing to worry about. Every single day was a new experience in what I needed to provide them. Every day, I expressed my concern about the potential for being denied the loan and every day, I was assured that I had the loan. Grande Financial KNEW I was commissioned with a guaranteed wage from day one. When my income verification letter came back as "commission employee", I was asked to contact my HR department and get it corrected to state that I also had a guaranteed wage. They did just that. However, Jim never bothered to tell me this made the document unacceptable and open to suspicion of fraud. Instead, he just let me wait and wonder, never bothering to contact me to inform me of this being the catalyst that forced the underwriter to deny my loan application. On day 30 of my 30-day contract with the seller, I was informed, ONLY AFTER I ASKED, that I was denied financing based on being a commissioned employee with a work history of less than two years. ON DAY THIRTY! When I told Jim this was bullsh*t, he fired me. Yeah, HE fired ME! LMAO!!! Now, after paying $400 for a home inspection, paying out $500 for earnest money (which I'll eventually get back) and losing a month of my life to this, I don't have a house. I have sold or given away furniture I thought I wouldn't have room for. I've donated clothing I knew I wouldn't have room for in the new space, and half of my house is packed and I'm living in what looks like a scene from Hoarders. For nothing! It should be mentioned that five days prior to this, I asked Jim if he had called my HR department to follow up on the income verification letter and he told me he was home sick, and in bed and was unable to call.
