We have just watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We have enjoyed every moment of it. It was funny, colourful, had wonderful singing, well choreographed dancing, with clever and enchanting children. The costumes were superb. We thoroughly recommend it to all ages. We did not eat there, so cannot comment on that. The staff were friendly and professional. Well done to Bilston Operatic. I love the Grand theatre, been a few times over the years. Me, my brother and friends went to see The Rocky horror show. Last time we saw that together was 30 years ago and I was only 15! We'd seen the film then it was on at the theatre so we both went as Rocky horror virgins. I dyed my hair pink one side and dark blue the other...nearly got expelled from school! It was the best experience I'd ever had! 30 years later however....have people forgot how to have fun? I know it's a week night but REALLY??? Me and another girl at the front decided to get up for the time warp...people very nearly didn't!!! I was gob smacked! The show was fantastic but the audience was a huge let down!!! read more

I hadn't been to the Grand for many years but was pleasantly surprised that this small theatre is wel-presented and has helpful and friendly staff. Car parking in Prior Street is very convenient and there's a handy Cantonese restaurant "Queens" just round the corner for after-theatre meals I was there to write a review of Lawrence Till's adaptation of Kes which was a compelling production which gripped the audience throughout. read more

I have very fond memories of the grand theatre. Every christmas we would go to see whatever was showing and there was always a great atmosphere. Inside it is very decorative and ornate which adds to the experience. There is usually quite a wide variety of shows and the prices can vary up to £25 per ticket for the good seats. Amazing place to go with the family. The tickets are really cheap. I have been there for a few shows. the actors get all the kids involved and make it a really plesent night out. It is right next to a hotel if you are not from close by and is less than a min walk away from the bus stop and taxis which are by the train station also a min walk away. cheap drinks and have little gifts you can buy. always a good one to get out with friends and family. read more

Went to see 'Joseph' at this wonderful little theatre. The building oozes so much charm, and personality, and is so intimate, whilst at the same time having all the modern facilities and amenities. Prices are average for a theatre and staff are friendly and helpful. The bus and rail station is just next door, with local car parking. There's a hotel next door and it's just a stones throw from the heart of Wolverhampton's city centre. Suitable for all the family, comfortable and warm, with some fantastic forthcoming, well known and some one off performances. Have been visiting the hotel since a young age and will continue to do so for the considerable future. read more

This theatre is a few minutes walk from the bus and railway stations. I'm becoming quite a regular here. The summer rep is always very good and we've been to the pantomime every year for about 7 years now. Seats are comfortable, plenty of leg room. read more

Just been to snow white and the seven dwarves at the Grand theatre which is currently under a lot of criticism for overseeing dwarves in their casting and adding children with masks. Although panto was fantastic the dwarf bit was a small let down. Still worth the money. Not to be missed. read more

You can always expect a high quality and 'big budget' performance at the Grand, even though it is a comparitively small theatre compared to others in Birmingham. The staff are always friendly and the seating is comfortable. I quite frequently visit Pantos here, even though I am often surrounded by peers 20 years my junior! All I ask is that they reduce the price on the ice cream during the interval! read more

A great resource for the people of wolverhampton. Wide variety ofentertainment - plays, musicals, charity performances, and of course a yearly pantomime. Prices are quite pricey I think, but this can be helped by joining Friends of the Grand. read more

I love the grand theatre.Its the prefect venue for some of the greateset plays/musicals performed. Drinks are reasonable but extrsa such as chocolate are a bit highly priced. Nice interior which is classic yet modern. Close to all public transport and set in the centre of town. read more
