Chris Nelson was so generous with his vast knowledge of metal working particularly about fusing gold to ferrous steel.....and the 100 other questions we had! This studio is outfitted with anything you could imagine using for any metalsmithing or jewelry creating. On top of that is this studio is beautiful, with huge windows and streaming sunlight making it so easy to see your work. Julie, the owner, was also around to help our class. Her work is on display in her shop and it is gorgeous. Look her up online! The studio, in addition to being fully outfitted was also a very comfortable place to spend several days. Lots of space, tables and workbenches. Plenty of everything so you did not have to wait.... She also provided drinks and snacks. It is well located in the Lake Michigan resort town of Grand Haven. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the studio for a nice lunch, especially the Righteous Cuisine next door. I think we all had a great time and we also made some beautiful jewelry.

Thankful that Family Sewing is still there and close to where I live. The reviews are good. I think it's the same place my son in law purchased my daughter's machine 7 years ago out so. We also took a rag quilt class shortly after that. Yay...still around even after COVID!!! I give them a call Friday early afternoon. I speak to Larry. Explain my situation. He says I can bring it in and he'll take a look and give me an estimate. I'm hoping I can get it back ASAP. I'm able to get there Friday at 5:40 pm, hoping he can get to it before the end of next week. He stops what he was doing. Shows me how to take a few parts off the bobbin area. Proceeds to clean it...it has sticky residue from no-sew Velcro...he cleaned it up. Less than 20 minutes and I'm out the door to work on my project! Larry was awesome! The price was right. The service was excellent. The turn-around time was unbelievable! Thanks, Larry! My daughter's machine will be there tomorrow for a cleaning!

I spoke to Ben who directed me to the counter after giving me some amazing advice and tips. I went to the gun counter and was greeted by a knowledgeable guy who took his time explaining some different models. I decided to shoot the Walther CCP 9mm because I loved how it felt in my hand, and he said the recoil was about the softest I could get with a 9mm. Shooting it was not bad. I was able to stabilize it way better than my husband's 9mm and my aim was much better too. I continued to get top notch treatment from EVERY employee here! At the end of our shooting session, I looked at some of the used pistols and found a decently priced near new Walther PPS 9mm. I had no intention of buying a pistol today but it all seemed to work out. We kept everyone over closing by a half hour and not once did anyone make us feel like we were a bother to them. My husband even asked about a safe when we were all done with the gun purchase and the guy never missed a beat. I appreciate how well they took care of us and I can't wait to come back to the range to try out my new pistol!! I highly recommend this spot. Oh and all of their guns come with a warranty, even the used ones!! They stand behind their products and that makes a huge statement to me.
