While waiting, there was great banter and conversation going on with everyone, and it felt more like a family get together than waiting for a haircut. I gave the barber discretion and asked him to cut it any way he liked. My uncle owned a shop for more than 50 years and when he was allowed to be creative with a customer it was usually his best work. It all grows back and I am up for creativity. The haircut turned out great and I was very pleased with it. Payment accepted: Cash only. Robins Financial Credit Union is right out the front door and you can grab cash from the ATM if needed.

Date of visit: Sept 07, 2021, 10:55 am…read more This was my first visit to City Barber Shop. We recently moved to Forsyth, GA and it was very much time to get a haircut. I had heard of this shop from others in my neighborhood. I arrived and signed in. The wait was about 10-12 minutes. No other customers were waiting. Two individuals were receiving hair cuts. The barber shop is in the heart of the city of Forsyth. Most of the building in the downtown area were built very very long ago and this was no exception. While I waited I admired the craftsmanship of the original bricks peeping through sections of the wall as decoration. The wood ceilings, the actual plaster vs drywall, wood framed boards for advertising or announcement. Some very old barber chairs were being used. This added to the overall ambience of the small town barber shop feel. Teri cut my hair. To describe Teri as having extreme attention to detail, and mastering her profession is an understatement. I can't say I have ever had anyone else cut my hair in such a 3-D visualized manner except my uncle. My uncle and aunt ran a hair salon center for over 50 years. My uncle was a 2nd generation hair salon owner. I very much appreciate finding such a wonderful shop so quickly, and I'll definitely be back.

I'm having to get another stylist in another town to fix it. I didn't notice until I got home how bad it was because it was wet. Once I gave him a bath to get the hair off of him I started seeing all the uneven layers, and choppiness. If they don't do kids she should've said so. If she couldn't do that cut, she should've said so. I'm so upset with his hair and I'm sure it will have to be cut super short now.
