Wow! What an experience! Huge shout out to Cowboy John, Arizona Casey and Linda! My girlfriend and I did the overnight horseback experience. We were lucky enough to be alone on the trip and had an incredible time. Due to problems with the rental car place, we were 45 minutes behind. It didn't matter. Everyone here is so laid back they greeted us with smiles and a beer. Horses ready to go! You can expect a generic ranch experience. If you do the overnight horse ride expect to eat food cooked straight over the fire and coffee from an old tin can - cowboy style. We absolutely loved it. After eating a delicious cowboy steak, Arizona Casey stopped by with his guitar and genuinely entertained the hell out of us. We were laughing and smiling the entire time he played and sang for us. We plan on coming back with our full families next year and staying for a week. It's so relaxing being away from the real world. We can't wait to come back! Thanks again for everything!

You will not find a cozier country ranch. Great staff from start to finish. Singing entertainment with comedy. Good food choices with a homemade bend. Horse rides as well as campfires.Glad we could find this place.

Great ride! Great cowboy guide named John! Fun horses! My family of 6 had a phenomenal time and made great memories! We were fed well and enjoyed the outdoors together on a beautiful night. Sunset was gorgeous. John was very informative and took great care of us. The ranch is very primitive. But they are great people and take care of their customers. The sleeping on the cots kept us warm. Seeing the stars with little outside light was amazing!!

Best experience ever! Actually I never expected this would be the best part of my Christmas travel. I booked this place just because I wanna stop by to see the skywalk and Eagle point after my Vegas trip before head back home, cause this is the nearest lodge I can find to skywalk. I knew it's a remote ranch, so I was prepared for cold meal, small room with no hot water or so. I was even debating to the last two days if to cancel the one night stay there, cause I might not wanna go to the skywalk since read about lots of bad reviews on skywalk. BUT!!! BUT! BUT I'm glad I did go. This is a magical ranch, Casey's songs softly touch your heart, like a family. We checked in Dec 25th, 2019 it's a very special day to everyone. We were all so happy to be together in this ranch with another French family, sitting in one table, enjoy the night sing together, laugh together. I knew it right way by then that's gonna be one of my most cherished moments in my life. Casey song with his heart, made hot chocolate, made bbq mash-mellow for everyone, made that night like a beautiful story in a kids bedtime book. Didn't cry that beautiful peaceful night but eventually made my tears down next day morning with another song hit in my heart. Didn't ask name of the cook, he did real good meal. We had BBQ ribs, Rib Eye Steak, Christmas special meal with turkey, ham. It was a really good meal, like the real good stuff you have at home. They are all warm hearted people there. Their manager called me earlier that day to remind me the weather condition and time zone. When I walk into my cabin, it's lit up with warm lights, fireplace and felt so cozy. I travel with my picky wife and a 4 year old boy. My wife thought it's gonna be a big drop since we just checked out from Mandalay Bay in Vegas, it turned out she love this cabin way more than any hotel we had before. Nick! Best pilot! He fly the helicopter smoother than you can drive a car. His little helicopter is perfect for family to go together, cause it has total view everywhere, even you can see through under you feet if you sit in the front. Not like the skywalk helicopter is huge, line up to get a sit with other tourists, this is more like a private ride. He land the helicopter like landed on the bed, we didn't even felt anything. We were expecting a little touch to the ground, but no! No touching feeling at all. If you are afraid of flying in a chopper, try this guy. My 4 year old boy was even reading their leaflet map in the air, and talk to him like his co pilot, had tons of fun of his flying. You get to see from the inside of the Grand Canyon and from all other whole new perspectives. This is the place you wanna come back, you would miss by the time you check out. I will definitely bring my families back here, actually we are planning already for the summer time fun here. Btw, we didn't go to the skywalk, cause we are 120% satisfied in this ranch. We received more than we can expect as the last stop of our Christmas travel. Plus the skywalk was super crowded by Dec 26th.

This place is great! We spent 2 wonderful nights here. There was 4 of us.. 2 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in cabin 7 and it was very comfortable. There is NO TV or INTERNET and no Phone service so if you need those things this place is not for you. Everyone that works there is very nice. Ms Reba will go out of her way to help you. My kids loved Cowboy Dave. He's a great entertainer. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. The cabins are warm and cozy. We took a wagon ride up the hill to see the Buffalos and Mr John and Kim were great! My girls loved the pony ride through the ranch. It was so nice to disconnect from the crazy world and just spend time with my family and enjoy the outdoors. This place is only about 20 minutes from the skywalk which is also a fun place to go. I highly recommend this place. We can't wait to go back!

4.5 we stopped here on the way to the Grand Canyon. Everyone here was so nice. We were hungry so we took a to go order. The cheeseburger was pretty good. It's a small little ranch where we walked around while waiting for our food. The man that worked there was also very nice. He told us the history on the ranch.

One of my favorite vacations ever! From Cowboy Dave who serenaded us at every meal as well as the nightly campfire to the horse wranglers to the sweet staff and superb country cooks it was amazing. We loved our pine cabin w its Dutch door, claw foot tub and adorable loft space. The Western decor was so fun w everything right down to the napkin holders in the restaurant being themed. Don't miss breakfast here. One of the best I've ever had! So peaceful and such a short ride to the Grand Canyon. Definitely check out the gun range. The guy who takes you out there is so awesome and it's a literal blast! I felt like I was in an episode of Little House on the Prairie and loved every minute! Could've stayed there for a week!

Truly outstanding, from start to finish! I'm a Las Vegas local and this was the perfect overnight getaway. In less than 2 hours we were from the heart of Vegas, in the high Mojave desert. The moment we arrived we checked in and immediately headed out in a horse-drawn wagon to the helicopter landing. We did a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon and it was spectacular. Our photos and video just don't do it justice. The pilot was so kind and we had a great ride. After arriving back to the helicopter pad, we took the horse-drawn wagon back down to the ranch and then went shooting. Their firearms are .22s so are easy to handle, even for those without much experience. After shooting we had some time to check in to our cabin and put our stuff away. The cabin was well-equipped and was certainly in theme with the ranch. And then at 5pm we set off on a horse ride that brought us up to the top of a hill for a champagne, sunset toast. The horses were very well behaved and knew where they were headed. Hardly needed any steering. And the cowboys/guides were very knowledgeable, not only about the horses but also in the history of the ranch and surrounding area. While up at the top of the hill we also got to see the buffalo the ranch owns. There was even a baby buffalo, born about 1 month ago. A lovely and incredible experience. After the horse ride we came back to the ranch and had dinner, which was followed by a campfire in the evening. Thank you so much to all the staff! It was such an easygoing and pleasant experience for this city girl. I can't wait to return!

One of the best places we ever stayed in. Rustic, friendly, and charming. Cowboy Dave serenaded us at dinner and was amazing at leading the campfire sing-along. The entire staff was fantastic, and the camp has the most beautiful black cat "Midnight" If you're looking to get away from it all, get off-grid and spend family time together this is the place. My only regret, we only booked 1 night.

Riding along the backside of the Zion mountains…read moreprovides incredible views, and that part of the experience was something I genuinely appreciated. That said, a few things took away from what could have been a great experience. The horse I was assigned, Dash, had a very nervous temperament throughout the ride. She would frequently get startled and suddenly run forward, which made the ride feel unpredictable and unsafe at times. At one point she jolted so abruptly that I was almost bucked off, which ended up causing a pinched nerve that I'm still dealing with. Because of Dash's temperament I also couldn't ride near my partner, so we spent most of the ride separated. As first-time visitors to the area, I was also hoping to hear some history or information about the landscape we were riding through. Instead, there was very little guidance or storytelling during the ride. If it weren't for the light conversation from Wendell, the wrangler riding toward the back with me, the ride would have been largely silent. Another issue came at the very end of the experience. During the ride, the front wrangler offered to extend our original one-hour ride. No one in our group had asked for an extension -- it was presented to us as an option while we were already out on the trail. After we had finished the ride, gotten off our saddles, and were preparing to leave, we were then informed that the extension came with an additional $140 charge on top of the $224 we had already paid to book the ride. That cost had never been disclosed when the extension was offered. Had we known there would be an additional charge, we absolutely would have declined. Learning about it only after the ride was finished made the situation feel misleading and left us feeling taken advantage of. I don't want to disregard the beauty of the scenery or the time spent on the trail, but between the unsafe temperament of Dash, the lack of information shared during the ride, and the undisclosed charge for an extension that had been offered without mentioning the cost, it significantly impacted the experience. For those reasons, I feel a three-star review is fair. Hopefully this helps future guests make a more informed decision when booking.

This is an experience you won't soon forget, and one that anybody can do! What are you waiting for? Booking our reservations was painless. I made a phone call and spoke with Patty, who gave me a few options of times for our ride. We had a group of three-two adults and a teenager. (On the day of the ride, we we met another group of three that joined us.) She gave me instructions on where to go on the day of our ride, and sent them again via text with GPS coordinates so we could easily meet our guide. Mike, our guide, was fantastic. He was friendly, took some time up front to give us a quick orientation and then asked each of us about our horse riding experience so he could match us up with an appropriate horse. He was patient with us, as some of us had very little experience. The trail itself was not all the way flat, but not so challenging that a novice rider would struggle. There are a few areas where we went up hill and then a few where we went down. Mike advised us on proper posture to make it easier on the horse as we navigated some of that hilly terrain. At one point, he recognized that the teen in the group was getting a little frustrated with his horse. He gave him some instruction and then engaged him in conversation about music-something they had in common. I appreciated that Mike was able to include everyone in the group in some way. He's a good dude. After the ride, we were given some carrots to feed our horses. I loved that part! I think the horses appreciated it too. This may not be an activity that we will do every time we visit St. George, but it will definitely be on that we remember forever and bring along some friends to show them the beauty of Snow Canyon from a different perspective.

Now listen I'm gonna tell you straight. You can hike it, sure. Strap on your pack, bake in that canyon heat, follow the mules and the dust like you're reenacting some pioneer tragedy. Or... you take the helicopter. Drop in like you've got better sense than the rest of 'em. Because when you're only staying a night, you don't waste half your trip pretending you enjoy suffering. You get there quick, boots on the ground, eyes wide open. And what waits for you... ain't normal. The water this unreal shade of blue, like someone spilled paint straight outta heaven itself cuts through red rock like it's been there since before memory had a name. The canyon walls stand tall, watching. Always watching. You can feel it. Not in a poetic way... in a you're not alone kind of way. The people there, the tribe they carry a quiet presence. Like they know something they're not in a hurry to explain. Respectful, grounded... but there's history in their eyes. Old history. Night comes different down there. The fire was crackling low. Shadows stretching just a little too far, bending where they shouldn't. That's when I saw it. Across the canyon, tucked behind a tree like it didn't quite understand hiding... something big. Hairy. Not a trick of the light. Not a deer. Not a man. It stood there. Watching. Then came the sound. Tap... tap... tap. Something hitting the tent. Not hard. Just enough to say, "I'm still here." I thought maybe rocks... maybe pinecones. But there weren't any trees above us that could explain it. And whatever it was it had aim. I told the others. Nobody laughed. Nobody slept. We sat around that fire like it was the last safe place on earth, eyes fixed into the dark, waiting for something to step forward... or worse, not step forward. Because sometimes what you don't see is worse than what you do. Finally, in a moment of pure, desperate brilliance or stupidity someone grabbed a sandwich and chucked it out there into the black. We waited. Minutes stretched. The canyon held its breath. And then... nothing. Whatever it was... it was gone. No footsteps. No sound. Just silence again, like the place had swallowed it whole. Now I ain't saying I believe in Bigfoot... ...but I'm also not saying I slept worth a damn that night. And here's the part where I switch gears for ya because after all that spooky nonsense, you gotta laugh a little. Look, I'm just gonna say it .. "I paid good money to fly into a canyon, not to get mugged by a damn woodland gorilla." You got folks hiking ten miles, riding donkeys, sweating like they owe the sun money... and I'm down there getting harassed by what I can only assume is the canyon's unofficial night manager. Five stars. Would absolutely go again. ...but next time, I'm bringing two sandwiches.
