Tried to go there today with the new owners for a LOF/rotate as a called in waiter appointment at 8:00AM when they open. Worker drives in and unlocks doors at 7:52AM, I wait until 8:00 to go in. I immediately notice, in my opinion, that the shop is just a shambles. Look, car repair shops aren't going to be a pristine environment. This was an absolute hellhole compared to how Nedza usually was. Piles of OilDri, torn hunks of cardboard packaging everywhere on the floor, and piles on various used parts strewn about. Motorcycle parked so you couldn't get to the waiting area. There are three lift bays for cars, one being a drive up/on. My service would need a non-drive up/on. Those two are in use. So, they aren't ready for my appointment. The poor worker hears us come in, and immediately is calling on his phone, and hands his phone to us on speaker to chat with someone named Luis/something/didn't get a good look at it. I have no problem with anyone being employed anywhere, but this poor man can't communicate with me. "Whatcha need?" (WTF is this question?) "I had an appointment at 8 for a LOF/rotate." "Oh yeah. I am out doing a test drive on a car right now. Be there in a bit. Just give your car keys to him." (He took the car home with him to test drive?) Feeling uneasy, I give my keys to the worker guy. Walk outside and then in the outside door to the waiting room. Decide that with a repair shop floor that looks that bad compared to the years that I have been a customer that I don't want them touching my car, I go back in, ask for my keys back and leave. Nedza was great for many, many years. I sort of feel bad that I won't use the new owners after this.

They have ALWAYS been reasonable in their price, always attentive to my needs time wise, and do what they can to keep the vehicles in good shape! Our daughter hit a curb with her front right tire in a slick icy snow on a Thursday night. She had…read moreit towed to the dealer she bought her vehicle at. Friday morning I called the dealer and they said they couldn't even look at it for three weeks. So here's the deal - our daughter was supposed to drive Sunday to stay with us in Tennessee for her two week Christmas break and we were watching her dog while she flew to meet friends in another state. Even if her vehicle could be fixed (bent lower control A-arm) somewhat quickly, the timing for her to still drive to be with us for Christmas was very tight. She is a teacher and she had to work Friday, so I was calling places from Tennessee. Another shop said they couldn't get to her vehicle for at least a week. I was thinking she would have to rent a car for two weeks to still make Christmas and her vacation she saved up for all d was looking forward to all year. The second shop recommended Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck. I called and spoke with Todd. He listened to our trouble. Then he said he'd go tow her vehicle from the dealer to Gages Lake and look at it and call me back. That same Friday at 2pm, he called and said they got the parts and would have our daughter's vehicle fixed by closing at 5:30!! She went with coworkers to an after school get together at a local restaurant and then got a ride to the shop where she paid and picked up her vehicle - all fixed! It was a Christmas miracle!!! She drove here (534 miles!) on Sunday as previously planned and everything worked out fine. With all the thanks to Gages Lake Auto!! Her friends and coworkers couldn't believe it and they all asked for the shop's name to put in their phones if they ever need service. We are very thankful for Gages Lake Auto! We will be back whenever we need something!

And believe they believe that they are above the law by parking illegally for over an hour in a 15 minute tow zone. You better believe a tow was called, and despite telling the driver of the vehicle in question that he was in line to be towed, parked illegally, and also delaying another company's business from getting their merchandise delivery, of course when you are told that the right respond is to blow the person and say he doesnt care. Wrong sir wrong. Also ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS MOVE FORWARD! This company clearly doesnt respect other businesses or the law. Something to think about.

So I didn't hear from him despite calling at least twice a week. I had someone else call and finally got him. He said he forgot to check lol. I told him I want my car and my belongings are inside. He then said it was junked. I WAS LIKE WHAAAT!! He said he would replace it and has not done so. He keeps feeding me BS over BS AND MORE BS. He has gone so far as to give me a title and show me a car only to ask for it back. Saying he can't get the parts. Then he finally gave me a car and it wouldn't start after I walked there to get it then had to walk back. Then he wanted me to pay to get the part and he would put it on for the window that wouldn't roll up lol. Plus I was suppose to pay for the title and plates. Not honest. When we moved to the area the stem for our tire valve broke. I had a injury so I called…read moreahead of time and had a female family member bring in the tire. I knew the valve could simply be replaced by removing it from the tire pressure monitoring sensor (TPMS) threaded inlet. Well they failed the honesty test for a simple cheap repair. She was quoted $200 to order a new TPMS and valve assembly. That's what happens when you own a car with a fancy emblem I suppose. Too bad for them I know a thing or two about cars and didn't fall for their inflated quote for an unnecessary repair. All they had to do was unscrew the valve assembly and replace it but all they cared about was screwing us over. She brought the tire to discount tire who fixed the valve for free while she waited. I wouldn't trust this shop especially if you're an "outsider" and new to the area. This was a easy repair imagine if I brought it in for a check engine light they could have really inflated the repair estimate.
