This isn't based on just the location[close to so many venues], nor the unique 1939 era structure[ of an era gone by]. But because of the owner and staff that really takes on a hands on approach to the comfort and security of those that live here. Calling the office or the owner[ at any time] will get the situation addressed ASAP. The security is above reproach, with security cameras from every angle outside, from every angle inside the building, security fence with remote control opening, and security code to get into front and back entrances. The other neat thing about 721 is that it doesn't have the feel of an apartment complex; there is a live and let live atmosphere[ translation/ the owner, staff, nor tenets tolerate bigotry of any kind] and there is a cornucopia of all races, sexes, genders, and beliefs that dwell at 721 North State St. In a downtown setting, one wouldn't expect so much greenery, but there are shade trees to sit under and a roof terrace that at night has a cool breeze and you can look up and see a sky full of stars to help melt the stress of the day. I personally like the vintage lights that are scattered through out the parking lot. But you should just schedule an appointment so you can see for yourself.

Takes me back in time whenever I am driving towards it and when I walk inside. The units are fully remodeled. The original office doors were kept as front doors complete with mail slots. The best part about older buildings is the sound proofing. I never really hear the neighbors. They are quiet and friendly. There is always security presence in the lobby when you need. The 1 bedroom is spacious with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, subway tile backsplash, hardwood floors and carpet in the bedroom. Washer and dryer in unit. Plenty of storage including a walk in closet. It is never hard to find parking. I like that there are only 3-4 units on each floor. You walk out the elevator and into your unit. It seems pretty private unlike the 500+ units in California suburbs. The only downfall is that there is no gym on the premises. You do have access to the gym at the King Edward Hotel (another beautiful building) around the corner. Sure it's not too far but makes it difficult to get motivated when it is 40 degrees and windy. out. We all want our conveniences. Overall, this is a great place to be when visiting my husband. I would not mind calling it a second home.

Not only is Lakeshore Pointe the only apartment complex on Ross Barnett reservoir but the pool sits right on the water making a day at the pool I feel like a five-star resort. This place is really a community. I've gotten to know and become friends with many of the residents. There is always something fun going on that all of the residents are invited to whether it's a barbecue, a pool party, Super Bowl party, and game day get together etc. I have to brag on the progression of this property is well. When I first moved here there was just a tennis courts in the pool. But it's so great to be able to actually see your community reinvest in the property. There is now a basketball court, tennis courts, dog walking area complete with several waste stations around the property, at fitness center, and outdoor work out equipment. The grounds are beautiful, the landscaping crew takes such a great care of the yard keeping it looking gorgeous with seasonal flowers. This is an extremely safe community and it's so nice to have a trustworthy staff work in the office. Rita, the property manager, does a great job to address any concerns or requests that we have while Demo and Anthony, the maintenance men, take the best care of all of our technical issues. I wouldn't rather live in any apartment around Jackson.

We lived here for a year and it was the worst apartment we have…read moreever lived in. the AC and heat barely work, severe water damage and mold in the bathrooms, pipes that make the water feel slimy, walls so thin you can take to your neighbors like they are in the room with you, and many more issues. Also don't be fooled, their "renovations" are just paint that is so poorly done that they painted the carpet, the doors were painted shut, and it was peeling off the walls. Not to mention the bug problem. Lastly, management is incompetent, to say the least. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. You would be better off living under a bridge.
