I was enamored with the variety of honey options available. I've never seen such exquisite jars of honey. I means there was honey infused with chiles, ginger honey, turmeric honey and New Zealand Rata honey. The Manuka honey was the only brand that costs over $30. It's great to find natural food grocers these days...to avoid all of the chemicals in mainstream food products. The service was great, with very friendly people and a good atmosphere. I think I'm going to revisit before leaving and buy some of that honey. Highly recommend!

Came in on my first visit and was greeted by Angelina. Not like "hey welcome" she came from behind the counter to meet me in the store. I saw what I needed and grabbed it and checked out. Chatted a bit and she's a truly genuine person. Had a meeting and found out I was staying another night and remembered how welcoming and nice she was and decided to grab a protein shake before heading back to the ole hotel. As luck would have it, she was working again! So she remembered me and chatted some more. Told her I was here again and had some great convos. So much so I am writing a 5 star, which I very rarely do. On the way out she hooked me up with a 5 star shirt, which I'm wearing tomorrow due to my unplanned extended stay..to the gym. I cannot express the gratitude they showed. The kindness. The making ya feel special. Not in Texarkana much, but if I am I will most definitely be coming back.

As a native and lifelong resident, this restaurant has always been a great favorite …read more The Olde Towne Store was established in the 1980's by Twyla Guenrich, a lovely Mennonite woman who became a dear friend of mine. She donated all of the proceeds of her store to the Mennonite church. Everything was made right there in the store. Even the sandwich buns were homemade. Since those days, the store has changed management and relocated downtown. Many of the same recipes for soups and baked goods are used. Gifts and health supplements are also sold. My very favorite soup is their chicken noodle. It is rich and hearty loaded with a rich broth, chicken and noodles. The chicken salad sandwich is another favorite. My daughter, a vegetarian, likes their veggie wrap. As wonderful and unique this restaurant is, I gave it four stars instead of five because they need to bring back the homemade breads and sandwich buns. That would make it extra special once again.

Granary has such a vast array of healthy snack foods, ingredients, pills, naturally sourced foods and frozen meals. It serves a wide audience with many GF and vegan options. The only issue with health stores like Natural Grocers or Jack's is that they mark up all their prices and usually Amazon is cheaper 99% of the time. Not here.
