She didn't know the bourbons that they had, and was unwilling to name them for ordering. They ran out of lemon juice to make drinks with, and didn't offer any substitutions or suggestions for another drink. Overall very disappointing experience for the price of the drinks.

First of all, the hours of the Tack Room... which if a fantastic experience, have been cut back. I was shocked to hear their top shelf bar closes at 10 PM on a Saturday night! Then, the formally great breakfast buffet was below average. After that the courtyard hot tub did not work. When we asked question about all the changes we were told "new owners" every time. The good news is that the staff is all still awesome and try to help all they can. We spoke to two other large groups who were down for their yearly trip and they joined is in their open disapproval of the changes. The bad news is that new owners are clearly trying to cut cost and it shows. I sincerely hope they soon realize that both the La Posada Hotel and Laredo TX are quite unique in their international hospitality and traditions. They have always been so very welcoming and helpful, a main reason for the repeated trips by those who know and love it. This place has been recognized numerous times in both magazines and television programs and I hope the new owners figure out they have a gem that needs to be left to run as it has in the past, or they will lose it. I have done business in Laredo and Mexico since 2007 and speak with some experience that the worst thing groups or large corporations can do is try to "Americanize" Laredo.

NOTE: I did arrive early but requested it in the app and did not heard back from them. When I came back later the hostess was nice and the room was ready. Parking is at a premium when they are at capacity. The room needs work. No USB ports. The bathroom is VERY SMALL as is the bathroom counter. I expect more from a suite. Nice, large work area and a TV that swivels from LR to BR. The room was not completely clean ... kitchen floor and tub picture included. Breakfast was typical and cold but staff was nice.

Seems like that should have been fixed that before the room is rented out at full price. It is also near some type of railroad yard or crossing as I was woken up several times by train horns in the night. Also heard some loud noises like fork lifts running and metal sounds like things being loaded unloaded way before the sun came up. I am not sure if it was the roomI was in or this hotel is just in a bad location. Hate to move everything to a different room for tomorrow night but if I do I will add to my review if that remedied the nose issue. So they changed my room and were very nice about it.so, I upgraded my review to 4 stars. This room just felt better right away. I could still hear the train but it was a much more distant sound. There is some highway noise on the other side of the hotel but much better than a train horn in the night. The hotel gets 4 stars, the staff 5.

The rooms are spacious…read moreand super clean, so much so that our bathroom still had a fresh smell of cleaning supplies. We're in a king corner suite and there's more than enough space for my partner and I. The shower is probably my favorite bit and I love the fluffiness of the comforter. There is complimentary breakfast which is beyond your bagel and yogurt hotel breakfast. Think omelettes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, egg, fresh fruit, and so much more. Parking is complimentary and it's walking distance to the mall. Only gripe is the elevators being a bit of a mess but I'll take it.

Stayed 4 nights here as we were attending a wedding in Laredo. It's conveniently located less than…read more10 minutes from the airport. It's also really close to the mall, to Walmart and a gas station. So it's pretty much located near everything you need. Its a massively large hotel. 6 stories high. The layout was nice. With all the hotel doors facing into a central courtyard. I love the fact that they had a really nice spread of their complimentary breakfast. They had an omelette/egg section with plenty of toppings. They can also make up French toast or pancakes on their griddle. Lots of selections of pastries, fruit, granola and cereals. I also like how big the breakfast area is too, so your never waiting for a table to open up during prime time. Check in was relatively easy. There's a whole bunch of parking even though they share a parking lot with the adjacent hotel. The rooms were large and spacious as well. There's a living room with sofas and a large table (to work) and a TV. Then the large bedroom had a king size bed and another TV! The sink for the bathroom was separated from the shower and toilet which I really don't care for. The bed was super comfortable. And they have pillows of varying height for your comfort. They also have a mini fridge and microwave in each room. There's an indoor swimming pool which is nice. As well as a smaller than expected gym, but it got the workout done. I love the water feature they have in the main lobby. It was pretty cool. Several things that I didn't like though, which cumulatively resulted in the losing a star were: 1. Only 1 elevator was working during our stay. And with 6 floors and so many guests, elevators took a while. 2. Took the shower a good 5 minutes to get up to the right temp which is super annoying and wasteful. 3. Several occasions my key card all of a sudden wouldn't let me in the room, so I had to goto the front desk to get it fixed. 3B. On that note, all you have to give the front desk is the room number and they'll get you another key. Which is cool, but they don't ask for any other forms of verification, they just give u a key to the room u ask for, which is kinda scary, especially if there's a creeper or stalker following you around. 4. Ac unit was on the fries. I had the heater turned on and it kept blowing cold air. Or I would turn the unit on and it would keep on going. Overall a great and comfortable stay (not too expensive either). If your ever in the Laredo area, definitely check this place out

Amazing hotel! It's so nice and clean! I definitely enjoyed my stay here…read more My family and I were coming back from Mexico. It took us an hour and a half to cross the border! We were in some lane that didn't move for about 45 minutes! After we crossed it was getting late and we decided to stay here. We got a two-bed room. The room was big! The beds were big! The flat screen was big (enough) too! Enough for a family of five. The bathroom was very clean and really hot water came out instantly. I missed instant hot showers. In Mexico, I had to heat water to shower. There was a funky smell of sewer that came out the sink (though the water was clean). We didn't care much since we were only going to be there one night. The beds were really comfy, especially the pillows. It helped with my current neck pain. :) There are many restaurants nearby. We went to Burger King about half a mile away. It was terrible. But that's another story to tell. Here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/burger-king-laredo-5 I had a good nights sleep. It was really warm but we turned on the AC, and it worked like a charm. There was zero noise outside too. Plus, here you get COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST! But, it's ALL EMPTY CARBS. :P They have a waffle maker and warm muffins. They have cereal too! And coffee. It was delicious... but it makes you feel hungry after two or three hours. I 368643579437755 times would rather come to a Super 8 than some other hotel. It's reasonably priced too.
