Since we hadn't worked with a designer before, we started with the quick consult. Jeralyn was great. She looked at our kitchen and made recommendations that built on what we had already done. She prepared a color palate which she left for us. She then made suggestions on flooring, paint and small ways to accessorize. She charged $150 for two hours - which included a follow up phone call a few months later. The best part about working with Jeralyn, was all of her suggestions were spot on. I paid her a percentage of my budget as a fee in exchange for design assistance and project management. She was to charge me MSRP for all purchases she made on my behalf. When her proposals started to come in they seemed overly inflated. The cost she quoted for my quartz countertop was $8000... I made 1 phone call and found the exact same quartz for $6000. I found the identical blinds for $1000 less. I asked her to produce invoices for some other items I had paid in full for and she refused to provide them. A sink I paid her $500 for and took delivery of after I severed my relationship with her , i found on multiple websites for $269. There was not a retail store or website I could find that sold it for more than $330. I have worked with a number of designers on a number of projects and have never felt so blatantly taken advantage of. Definitely not a good steward of my money. Would absolutely NOT recommend .
