We recently purchased a home in rural North Dakota, 15 minutes away from Grafton at two-lane highway speeds. Cute little place in a cute little town where everybody knows everybody, that makes Grafton seem like a big city.
But like any "new" house built in the late 1800s, our little house needed all sorts of small repairs and a few bigger ones. I was grateful to find this True Value in Grafton... they have just about everything I need to fix this or that, at reasonable prices to boot. Yes, there's a big box DIY store in Grand Forks, but that's at last an hour each way from our new front porch. To be honest, it truly is do-it-yourself there... the nice folks at True Value actually helped me talk out my projects, helped me find what I needed in the store, and we're ten-kinds of friendly.
I imagine we'll be getting to know these folks better and better as the months go by. It's nice to have a local store that has what we need to keep the place tidy for years to come. read more
