Cute little place in a cute little town where everybody knows everybody, that makes Grafton seem like a big city. But like any "new" house built in the late 1800s, our little house needed all sorts of small repairs and a few bigger ones. I was grateful to find this True Value in Grafton... they have just about everything I need to fix this or that, at reasonable prices to boot. Yes, there's a big box DIY store in Grand Forks, but that's at last an hour each way from our new front porch. To be honest, it truly is do-it-yourself there... the nice folks at True Value actually helped me talk out my projects, helped me find what I needed in the store, and we're ten-kinds of friendly. I imagine we'll be getting to know these folks better and better as the months go by. It's nice to have a local store that has what we need to keep the place tidy for years to come.

The first time we went in we needed to rent a floor sander and the two young men didn't have any idea how to help us. They were apologetic and told us when to come back to ask someone who'd know. We went to Lowe's instead, for that, but for everything else we've been able to find exactly the brand and type we've needed for our projects, even the replacement pads for the sander they couldn't help us with.
