The space itself is very open, well organized and staffed with very helpful people. The kids area is a great place to take kids/grandkids for some activity on a cold day. Storytime is at 10:00, which fills up pretty quick. Easily accessible bins of books, a wooden train set table, large kitchen station with all the accessories, puzzles, magnetic tiles and more give little fingers plenty to do. Spending a couple hours here during a drab winter day is always time well spent.

I think what I loved most is that it's a great, safe place to go grab a book or do a little reading while your 4 year old can explore. There is A LOT for little kids to do here. Especially in the winter when you're a little more limited with what you can do. I think I will be going here quite a bit this winter.

Nestled in the Milwaukee Metro Area, this Sussex library features an impressive collection of DVDs,…read moreboth new releases and classics. I'm talking full box sets of Gilmore Girls, Friends, The Big C as well as new releases such as Black Swan. I can finally stop searching Google for free Redbox promo codes. Goodbye Redbox, hello always free library DVDs. Putting DVDs and other media "oh hold" is extremely easy. For example, this holiday season I wanted to watch Home Alone. I called the library and asked if the DVD was available. A reference assistant did a catalog search, found the DVD and also confirmed it with a physical search. Then she put the DVD on hold for me on a communal "hold" shelf near the library's entrance. Later that evening, I stopped by, found the DVD sorted on the shelf (in alphabetical order by last name) and checked out immediately. I was in and out within 2 minutes. Overall I'm impressed with the friendly service and easy access to materials. This week (December 7 -9th, 2011) they are closed to reorganize their library system to make finding materials easier. I'm excited to see how it turns out!

I wish this library was better than it is but it suffers from a few big issues. The main one is…read morethat it is very difficult to focus when inside due to there being no enforcement of volume levels. This seems to be a common trend as people are afraid of being labeled as "Karens" or be seen as rude, but libraries are meant to be quiet. What I am referring to is not muffled chatter or sneezes, it is full on obnoxiously loud conversations and children screaming. Part of this is difficult to fix due to the establishment being relatively cramped, with the children section barely seperated by a thin wall from the sections for reading, but primarily is due to the employees not making any effort to remedy this. I understand that libraries are communal areas and children are part of that community and should be provided experiences to learn and grow. I think it is very important that the library allows them to do this, but when they get obnoxiously loud, and begin to run around, I think the librarians are obligated to correct this. I understand this may be awkward, as that should be the job of the parents, but when they let their children treat the library like a playground, I think it is the job of the librarian to enforce the rules. Though I live much nearer to this library, I have made a habit of driving to Pewaukee's instead. For some reason, the library-goers there seem to be much more polite. Also the hours at this library suck. Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but I'd really like to see this place improve.

They allowed my mom to take guardianship of my daughter due to being an abused woman and being isolated. I went through a lot being an abused woman and they set me up with an amazing set of CHIPS workers as well as a nice guardian at litem who was very helpful in getting me the services I need in the best interest for my daughter. This courthouse is very nice; I'm waiting for Fond Du Lac courthouse to open their business so that I can write a review for them as well. That's my second favorite courthouse. I know the police at both locations that guard the courthouse and they are very helpful in getting you where you need to go. Thank you Washington court house!

You must physically go to West Bend.....One the fist working day of the calendar year in which you wish to reserve space. While I do get that they are trying to be fair and keep it simple, it was quite the ordeal. We go there at 8 when the office opened and there was a line of 15 ahead of us. We were checked in and she used a wall calendar to check if our date was available. It was so we were ushered to line number 2. We waited for about an hour before making it to the counter where we were then given a contract. Once that was filled out double stamped and copied, off to line 3 to actually pay. The whole process took about 2 hours. It was worth is to us, the prices are great and they're pretty open in terms of use and no catering specifications, etc. But, it was very nerve wracking having to wait and see if we got the date. I do love old school methods and am far from a full on techy, I would have preferred an online system for goodness sakes.

The mounds are a weedy mess. you can barely see them with all the brush and overgrowth. I don't understand why this isn't maintained better. The pavilion is nice but the interactive display is broken. there is one portapotty in the rough that anyone with a disability would struggle to get to. We study the mounds throughout the Midwest and this is the worst condition we have seen.

We recently moved, so I needed to update my driver's license with my new address. My original plan…read morewas to just walk in, but someone suggested making an appointment first to save time. They were absolutely right. Scheduling the appointment online took me a couple of tries, although that was probably more due to my own impatience than the website. I was able to book a 3:30 p.m. appointment for the same afternoon. When I arrived at the DMV around 3:15, there was already a long line of people waiting for walk-in service. The walk-in line fed a single counter, while the appointment counter right next to it had no one waiting. As soon as the staff member finished helping the current customer, she called me over. I felt a little sheepish walking past the long line, but she smiled and said, "Don't worry about it." The rest of the visit couldn't have gone more smoothly. The staff member was friendly and efficient. I had my new photo taken, signed a couple of forms, and was on my way just a few minutes later. If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be this: if your schedule allows, make an appointment before you go. You'll almost certainly be glad you did.

It is great for a small village to have this nice of a library!…read more The Good: The library was just overhauled and the remodel looks great. Plenty of tables and rooms for meetings. This library offers a lot for a village the size of Hartland, and it's nice to see the community focus. They have an amazing video and book on tape section. The Bad: They off Kurig pods at $1 a piece and the machine needs to be fixed, I got an espresso sized shot on the 8oz setting. The fact that they let you have coffee in the library is nice though! The Ugly: The parking lot can get a pit packed since they share it with the community center, but it's only an issue during certain days and times. In short, This is a wonderful resource, if you're in the area, check it out!
