Anyway, my husband needs help reading the small print on receipts. I was assisting him in leaving the tip and total when the tender rudely shouted at me to please move so that she could serve the next customer. I reacted by apologizing, ditching my husband to figure it out on his own and as I stood behind my husband realized that the entire bar was empty. She could have literally stepped to anywhere else in the bar area to serve the next customer. Most bar tenders go to where the customer is - it was the strangest experience which completely soured my feelings of this place.

This course is truly something special, not only because it's in great condition and because of its setting, but because as the game gets longer this place has still managed to remain challenging and relevant by demanding exceptional accuracy. I might have chosen driver one time on this 9-hole course, and was immediately punished for doing so by the beefy trees on the right side. While I never lost a ball off the cliff and into the lake, I must have punched out of the trees at least 3 or 4 times. The course is in fantastic condition, lush and green. The greens roll true, but in general are pretty tiny and guarded well by bunkers. The only water on course it Lake Ontario, so be wise with your club selection. Accuracy over distance all day, a great hybrid/rescue club is a must. The 1st tee box is intimidating, as a lot of people are likely to be watching you, and should you hit one off the toe, you might but someone in peril. The course seems to stay busy, and it's likely it won't be the fastest round of golf you've played, but this course isn't just about golf. Take in the beauty, and hit em' well. Would definitely play again!

Excellent golf course with a unique and challenging layout. This was the perfect spot to play on a…read moreweekend getaway to the Buffalo and Niagara area. The guy working the club house said it was in the best condition of all the area courses, and he was not kidding. He also said "in general, don't miss right" which was also partially true... but really, he could have just said "don't miss" and it would have been just as palpable. The course is not very long for the most part, but is well protected by hazards. These manifest as natural reeded marsh, ponds and creeks, large pot bunkers, and just general woods. Accuracy is at a premium over distance, I think I only hit driver off the tee three times, opting instead for 3 wood or 3i hybrid in the majority of cases. The greens were immaculate, true rolls and good speed. In general, the course was very well maintained, the staff kind, bathroom breaks convenient and clean, and the drink cart girl showing up right when you needed her services! The starter let us go as a twosome without having to wait and be paired up, yay! We also hit a small bag of balls on the practice range before the round, and found it to be in good shape as well. We would absolutely play this gem of a golf course again.
