They had packages available and the receptionist told me if I purchased one it can be split between myself and my daughter! I go there for the appointment and payment and another totally different receptionist said it cannot be done! I asked why they never gave me a straight answer! So I went ahead and purchased a package for my daughter! And paid for my initial order! My daughter appointment was tomorrow and she will not be able to make it! I called and spoke with dr grace to see if I my mother in law can come in her place! She said no but I can! I told her that I would rather have my mother in law receive treatment and she said the packages cannot be transferred only used by the person who purchased it! I said ok then I can come she put me on hold for 10 minutes and came back to the call and said no you can't it can only be used by the one who purchased it! Well doctor you said I could but now you are saying I cannot! The. I am the one who paid for it and if that's policy it should be in writing!! Then I asked if they have gift cards she said yes! So I can purchase a gift card and give to whoever and they can receive treatment! But I can't purchase a package and possibly become a reoccurring customer and transfer to whoever! She is the owner and the doctor and claimed she can not do so! My theory is she chose not to! Just to create another situation for me to pay more money for service that I may or may not have time to used! She was pretty rude and disrespectful over the phone instead of arguing I told her cancel the appointment and keep the rest of the money. I will never do business with them again.!

It was very easy to make an appointment over the phone and the location was also easy to find. I ended up getting a hydrafacial from Alice who was very sweet and knowledgable. It was my first time getting the procedure so I asked a ton of questions which she patiently answered. She explained what she was doing through every step of the process and made sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable the entire time. The entire procedure took a little under an hour and the coolest part was at the end when she showed me all the junk that had been extracted from my face! I had a couple of other skin concerns which I asked Alice about afterwards. She gave me an assessment, recommended that I see another specialist and then hooked me up with a ton of skincare samples that might help. She also gave me her number and told me to call anytime if I had questions about any of the skincare products or after-care procedure. My skin currently looks/feels amazing and I will definitely be returning here if I'm ever in the area again. Thank you Alice!!!

I read a recent review where the writer said the same information could have been obtained in a single book. That is not my experience. Yes, much of the information is out there but to sort through a world of information, apply it in a methodical and evidence based way, and at a pace that promotes true change, have a customized supplement plan based on ME.....if it was that simple I would have applied it all years ago and wouldn't be seeking help. And it's more than just knowledge, it's personal guides that each listen intently and provide support, more knowledge and suggestions, and yes, they keep me accountable. Change that includes nutrition, physical and emotional well-being, profoundly managing the impact of stress and so much more takes time and honestly is challenging And it's all intertwined. It doesn't happen overnight. My personal hurdles, besides, wanting to be the healthiest I can be, include chronic insomnia, a battle with sugar that goes way beyond a sweet tooth, and physical and emotional changes from 6 years of of caregiving for 3 elderly family members with a variety of illnesses and dementia. Since I started working with the Waterleaf team almost 4 months ago I can see steady progress. But the best and most succinct description of the changes came from my husband who said "you are happier and more present."

From the very beginning, she took the time to truly listen, understand the root causes of my concerns, and provide a holistic, personalized treatment plan that went far beyond symptom relief. When I came to her, I had most recently experienced THREE emergency room visits for desperately low iron, excessive bleeding (that is now called menopause flooding) and several other very concerning and related ailments. Each time I ended up in the ER, the teams threatened to give me a blood transfusion. My traditional doctor at the time highly recommended hormone therapy, birth control and iron supplements. I was alarmed at these suggestions and felt they were so alien to the gentle, loving & natural healing process my body, mind & health truly needed... I discovered Dr. Houston right after this time and she took an ideal approach that my body has responded to incredibly! Dr. Houston's deep knowledge of naturopathy, combined with her compassionate, intuitive approach, has made a remarkable difference in my overall well-being--physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically. I feel more balanced, more resilient, and more in tune with my body, mind and whole Being than ever before. What I appreciate most is her unwavering dedication, expertise, follow-through, genuine care and prioritization for my long-term health. Right along with you, Dr. Houston creates a design for what is best for you and then holds you accountable. I've even have her give me a sobering talk when my choices were not aligning with the wellness plan that I co-created for my own health. If you're looking for a naturopathic doctor who treats the whole person and is committed to your healing journey, I highly recommend Dr. Houston.
