Yeah not really. Was told my order for digital photos ("only $99," like that's normal...) went through and got a tracking number and all (???) to then get an email a few days later saying I had yet to complete it. Checked my bank statement and indeed, nothing had gone through. So tried again, but this time it took me a full 30 minutes. I had to quit the site, clear my cache and come back in order to make it so that the email field would stop replacing the address I entered into "placeholder@mail.com"--which made it so that I could not complete order because of a "problem with shipping address"----which who knows, could've been something else, too. They don't tell you what the problem is. Couldn't enter my legitimate foreign number either (despite trying different variations of area code, no area code, etc) so had to enter an old American number I no longer use. Plus the myriad of adverts on this website and weak attempts at making customers buy more shit is beyond ridiculous. Photos are lame, I guess it's my fault I'm not photogenic, but the quality itself is ok I find. Especially since they take them like they would photograph items on the carpet of a chain production factory (Ah! graduation feels like that, too!) Of course only did digital because the shipping cost was an extra $30, on top of an additional $10 for just upgrading to having TWO 5x7 prints. So technically, zero stars. Didn't even mention how buggy the actual webpages are, the ones for checkout literally bounce from bottom to top three times upon loading. Lol. I don't understand how universities, even supposedly "prestigious" ones continue working with services like these. Coughing up money to scammers to the very last minute (AFTER graduating). read more

Beware if you are purchasing items from Grad Images and you live outside the USA. I purchased a digital image of a relative on the stage at their graduation. The quality was reasonable. Grad Images customer services helped locate the correct image and the link to download it came quickly following purchase. Yes, it was expensive but I bear in mind that they probably paid a fairly hefty 'kick-back' to the university who, in turn, had to fund the ceremony; entry to the latter was free. Also, having purchased the digital image I can make as many copies as I like. The problem was that on top of the cost of the image Grad Images imposed a 20% tax on my purchase. They claim that this is "Because you billing address is located in Great Britain & Northern Ireland you were charged there [sic] Tax rate." I asked them to refund or justify this tax charge which corresponds with the UK 20% VAT (Value Added Tax) rate. My understanding is (a) this transaction is not liable to UK VAT and (b) even if it was, and they are collecting VAT on behalf of the UK Government, they should be able to provide me with a VAT registration number in order to show that the collection of the tax is legitimate. Basically, Grad Images refused to give an answer on this point so I complained to both my credit card provider and the Florida State Division of Consumer Services. The latter couldn't get anywhere but my credit card provider refunded the 'tax' amount (5 stars to them!). I pointed out that if the collection of tax is not legitimate and the supplier is retaining the amount then the imposition of this charge is possibly illegal. read more

So I bought the images; parents and family wanted some and they were much better than anything anyone else could have gotten (Wolstein Center, no one close enough to take a good photo), so paid way too much money for several photos, plus shipping. Every couple days, received an email from them, saying "The deadline is approaching, you must order your photos before the deadline!" So, being a naive idiot, I did so. Six days after the original deadline, get another email "We've extended the deadline! Order now, free shipping!" I'm sorry, come again? You send dozens of emails prior to some magical, made-up deadline, coercing people into buying your product and then NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER turn around and tell us we can order even later and not pay shipping? Bull. Attempted to contact their customer service and ask for a refund on just the shipping (as would be the right thing to do) and haven't heard anything back. Don't know how this company continues to stay in business (perhaps no competition) but this is garbage. If you can avoid them, do so at all costs. If not, wait until after the deadline passes, then order your photos. The deadline is just their way of saying "We don't want to pay for shipping, so you should!" Gradimages, you are the single worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Never again will you scam myself or anyone I can inform. read more

I must say despite the many negative reviews, I am quite pleased with the end result of my service. First, the photographer did a horrible job in taking my only graduate picture (with my hood and diploma) but my tassel was over my eye. Don't know why they did not see or had taken a couple different shots to choose from. I first called and spoke to someone that apparently had no idea on how to do her job. She left me on hold for some time til I called on my other line and got through to Catherine who was "awesome". Everything that the other girl said couldn't be done, Catherine assured me it could be done. I was skeptical after reading all the other reviews but optimistic on the outcome. My pictures were delivered in a timely manner and exactly how it was suppose to, with the tassel off my eyelash. THANK YOU so much Catherine for turning something that I thought was a disaster and making it possible. Wish I remembered the first young lady name as she had poor phone etiquette, even after I asked if she was certain that it couldn't be done and to speak to a manager but left on hold with no intention of returning. It just shows how a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch giving this company such a bad rep. There are some good ones left that's willing to make things right. Thanks again Catherine Holmes! I make it a point to reach out to companies when their employees not only preform to substandard qualities, but when they do a good job as well. May 21, 2016 was a rainy, frustrating day. Washington College changed their minds on where the graduation ceremony was going to be held no less than 100 times. The night before my sister told me it was going to be inside the athletic center. When I arrived to campus, staff told me it was going to be held outdoors. Mind you it was still raining at this point. After sitting in the rain for 25 minutes, we were informed that the graduation would be in the athletic center after all. When we arrived, it was a mad house. There were no seats in the gym, so 1000+ people crammed inside the vestibule to escape the rain. After waiting about an hour, they finally let us inside. People pushed and ran to get the best seats. I wasn't doing any of that, so I ended up close to the back. The first smile and kind voice we heard all morning came from your photographer, Rachelle. She welcomed us to the event and informed us that we would be able to view pictures of the graduation online. She even stood a joked with us about the weather, even though she had a stack of cards to pass out. I watched her do the same to other families. She was really a bright spot in a cloudy, wet day. read more

Don't waste your money! I ordered photos of my son's graduation and the quality of the photos are horrible. They are grainy and colors faded. I made numerous calls and sent several emails with a photo of the photos that they requested for "evidence". They did not respond to the first 3 emails to 2 different people. When I called them they accused me of filtering the photo that I sent. This is not true. I am a senior and not tech savvy to do such a thing. I had to ask them what they meant by that. They argued with me all day today about it and kept asking for another pic of the photos. I sent it to them like 4 times. They do not stand by their "100 % satisfaction or money back". They make you jump through hoops and then argue. The last email they said I could send them back for a refund but they do not pay shipping which they charge 12.99 for the shipping. With what I paid for the less than home printing quality photos shipping to receive then to pay again to return it would cost me one fourth of the photos pkg cost. I recommend having a photo session done by friends or relatives instead of getting ripped off by this company and dealing with poor customer service. read more

My daughter's graduation photos had a reflection off of the plastic covering of her diploma. Her graduation was outdoors on a sunny day. You could not see the big red "N" on the diploma when I received her keepsake plaque and photos. I called in and it was suggested that if I had the images "retouched" that this might help. So, I paid for retouching and they redid my entire order. The glare was still in the photos and was still unacceptable. I was concerNed that there was going to be nothing they could do. Grad Images customer service representative agreed with me anout the quality of the retouch and had the production team work with some photoshop options to get rid of the glare. The images were emailed to me for my approval and they look great. Gradimages is refoung my entire order again at no charge. You may think it is crazy that I am giving them a 5 star rating since the first retouch was not successful. The glare of the sunny day on the plastic diploma cover was not avoidable and GradImages worked with me every step of the way to get these keepsake images to look great. I appreciate the extra effort in resolving my issues professionally and expeditiously! read more

This company is a joke. The university sets it up so that on graduation day, your family is unable to take pictures close up when you walk or shake hands with the chancellor. The only person allowed to is the rep from grad images. So they have a monopoly on taking nice pictures of you on graduation day. So then, since they are the only ones able to take pictures of you, they charge ridiculous prices for simple photos that anyone could easily take with their iPhone. Their marketing tactics are also scummy. They start emailing you right after graduation, claiming that you only have a few days left to purchase your pictures. We ended up buying mine over 9 months after I graduated. So their claims that you have limited time to buy are false. They even spelled my name wrong in the custom story video. They try to scare you into buying your pictures else they'd be gone for good. This company capitalizes and profits off of a precious moment in you and your family's life, and then provides a mediocre product. I would not recommend, and say to do your best to take your own photos during your event. read more

Zero stars. They are horroble. Who the heck wants a wallet size print package? Does anyone still have wallets? I just want the digital files of the 3 lousy pictures they took while blocking me from taking my own pictures. They won't just sell the digital files, so you have to order old fashioned prints and scan them if you want digital files. Fn jerks. Typical government contractor scam, they obviously give kickbacks to the school somehow. I picked the cheapest package, so as to waste the least amount of money on the scam. 86 dollars somehow escalated to over 120 by the time I checked out. I'm literallly sick to my stomach. Only when the government is involved in screwing me do I ever get that feeling. Can't they just get some of the trillions that they print and steal from us every year, and not have to go through the trouble and expense of being an obstacle to getting a picture? Ripoff. School chose this company instead of just asking someone with a decent DSLR to post up? Really overpriced "packages". Monopoly on your graduation and it's $100 just to download 5 photos. They didn't post every photo that was taken of each person either, and couldn't be bothered to select the ones where our eyes were open? They got like 5 shots in 1 second, where are the rest of them? iPhone portrait mode or even live photo would have been better than this shooter, at least then I could fix it in post. Huge waste of money, don't know how they got this contract but it's our only option and everyone was really disappointed with the results. They basically keep people from having family members with DSLRs get a good shot by blocking off the right real estate in the venue. Chances are you won't have a choice, just plan ahead and get your graduation photos taken before the event so you don't have to rely on and pay a fortune for a handful of mediocre pictures in front of a Sears portrait background from awkward family photos. read more

At my university graduation, they took only ONE picture of me at and you can't even see my face! When I received the email with this photo, I asked why they didn't stop to take one second and take another photo and they only said, "Thanks for contacting GradImages! Unfortunately that is the only photo available. We do apologize for the inconvenience. If there's anything we can do to bring the quality of our photos up please let us know." Seriously? You can bring up the quality of your photos by actually hiring professionals to appropriately capture the most SIGNIFICANT moment in someone's life! That moment is GONE forever and they couldn't bother to say, "Hey, let's take one more to make sure we get a good one"? Why not? Was the photographer so busy or careless that it didn't matter to her? Someone needs to tell the universities and colleges - Just Say No to this bunch of scam artists. $15 for a 5x7 and $8 to ship 2 of them. Shipping notice on 5/21 w/o a tracking number. I emailed them. They don't have tracking numbers. WHAT!!! It out to be in a gold box when it arrives at that price for shipping, much less the photos. They would not ship to my PO Box, only to my street address. I've had to leave the rural carrier a note in the box to please bring them to the door. Heaven help me if it's on the day we have the terrible substitute. He'll bend them and put them in the box. I emailed back and forth with CS several times about the ability to track the package to know what day to be looking for it. They are about as useless as tits on a boar. Too bad these shysters are the only ones that are allowed to get close enough to photo the grads getting their degrees handed to them. 0 Stars would be the preferred rating. GradImages is an absolute nightmare. Their customer service is even worse. I highly recommend not counting on them to be your photographer on your graduation day. My first problem came when their website was glitching. After numerous attempts at downloading a single image, the wrong image downloaded. That was a $50 mistake.. I contacted them before even downloading the image, but I was told there was nothing they could do. Then, I wanted to purchase a large photo bundle from graduation, but the images came in about 10 different galleries. When I asked if that could be remedied, I was told it was "against company policy." $100 for two digital downloads that are not even high quality?!? - I know as the first photo downloaded was blurry. It feels like a SCAM! I beyond disappointed. One of my biggest life events and I depended on a company when I shouldn't have. Don't make the same mistake! read more

I initially wrote a HORRIBLE review. My pictures were crooked and couldn't get in touch with anyone. So I took to YELP! Well, my review was noticed by Ms. Jackson and I gave her a shot at making it right. And boy did she! Ms. Jackson had the pictures corrected (very nicely I might add) AND sent me complimentary 5x7s of the corrected pictures without any obligation of placing an order. Well, the corrected pictures turned out great and I did end up placing an order today. And yes, the pictures are quite pricey but I just purchased high school graduation pictures from another company and they are all pricey. (Your heartstrings get tugged on!) I'm very happy to say that I'm glad that I gave them a try and Ms. Jackson does really care about making the customer happy. It's unfortunate that these measures need to be taken in order to get a response but I'm grateful for the help received by Ms. Jackson. read more

My review is moreso for her superiors because she resolved my concerns in one interaction verses the numerous phone calls and emails I have made with only broken promises and stall tactics. One of my greatest achievements and momentous occasion was only allowed to be captured by gradimages because I wanted my own photographer. No one should have to go through what I did to get the only evidence and pictures that show my accomplishment from my hard work and dedication. Over 3 weeks of waiting, I even described exactly where I was sitting and gave the name of the people I was sitting next to because I know they were asking for their pictures too. I am very appreciative that Andrea answered my call. She needs recognition and some type of appreciation like a bonus or raise. She understood the importance and completed the task. Danielle at Grad Images made my review a 5 Star for customer service. There was a particular shot of my son that I really wanted, but it didn't come with the other images. It was not one of the "normal" grad images. When I called and asked about it, Danielle couldn't initially find the image, but then about 1 1/2 hours later I received a call back from her. She had stayed after work to look for the image and had found it. It hadn't been labeled properly. I was so happy to be able to order that particular image because it was so unique. I just ordered tonight so I haven't received my order to comment on the quality; however, the customer service I received from Daniel was truly exceptional -- a great customer experience. I really appreciated her going the extra mile to find that image. I did find the photos expensive, so make sure to check out the daily deals which are more reasonably priced. read more

I ordered a "Commencement Plaque" Photo from GradImages and we just received the product. We are extremely disappointed with the product quality. We paid a lot of money for such bad quality. (1) Commencement Plaque $44.95 (issue - photo is visibly crooked on the plaque) (2) Custom Plus Touch-Up $19.95 (issue - photo touch up was never done. The original photo was used) (3) Portrait Blur Effect $24.95 (issue - background blur effect was never done. The background was still clearly visible and no blurring was done. Again, the original photo was used). This was a major life event (university graduation) for my family. This plaque was a present for my son's grandparents which we now cannot give under this condition. I am hoping that GradImages can reply back as soon as possible with an explanation and a solution. My daughter recently graduated from St John Fisher College in Pittsford NY. Grad images were the photographers & the pictures were great. When I ordered there was an accidental mistake made on the online order & I contacted them about how to return & reorder & they went out of their way to make my life & pictures wonderful!! There was no hassle & they took care of everything after I gave them the correct information & received the correct photos within the 10 days..actually less than 10. And we were very pleased!! So not only are the photographers great so is the customer service. I highly recommend this business & hope to do more business in the future with them. They turned a bad mistake into a beautiful memory that we as a family will have for years to come! And the pictures can become memories for our future generations. read more

So I received my graduation photos from FIU and I must say I was super excited because they look great and this was a huge moment for me and my family. I loved my images and went to order right away only to find that the website was a bit confusing so I called in because I had several questions about ordering. I spoke with a representative there and much to my surprise they were more helpful than I expected, especially being that I dislike calling in to places because I can never receive the help needed. However, the representative was able to answer all of my questions (and I asked quite a few) and assisted me in placing my order right then without any hassle. The level of patience and service I received from the representative at this company is amazing. I am looking forward to receiving my photos in the mail soon. read more
