White meat chicken, collards, cornbread and Mac n. Cheese.

This place is a hidden gem. I must admit, I know about it but don't often go in because I'm either eating from a bad or want more of a sit down experience. This is in between. Order from the counter and sit at one of the tables or take to go. Both are convenient options. They don't have a lot of hot menu items. Mostly sandwiches and salads. But they have a nightly special for $10! What a nice surprise! Tonight's dinner was fried chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese, cornbread and coleslaw. That's a lot of food for $10! Now I'm planning my next outing there. Maybe Tuesday for meatloaf! They also have packaged fresh meals to go at very reasonable prices. Check them out!

Maybe their other menu items are better. I admit this is my first time trying them out so get it could be a one off, but this was awful. I essentially got a sundried tomato wrap (that was the best part) with a few warm mushrooms, maybe a few slices of red pepper and 90% lettuce. Bland and basically just a wrap filled with lettuce. In short, if you actually like flavor don't order this abomination. Edit: the pickle was decent.

First time trying Gracious Plenty was for lunch on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend - this place was busy! The food exceeded my expectations - I had the turkey wrap on a tomato tortilla. The turkey and the cream cheese spread were very good, but the tortilla itself was super flavorful - usually spinach or tomato tortillas are just green or red yet flavorless, but this one actually tasted tomato-y. I had fruit salad on the side, which really should just be called a fruit cup because it was just cut up fruit, no dressing or seasoning. Husband had the pear & blue cheese salad with shrimp added. He really enjoyed it, but the dressing was the low point - it's a vinaigrette that separates really easily, so it was hard to combine the layers in the little condiment cup it came in, which is important if you're a dressing dipper instead of a dressing pourer. I'm not sure if this is a Covid thing or an "everyone is short staffed" thing, but my wrap and other sandwiches were served on regular ol' paper plates like you'd buy for your family at Target. Husband's salad came in a clear to-go container with a large paper plate for him to move it to, which seemed a little odd as well. Despite a little bit of weirdness with the presentation, the food was really solid and VERY affordable. We would definitely return for a super casual lunch.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Prospect. Everything is wonderful from weekend brunch to take and bake dishes. Highly recommend.

If you want a home cooked breakfast, don't look any further. The eggs, bacon, sausage, and strawberry pancakes were all yummy.

I normally don't eat salads but had the Strawberry & Orange salad. It wasn't really good and would like to have it again

I had a delicious club the first time we went with potato salad. Second time I got a turkey sandwich and fruit! The turkey was yummy, way better than average lunch meat. You order at the counter and they make it right there for you. You get a beeper and can sit wherever. They have more seating upstairs as well as outdoor seating. It took 20+ minutes to get our food, and, by that time, the place had emptied out. We had a decent amount of food so the waitress helped bring it out to our table since one couldn't hold it all. We tried a variety of sandwiches: cubano, meatloaf, and a burger. We also tried the onion rings and fries. With the tip it was $55. None of the dishes stood out to us. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good enough for me to want to come back. There is an overall lack of flavor. I love the concept and small, hole in the wall location, but they could improve the food.

What a wonderfully inviting coffee shop/cafe that is located in the Clifton neighborhood just off…read morethe Mellwood Avenue exit on I-64. I came for the coffee, but oh that display of homemade bakery items had me drooling! I had the Turkish Coffee which was a complete experience. The barista talked me through the process of making the coffee, as he was rolling the small, long-handled coffee pot in warm sand, to ensure even heat distribution and to create a foam. The coffee was served in traditional fashion using gorgeous serviceware that consisted of a long-stemmed coffee pot, a small demitasse-type cup, a covered dish with a small sweet item (in my case a small cookie), and water for cleansing the palate. I was worried that the coffee would be too strong for my taste, but it was not strong at all and had a much different taste than espresso. It was deliciously full-bodied and satisfying. The cafe was spotlessly clean with a warm and relaxing vibe with many tables. I especially enjoyed the wall of famous people and events from Middle Eastern countries. Ample street-side parking is available on area streets.

First: the Turkish coffee. This was served traditionally (as best I can tell), in beautiful servingware with a coffee pot, small mug and cup of water to drink to cleanse the palate. My friend's tea was served in a tea press which I liked as well. Cafe Shiraz also boasted a well stocked case of pastries. I enjoyed a pastry stuffed with chorizo. Cafe Shiraz had many indoor tables. It was a perfect place to chat. Such a great coffee spot all the way around.

It's the Little Yellow House that is so quaint. The Owner is Susan Woodward, and she is such a hard worker! Donna, our Server was fantastic! She answered every question, knew everything about every sandwich, every soup and every dessert. She had the fastest assistants that brought us our drinks and kept our glasses filled and delivered our food. Their menu is very well laid out and full of the most amazing lunches. I didn't need to go past the Hot Brown! My husband and I both ordered Hot Browns. This is our very favorite item! It was delicious. There was a lot of tender turkey, covered with the best tasting Mornay Sauce and topped with beautiful tomatoes. I'm sorry there wasn't enough room to get up and take pictures of everyone's food. I did get a picture of our Hot Brown and our friend's Meatloaf and Chili. You'll just need to stop by and have hunch with them. And don't forget to check out their desserts. They have cake slices, pie slices, strawberry rolls and Cheesecake. Since it was 3/14, Pi Day, their Key Lime Pies were very popular. I posted the 4 pages of the menu for you to look over.
