I was recommended by a friend of mine to Gracious Flooring for flooring needs. Initially I was impressed by their selection and didn't bother doing my research when I look back. If you live anywhere outside of Brampton, don't bother making your purchase from Gracious. I live in Waterdown and was getting Vinyl floor installed for my entire main floor. When we were making the purchase, we were promised that since they are doing the install, they guarantee the install and will pick up any cost from damages. I even had to pay $300 for the distance on top of everything else. They hire international students to do the installs, and it shows. I even made their life easy by having the install done before moving in so they had no furniture to move around. After they left, I came across issues in their installs and have been chasing after them to get the issues fixed but it's the same excuse every time. Their excuse is because I live too far and that they keep telling their installer but they don't want to come out. Then why did I pay $300??? It's not like I live extremely far, just next to Burlington. With this level of service, don't expect them to give you any service after the transaction is complete. Make sure you go over their install before completing the transaction. I've attached only some of the pictures to show you the level of their amateur install. Some of them didn't even click into place properly and move around. Others were damaged because they pushed it too hard. Their installers are not employees but rather contractors regardless of what they try to tell you. An employee would not have an option not to go to a customer's house to fix an install, a contractor would. read more

We paid 13,000.00 to Gracious Hardwood in 2018 to install hardwood floors and stairs in our home. The installation was completed in September 2018. 1 day after the installation, we called Gracious and said something is wrong with the installation of the floors. The floors have large gaps in the floors and make sounds everywhere on the floor. That being said, we have called Gracious Hardwood over 300 times to have them fix the issue. They make endless excuses, avoid phone calls and outright have their staff lying to customers. It is now July 2018, almost a year since installation and Gracious has yet to remedy the issue. Anjali, the Owner is not a repsonsible business owner. She clearly just cares about making the money but does not care about the service and quality that her company offers. Anjali had her supplier come into my home to try to push the blame on them. However, it was not a product issue but clearly an installation issue. The unfortunate thing is that Gracious would rather lose potential business than to fix their issues. Many of their existing reviews online have the same theme. I have notified the company should they not make any resolutions to these severe issues with their product I would be filing a complaint. read more

My full review is on Google but in summary: -they took a deposit -showed up 5 days late -workers did an hour's worth of work when we noticed some damage elsewhere resulting from their tools -Anjali shows up, quickly becomes aggravated that we are concerned about the damage (but does not say she will fix it if there is further damage) -Anjali walks out after putting a big hole in our kitchen, tells her workers to pack up their things and says on her way out "I will not be returning your deposit" even though WE DID NOT ASK HER TO LEAVE or cancel the job We got our money back from Visa but if we had paid the deposit another way, it would have been unnecessary stress caused by someone who thinks she can cancel from her end and also keep your money. She is all sugar at first but its just a sales tactic, she quickly changes her tune. AVOID THIS PLACE. If you are skeptical of bad reviews then at least consider some advice: 1) pay with your credit card (at least your deposit) 2) ask them to write down their payment structure (full payment up front is NOT normal) 3) ask them for a written guarantee of their work If they are unwilling to put these things in writing that alone should be major red flags. read more

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I am currently taking this company to small claims because they installed the wrong flooring and are refusing to fix it or give me a refund. They have been ignoring our calls and the manager - ANJALI - tried to hide from us when we went to her store. She got her monkey staff member to warn her when we were there so that she wouldn't come back. He told us she was in Markham and wouldn't be back for a few hours, when we CLEARLY saw her GRACIOUS FLOORING van drive into the parking lot and then drive out after he called her to let her know we were there. So we left and came back 20 minutes later and lo and behold, there she was. Got her confession that the company made a mistake on record and we will now see them in court. Gracious Hardwood Flooring is the worst company you could ever go to. Buyer Beware. Save yourself the stress and go to a professional company that won't treat their customers poorly. read more

I recommend not doing business with this company. I was referred by a friend of the owner so did not do my due diligence in researching first. I was looking for hardwood flooring and stair refacing. The work was done one year ago and as soon as the flooring was installed, they made a crackling sound when I walked on them. The installers said it was because the flooring was new but I had not experienced that before when I had hardwood installed in my previous home. Anjaly, the owner, bent over backwards to get my business, but as soon as I gave her my initial, and large deposit, she was unreachable for any questions or issues. When the flooring was delivered, the driver requested another $5k payment on the spot, which I had not been informed of, and had expected to pay the rest of the bill at the end of the job. They would not leave the material unless I paid on the spot...I just happened to be onsite at that moment to run an errand for other trade workers who were working on other renos. Also, the wrong pillars and spindles were delivered for the staircase, which I happened to catch the next day, and in order for me to have the correct material sent, I had to dig up the initial quote that had been provided to me on scrap paper by Anjaly to basically prove I had purchased the better material. The material itself is not the best quality even though I had purchased premium materials. I have also not been able to remove what appears to be glue from certain rooms in the house and hikes were cut too small for floor vents. Over the past year I attempted to contact Anjaly a number of times to address the crackling and glue issues. I was able to speak to her once and she advised she would send the installers back but not a word from anyone. There are reputable flooring places out there. Find one and give your business to them. This woman does not deserve your business and you will not be happy with crackling floors. It's embarrassing to have company over to see all the renos and hear that sound when they walk across the floor. I spent $11,000 and I'm not happy with the workmanship, quality of wood, or my customer experience. read more

I now live in Brampton. Gracious Hardwood Flooring replaced all the carpets in our house with hardwood flooring. Their prices were too good to pass up. They had a good variety to choose from. All along the process of selection, their sales people were very patient with the times that I changed my mind, once almost at the last moment. They were very knowledgeable. All installation was done at time of my choice and workmanship was of very good quality. I highly recommend people to buy from them. As for me, I went back and got my kitchen renovated through them. When you visit their show room, make sure to ask for a cup of chai from their new machine. It is free, of course. But it is very tasty. read more

I had laminate floors installed by this company and am very disappointed with the installation - very poor workmanship. I would never, ever recommend their services. They do have a good selection and pricing, however, the installation was the worst I have ever seen. I am still very upset as I have to live in the house looking at the unprofessional work every single day. I had taken several photographs of the unprofessional finish for review by the owner but Instead of admitting the errors, she insisted that I was "too fussy"! Photographs are available for review. The other disappointment was instead of using the garage, they brought in all their tools and cut the laminate in the living room. Reason given - it would take too much time to go up and down - that is absolutely ridiculous as it made a complete mess of the whole house. Finally, I was told the job would be completed in 5 days, however, the owner decided to send the installers to another unfinished job without having the courtesy of informing me. As a result I lost a deposit paid to the movers, in addition to other inconveniences caused by the delay. read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THEM. That's my SINCERE advice. We had our whole floor ground floor changed by exotic species of wood from them. Well during the time that the lady ANJALI was soliciting business she was oh so professional and doing all sort of promises, once the installing was done by her installers, she did not even come to see the job completed. After a few weeks some planks were loose and the wood started gaping at LOTS of places and our innumerable calls to her resulted in NO RESPONSE. We had even conditioned the wood for two weeks before installing but overall VERY DISSATIFIED, CRAPPY JOB done by her. I REGRET THE DAY I GAVE THIS JOB TO THIS UNKNOWN COMPANY ON RECOMMENDATION OF A REALTOR. NEVER DO IT. Later I came to know that she had given a special deal to the realtor for his recvommendations.
