If you're tired of religion, traditional church, or you think you know what church is like (and don't like it), then Grace Fellowship is for you! We exist to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. That's right, we want to help you discover what it means to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this by helping everyone at Grace Fellowship to Invite, Connect, Grow, and Go.
History
Established in 2003.
Grace Fellowship was started by a group of families who had the heart to reach Wise County and beyond in a way that was purpose-driven.
We see a church that impacts Wise County & beyond, with thousands of people connected each week. A church where children come to a place that is exciting and fun as they learn about God and His love. A church where families, marriages, and relationships are healed and strengthened. A church that meets the practical needs of people; that loves like Jesus loves - by reaching out to all people regardless of their past, race, or social standing. We see a church that's known as the "friendliest church I've ever attended".
Meet the Manager: BJ R.
Pastor BJ Rutledge grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from Central HS and Angelo State University. He got his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Biology with a Secondary Teaching Certificate for the state of Texas. He attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he got his Masters of Divinity Degree.
BJ is married to his wife, Janet, and together they have three children, all of whom are married, and five grandchildren.
BJ's hobbies include just about anything outdoors, and he loves to be in the mountains. He likes to fish and hunt, even though he rarely gets to do either of these much now, and taught each of his children the joy of hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing golf and riding motorcycles when he gets the chance.
Pastor BJ has many favorite scriptures. When asked to narrow it down to a few BJ said his favorites would be: Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB), Psalm 119:160 (NASB), Philippians 4:6-8 (NASB) and Romans 3:22 (NLT)
