My family and I have been members of this terrific body of believers since 2009 and we couldn't be more enthusiastic about how the Met has grown in its authenticity and heart for hurting people, both locally and around the world over the years. God has produced this amazing result by working through the Senior Pastor, Bill Ramsey, his dearly departed wife Cindy, who went to spend eternity with Jesus last May, the Executive Pastor and Worship Leader, Rob Johnson, many members of the staff, hundreds of volunteers and even an occasional heckler. The Met Church is on mission every day to connect lost, hurt and lonely people in greater Fort Worth and around the world to their Creator and to one another. The Children Ministry is exciting, engaging and definitely educational as our three children loved going to Church. Locally we have established a food pantry and as it grew, we were able to set up a 501.c-3 organization called the Help Out Center to expand opportunities for people and organizations to support the effort. The result is that through the generosity of many, the Help Out Center food pantry has given away over two million dollars worth of food in the past two years. We have taken the grocery bill off the table for hundreds of local families in need, even more since Covid-19 shutdowns occurred. This is a great blessing from God.
You could describe the Met as "seeker friendly" but you would be just scratching the surface of the breadth of ministry on display here. The Bible is preached every week and opportunities abound to go deeper in Bible study both in person and online. A major international focus is our support of God Cares School and orphanage in Kampala Uganda. We must be close to 10 consecutive years of mission trips, child sponsorship, and love gifts to help these wonderful children grow up to become leaders in their home Country.
We have been blessed over the years with a worship band made up of a super talented musicians and vocalists who help everyone to come into corporate worship of our Savior regardless of the troubles we experienced on the trip over or the challenges we are facing after we leave.
Are we perfect? by no means. Are mistakes made at times, yes. Might the music be played a little too loud sometimes, sure. (Just in case, I am not ashamed to say, I bring ear plugs and it sound great!) As a body, we strive to live Micah 6:8 which reads: He has told you O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? You see it isn't about you or me , it's all about Jesus. I pray that you will check out our service online this week...Saturday at 5:00 PM and Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 AM to hear another great message of hope. God Bless you. read more
