This review is for the church as well as the school.
When my…read moreson enrolled in pre k, I naturally wondered how his day was...
Now, entering 2nd grade, I know he's doing fine.
I'm in love with security settings, the old fashioned door holders for parents and the comfy and cozy setting. Tuition is the lowest in the area, and combined with scholarships, discounts for income and fundraisers, the school not only stands strong fiscally, but also feels good for your wallet. The principal-a carbon copy of my quick as a whip personality, is warm, all business( it is s business after all) and she takes care of your needs as s family , and isn't afraid to tell parents off over their disrespectful children. My son was giving lip during one of his years and it was nipped in the bud. My family holds teachers in very high regards, therefore that one and only conference was all my family needed . I appreciate the no nonsense ways.
Lunch is filling and provided at a low cost with option for discounts based on income. Although little to no enrichment is offered, thays okay. I'm the parent, and it's my job to find sports or other outlets for my son. After care is great for working parents, that runs from about 315-530. A summer camp would be wonderful for the school, as well as the economy overall- but that's fine! I'm sure the clergy members are busy enough during the year!
Sr.joanne, the principal , does enough.
Always available, always upfront, so to speak. Returns your calls and works with you with concerns.
Close to two years ago, my son was nearly hit by a speeding car in the lot because he tugged at my hand to hug a friend.
Frightened, I told the principal and she enforced ticketing rules and Paterson police patrolled the area. This is my only major concern.
Snacks are not provided in pre k and k and I feel they should, as a preschool teacher. It may be wasteful and expensive, but a small one for 15 mins around 10 am or 930 would be great. Kids should be encouraged to pack this or each parent bringing in a box of graham crackers, ritz etc and the school throwing in a few bananas here and there.
Anyhow, if you've read this far, I encourage you to give them a call!
