The office staff that did the billing texted a receipt to me, which upon review was incorrect. She overbilled me by almost $140. Anyone with an FSA knows that they won't even accept an incorrect amount. I tried four different times to get this corrected because all they needed to do was issue a refund for the portion that was incorrect or provide a revised receipt about why the original amount was correct. The office manager never returned my calls, they never responded to emails, and quite frankly I don't want to go in there after all this because they are so unprofessional. So disappointing after all these years of being loyal patients of this office.

The dental hygienist at RRMD diagnosed me with periodontal disease and said I would need "extra treatment" my insurance paid $160 and I paid $40 out-of-pocket for the "extra treatment" ** The hygienist at my new dentist said "It's a good thing you came in because your teeth really need to be cleaned" She did NOT diagnose me with periodontal disease. I never mentioned that my teeth had been cleaned at RRMD on April 7th. I guess the "extra treatment" wasn't effective. 2. Dr. Leeper refused to take off the bone graft replacement from my estimate. I was told by front desk staff that Dr. Leeper told her "it doesn't look like the same kind of bone graft that we use" and that they would have to wait until they "got in there" to see if it needed replaced. That's when I canceled my surgery. On the estimate they gave me, the bone graft replacement was $5,624.00!!! ** I asked my new dentist if bone grafts ever needed to be replaced. She said "Nope, the metal post can be drilled into any bone graft" 3. In my opinion, the front desk staff needs to be trained better on insurance and billing. My husband called RRMD regarding our refund because nobody from the office had reached out to us after several weeks. The front desk person told him that the refund was almost $200 less than our estimate from our EOB's. My husband had to physically go down to the office and go through our EOB's with the office manager. The office manager had to explain to the front desk person what she had missed. It was found in our favor and we were refunded the correct amount. I truly believe that if we hadn't been paying attention, we would not have received our full refund. 4. Lack of communication. Every email, message on my chart/smile generation and every phone message I left was unanswered. I was the one who had to reach out to them. Nobody ever communicated back. If you do choose to go to this office, my advice would be... If something doesn't seem right, get a second opinion. Know your insurance benefits. Get a detailed receipt and compare it to your EOB's.

The wait was minor and Doctor Trapnell was on it as usual. I'm happy to say they are in fact the best in ABQ. I won't even mess around when any of the rest of my kids who may need ortho... I'm saving time, money, and getting the job done right by picking ABQ ortho.

We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made. I see them on Monday for 1st step in fixing some of my issues. We highly recommend this Dental Care Family

I had been a patient of Dr Casey Allman for several years and was very happy with the service and…read moremy care. I developed a toothache 5/14/26 and called for an appointment. Got an appointment that morning, but when I got there it was a new dentist and some of the original staff. (Second visit ALL new staff). I have some dental anxiety anyway and was upset that I wasn't informed it would be someone else. I was told I needed a root canal (never had one in my 69 yrs of being on this earth) and that Dr Marshall could do it right then, I should have been suspicious but I was in pain so he did the procedure. I've been back three times for treatment for the pain that continues. X-rays and exams, grinding the crown down x2, antibiotics x2 and a muscle relaxant. He also prescribed a steroid dose pack after ibuprofen didn't help. That didn't help either. Something is still not right. Called on Monday for an appointment and was told nothing available this week. (He had previously said he would see me on an emergency basis if needed.) I then asked for my records to seek help elsewhere as I have no confidence in this office. Release form was texted to me; I signed and sent it back. When I went to pick up my records I was told I needed a subpoena. WHAT???? Told that was their policy. I finally got the X-rays emailed to me after another phone call. Did not get notes on treatment that was given.
