From A to Z a loving church. Does not take from the Bible or add to the Bible preaches God's word as God's word is intended to be preached even in issues we may not want to hear. The pastor will even preach to improve his own flock. You never feel unwelcome to whether it's Church or a Church event. Never are sermons always geared to make you feel like you have to give give give but the truth of tithing is never skipped over. Los Angeles and I was directed to this wonderful church. Since that day, my heart was touched by the generosity. I started volunteering in the nursery and other areas. I have been coming to this church since I was a kid. I really enjoy the sermons by the senior pastor (Chris Johnson). He is not afraid to cover the tough topics in the Bible and his sermons are easy to listen to. I did not enjoy the youth group when I went. There were too many silly games and cliques. I enjoyed their Awanas. I have always enjoyed going to the main service and being encouraged in my walk with God. read more

I have been attending Grace Chapel (in Lancaster California) for 9 years now. I absolutely LOVE the church. Not because of the building itself, but because the church teaches directly from God's Word. And the church and staff have taught me, with true love, and concern for me spiritually. The church staff clearly understands that the Word is sharper than any two edge sword; therefore, the church teaches directly from the Bible which allows the Holy Spirit to change a person's life.... Allowing a Christian to grow on the Lord's time frame, not theirs. I would describe the church as just being really REAL. There are No games, No smoke and mirrors. No get rich - Prosperity schemes. It's just real Christian folks, who enjoy loving other real people, and encouraging them to serve the Lord. The church has help start other Christian churches within the entire Antelope Valley area. They also give to missionaries throughout the world who are teaching the Gospel around the globe. So I would describe the church as being very giving and missions minded. This portion of my review is this part: Grace Chapel is 100%... completely empty... from any type of legalism or spiritual abuse. They do not have man made rules or lists that you have to sign like a contract that dictates what you can or can not do. They rather do it biblically and allow the Holy Spirit to change folks lives. I know, what a crazy idea. Right? I came from a church in the Antelope Valley... A very large church... A very beautifully built church.... That looked nice and pretty on the outside; however, they were extremely spiritually abusive to their members. Therefore, Grace Chapel has been my great spiritually healer for me. Just for the fact that they allowed me to refocus my spiritual life. They allowed me to place my trust in the Lord, not a man. Grace Chapel allowed me to heal and recover... And they did this with their sincere Christian love for me. Because of their love, I am able to serve the Lord how I should be serving the Lord. They have helped me keep focused on the Lord. Grace Chapel staff and the entire church family are also great, encouraging me to walk with the Lord on a daily basis and to trust in Him. I have never studied my Bible more, than since I have been attending here. I do not say this to brag; however, I only say this to explain what type of Christian church this is... I now read my Bible daily and I pray many times a day. I have had daily devotions each day. Alone time, with just me and my Savior. This has done wonders for me spiritually. I look forward each day to spending my alone time with the Lord. Now know this.... The Senior Pastor, Chris Johnson, is a FANTASTIC!!! It's amazing that we have someone of his caliber, teaching us in this windy, dusty desert community. Pastor Chris will not like this review of him because Pastor Chris is truly a humble man who always points people to Christ, when they point gratitudes towards him. He does not seek men's praises. He is living his life, to praise the Lord and to serve the Lord. He leads by being an example. Pastor Chris is a very gifted speaker and teacher, as well as being a very loving Pastor. He is a great example for a person who wants to live for Christ. He just doesn't talk the talk, but he clearly walks the walk. He is also a fun and entertaining teacher; however, he is able to keep all his messages spiritually challenging as well as encouraging. No yelling and screaming from him; however, he is straight forward and direct, preaching from God's Word. Pastor Chris also has an incredible Assistant Pastor, Pat Tanner. Pastor Pat is a licensed therapist and teaches an adult Sunday morning Bible class, called The Pathfinders, When I was sick and hospitalized, Pastor Pat was there by my hospital bed. When I was at a low point in my life and I needed counseling, Pat was there. When I was happy and excited about my walk in Christ, Pastor Pat was with me. And when I was down and crying like a baby, Pastor Pat was there for me. Pastor Pat also has an amazing wife and adult children. His wife Jill, who is the church office manager, they both teach a fantastic and informative Marriage Class each year, which my wife and I have attended. We enjoyed it because it was biblical structured ideas which were helpful with raising children in today's world. I would recommend you, even if you don't attend the church, to sign up for one of their classes. I believe the church website has all the information there, as well as the church main service times and also classes as well. The other Pastors within the church are just as good. This is a wonderful church with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet attending here. Of all the churches I have attended they have probably the nicest people at the services. My only complaint with this church is that it's really outgrown its current location. It's really difficult to find a seat in the assembly area for services because it's so crowded now. They really have a need for a larger church but I don't know if they financially are financially able to build but it's very apparent that they outgrew their current location. I've actually attempted to attend services and went to a different location because there was no place to sit. read more

I cant say enough - other than this church has changed my family's life. My wife started coming here 2 years ago with friends, and loved it so much, she began forcing me to go. Keep in mind - my wife and I had been together over a decade, and not once spoke about religion or God. I didnt understand why I had to go, or why she wanted to. I didnt think it was worth our time. Boy, was I wrong. My family is for the better. Anybody who thinks that religion is wrong, or going to corporate church (meaning with a large group, as opposed to at home by yourself) is bad for society, you dont know what youre missing. I get it, it all sounds like bullsh*t, until you actually pay attention to the Word. It'll change you. Make you want to be a better person. You are treated like family here, and Pastor Chris genuinly cares about everyone. He's so nice, it's hard to believe it's real; but it is. I look up to him, and I can't say that about too many people today. The church also offers many Wednesday night/Sat night/Sub morning classes. read more

This is a church that truly has a heart for others, within the church AND the community! The lead pastor Chris Johnson is an amazing teacher of the word who makes the sermon lighthearted, entertaining, yet deeply spiritual and easy to understand. There are many activities to get to know others and be in a small group if you desire, and kid activities as well! Love what God is doing here and in my life as we'll! Great church, good people. Pastor Duane Clark is exceptional and is inspirational and doesn't stand on pretenses or title. You can talk to him and confide one's issues and problems. For me personally, he has become the face of Grace Chapel and I am fortunate and blessed to have met him and call him a friend.
