    Arborx Tree Services

If you value your majestic oak trees, DO NOT hire Arborx Tree Services to trim your tree. Tom, the…read morecompany's certified arborist, looked at our two oaks, assured us that the street canopy would be retained, that only a minimum amount of cutting would be done, and that the crew would probably spend about three hours on the bigger of the two oaks. What actually happened was the total opposite. The crew was supposed to arrive "around 1:00 PM", but did not arrive until after 2:30 PM, with no phone call to us explaining they would be late. My husband has a seriously compromised immune system and was wearing a face mask. When the crew approached him, they conveyed a cavalier attitude, even after he informed them of his health status. (We do not expect workers to wear face masks while performing their duties; however, we would expect a mask to be worn when in close proximity to the customer, and this was never done.) The young man wielding the chainsaw massacred our trees despite my husband's repeated verbal protests and gestures, gleefully lopping off whole limbs, and all the while saying we should trust him and declaring we were going to love what he was doing. He ignored my husband's attempts to wave him off, and did what he wanted to do, rather than what we, the customers, wanted him to do. The other member of the crew smirked throughout the process. It was an uncontrollable cut; the crew could not be stopped. The damage to our trees is irreversible and irreparable. Tom told me he had reviewed the job with the cutter; if so, there is a clear communications disconnect within the company culture. The Arborx advertisement proclaims, "It takes decades for an Oak to grow big, beautiful and majestic. It can take 15 minutes or less for the wrong tree company to destroy it." They call themselves "Oak Specialists". After an hour and a half, my two formerly majestic oak trees were butchered. It is apparent I called the wrong company.

We used Arborx to trim oak, various palm and some other trees & shrubs. The arborist who provided…read morethe initial bid was friendly, informative and very helpful. The arborist overseeing the actual work and his crew were polite, efficient and very good at what they did. Their pricing was fair and actually a small bit below other bids - but, we would have gone with them even if a bit higher.

I'm never really thrilled to have to spend 1000s of dollars on home maintenance, especially when…read morethe services provided leave a LOT to be desired. People show up to give an estimate and never provide a quote; or worse, provide a quote and then try to increase the price after-the-fact. But THIS job went better than expected on just about every level. So a huge shout-out and thank you to Lamb Tree Care Service, because I cannot say enough good things about this company. They were a very late addition to the list of tree companies I contacted to get an estimate to have 11 large oaks trimmed; and two others completely removed. The owner, Paul Lamb showed up and we walked the property; he provided a verbal quote right off the top of his head, and I told him that it was a great quote but I'd need it in writing - - he said that one would be coming no later than the following day, and when I checked my e-mail barely an hour later, and I had a VERY detailed, itemized statement, complete with notes about certain parts of the project. It was not only the care they took to be professional about the quoting process, it didn't hurt that the price was significantly better than the others I'd received. Also, a couple of companies told me that the job would take at least three and possibly four days. Lamb said it would be done in a day and a half at most. I called the company to approve the job, and heard from the office shortly thereafter to set up the work date. James, the crew foreman, arrived Wednesday morning right on time, and we walked the property to be sure that nothing was lost in translation. Not long thereafter, his crew of two showed up with the big equipment, and for the next 7 hours or so, they tackled this huge job without any hiccups whatsoever. They even blew the leaves off of our roof. It didn't take four days or three or even a day and a half. They were done in a single day. So now we no longer have an enormous oak, dangerously leaning over our driveway (it was pushed to a very concerning angle during Hurricanes Ian and Idalia), and the large branches that loomed over our pool cage, fence, and even the next-door neighbor's house have been removed. If you have any tree trimming work that needs to be done, contact these guys at 941-377-3333; they're fantastic.
