For appetizers, we got the raw oysters which were a 10/10, the clams oreganata, and the fried calamari. Not to mention we all got a cup of their outstanding lobster bisque to add to the gluttony. Everything we had was phenomenal. As an entrée, I had the house special panko breaded flounder with pesto laid on top of buttered up mashed potatoes with mussels placed beautifully around the dish 10/10 I would eat this once a week if I could. Desserts were pretty basic so we decided to skip Can easily recommend this spot to anyone who likes seafood. Service was a little slow but our waitress was extremely nice, the place is pretty small but nice with a comfortable vibe.

Service was somewhat slow although our server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the stuffed lobster and fish & chips. The food was a bit too salty for our liking. The fish for the fish and chips was soaked in oil and soggy. The whole thing fell apart as soon as I touched it. I was craving the traditional, crispy golden crust so this was a massive disappointment.

They often have food items that you may not find in a chain or standard northeastern grocery store. I recently came here to buy sorrel (dried hibiscus flowers/roselle) that is utilized for create a special holiday drink in Caribbean culture. Lucky for me they had some! When I'm looking for ingredients for Jamaican or Haitian dishes, I'll consider them and often times they have what I need. Additionally, I think this is a good local spot if you are looking for food items for Hispanic dishes. They know who their target audience. I will say some items were expensive so it's good to compare to other local businesses to get the best bang for your buck. The employees here are often helpful and get you in and out of the store fast at checkout. I definitely recommend.

I have been hearing from others how amazing this supermarket is. As a first time customer I was able to get free case of water. Yippie.. The parking lot is a bit small but hey I guess you have to go there at a certain time. This place was pretty crowded. Shocking to see even though I went at 1pm on a weekday. Anyway there is a shopping cart monitor standing outside. The gentleman was very courteous. There were bins of fruit located outside before you walk through the doors. This store was stocked up, very clean, items were in order. Fruits and veggies are fresh. Seafood department was so clean. I was impressed. Fish was fresh as well. Prices were pretty reasonable. I'm glad I stopped at this supermarket. I will definitely be going back again. Happy Yelping..

My daughter came home from college with exactly one craving: a full-on seafood boil. No hesitation…read moreshe had her sights set on Voodoo Crab and their $17 lunch special, and honestly... she knew what she was doing. We got there right at noon and quickly realized we weren't the only ones in on the secret. Within minutes, the place filled up with hungry diners ready to dig in. We both went for the lunch special (because how could you not?). I ordered the shrimp & mussels, and my daughter went with crab & shrimp. Everything arrived in that classic messy-in-the-best-way seafood boil bag, drenched in that rich, buttery, seasoned sauce that you just have to mop up. The deal also comes with an appetizer and a drink, which makes it feel like an absolute steal. The shrimp were a little stubborn to peel but let's be real, that's part of the seafood boil experience. Nothing was slowing us down. The vibe was lively, energetic, and a little chaotic in that fun, "everyone's here to eat" kind of way. Service was solid and kept things moving even as the place packed out. If you're craving seafood without breaking the bank, this lunch special is 100% worth the trip. My daughter left happy and that alone makes it a win.

I have frequently dined at VC at their Centereach location. I have never had an issue-until…read moreyesterday when I went to the Massapequa location. Huge Mistake. For starters, the hostess had a RBF and zero personality. The roll of napkins on the table had food fingerprints from diners past. My son promptly switched the roll with another table. That should have been my warning. We order our drinks and appetizers and requested 2 glasses of water when we placed our drink order. Drinks come-no water. We request the water again and this time one glass comes out. There were two of us. Ok. Not really impressed with the level of attention from our server/s. Appetizers come out, which were fine, and then the meal arrives. I ordered the lunch special Cajun boil. I eat a few shrimp which were delicious, and I crack into the crab leg and the meat is gray. Mushy. Clearly spoiled. I immediately return the dish and when the manager comes to speak to me, he leads with "we changed vendors 3 days ago, and I would offer you another boil but since you didn't like it, I'm afraid the other crab might be the same". Because I didn't like it?! It was clearly spoiled and someone in your kitchen isn't doing their job. After a few more words, finally the apology come out (which is what he should have led with) and a 50 dollar gift card to another VC. He should have comped the entire meal!! The way this manager handled this situation was extremely poor and left a very sour taste in my mouth. This should have ended here. Alas, it did not. Because I ate the shrimp in the voodoo sauce from the boil, (which was contaminated) I got violently sick that evening. Vomiting, stomach cramps and was on the toilet seat on an off for 6 hours. Violently ill. I was unable to sleep because of the unbelievable discomfort. I ended up needing an IV of 2 1,000 ml bags of sodium chloride, Zofran for nausea and medication to stop the stomach cramping. Never ever again. They lost me as a customer.

DineWise is a meal preparation service that has been providing both gourmet and nutritional meals…read moreto customers for over 45 years. They have a longstanding reputation of quality prepared meals and certainly have no lack of meal options, providing an array of choices to mix and match, or choose a standard type of meal. This company may have the largest prepared meal menu in the country, including easy-to-shop categories such as beef, poultry, Italian, seafood, and breakfast. They also have a full holiday menu. I highly recommend you subscribe to their newsletter, like I do, because they offer some amazing special offers for registered members. I purchased a gourmet meal package of nine meals for $159.99. With my email discount, I saved $48, making the cost of the package $111.99, and $12.44 per meal. I felt like a happy customer before I tasted anything. My first meal was the Blackened Catfish with Roasted Red Potatoes and Seasoned Carrots. I just love your American catfish; it is truly a treat to experience, and it doesn't have to be fried to taste delicious. The blackened seasoning is nothing short of the perfect match to this white meat fish. The Roasted Red Potatoes will always be a little better if you toss them on a skillet for a few seconds, but they are still very good. I would have preferred a green vegetable instead of carrots, but they were good, and still had a crunchy texture. I should have bought a case of these amazing prepared meals for $12.44. Next I had the Beef Sirloin Steak with Morel Sauce, a Risotto Rice Cake, and the Corn and Red Pepper Asparagus. This meal normally sells for $21, so it was a great value at $12.44. This is a real piece of steal cooked to a perfect medium rare, which allows you some room to reheat it without drying it out. It may be a sirloin, but it cuts and eats like a filet mignon. The Morel Mushroom Sauce is a perfect complement too. The Risotto Rice Cake is not creamy like a typical Risotto, but the flavors are there, and it makes a wonderful side. The Asparagus is infused with a very flavorful sherry vinaigrette. My taste buds went around the plate, bite after bite, saying, "Wow this is good." The flavor profiles of the meal components are outstanding. Well done Chef! In my opinion, the goal of cooking American comfort food is consistency, and not to re-invent the wheel. This Beef Stuffed Pepper falls right into that category. If your Mum made them for you, chances are you will appreciate the homemade culinary skill that went into the preparation of this meal. The meat is delicious, and the rice is perfectly proportioned to the size of the entree. The pepper isn't mushy, and retains a crunchy texture that makes this meal a winner in my book. The rice side dish might be the most flavorful rice dish on their menu, and I'm pretty sure it only appears in this dish. The string beans with little wedges of almonds make for a nice texture. This is a great value at $12.44. I received two of these meals in my package.

Last night I didn'feel like cooking so I made the Brioche crusted chicken breast…read moredinner.....delicious, even my picky husband likrd it. The chicken breast breading tasted terrific with just the right amount of seasonings and the chicken was nice and tender. The green beans were slightly sift but the flavoring was very good. Finally the Spainish rice was quite tasty and nicely done, not mushy. I don't expect perfection with premade mail order meals but this one was very good. I admit there were some Home Bistro meals that were just okay and even one meal that I threw out. It just depends on the meal, how it's cooked, and your tastes. Overall I was quite impressed with this meal.
