Great spot for live music and drinks on the rooftop patio! The pina jalapeño was absolutely delicious and one of the best drinks I've had in Oaxaca. Service was okay, a bit slow but I think that's on par with the pace here. There were many people ordering the sirloin burger and it looked really good. I would come back for it!

All we did was walk up two flights of stairs and have a nice view of city lights, and drank rum and coke, mezcal and a suero style Cerveza and I picked Victoria It was last night in Mexico after an 8 day trip Today we went to Hierve el Agua for great hiking, pools, and petrified waterfall. We went swimming in the natural pools Then had cerveza, coconut milk, and papaya up at the stands We then toured Mitla an ancient site, then drove to a restiarant where we had mole and tlayuda (crispy tortilla topped with beans avocado cheese and tomato) Then on to del tule to see the El Arbor del tule tree

Excellent!!! "Sandwich de la Casa"

Gozobi serves one of the best sandwiches--EVER. Their "Sandwich de la Casa" served with super crispy French fries is a must have at Gozobi. Sure, their Oaxacan dishes are good, but for something that's both familiar and different, this sandwich is a must! Served between two slices of rustic, whole grain toast is an abundance of roasted, shredded chicken and a slice of savory roasted pork. Fresh accompaniments of avocado, tomato and lettuce round off this delicious meal. The terrace is open with wonderful views and service is always excellent.

Though we had food (which was tasty- the molotes) - the cocktails are the real star here…read more They gave us a free shot of Mezcal- very smooth. However, this was our third Mezcal of the day. Time for some cocktails. The boo got a gin one (gin was made with 100% agave) and I got a passion fruit with Mezcal. They were both stunners. Great service and ambience too.

If it is lunch or dinner time in Oaxaca centro as you read this, proceed immediately to this place!…read moreUpscale Oaxacan food in a modern but friendly environment with prices that are moderate. So many highlights.... 1. Their own brand of mescal and outstanding mixed cocktails using fresh fruit and flowers. You can choose to blend mescal with a floral based drink or tamarind juice and puree, all for about US$3 per martini glass full! Not an alcohol drinker? Ask for one of the juices with mineral water con gas. 2. The service. Every person was kind and attentive. We sat at the bar, and the bartender took great care of us. He answered all questions and could converse slightly in English. He taught us about mescal vs tequila and that the restaurant is named for a type of agave used to make mescal. 3. The food, the food, the food. Favs: The best shrimp tacos of my life. Tortilla and shrimp are both cooked with garlic oil, and shrimp melt in your mouth. Be sure to ask for spicy tomato salsa and pico on the side. Also enjoyed a hearty mexican style chicken soup with veggies, garbanzo beans, and lime. And for dessert...baked pear, cinnamon fried tortilla, and fruit sorbet all on one plate! Were there some lowlights? Sure. Sorbet was grainy. The chicken soup was not the best. But certainly no reason to take away a star!
