But the item to order to get a healthy sampling of their menu was the Comal Mayordomo, which came with some of everything: tasajo (grilled beef), cecina (marinated grilled pork), chorizo (spicy pork sausage), costilla frita (fried pork ribs), guacamole with chapulines, quesillo, queso fresco, blue corn quesadillas and memelitas, tamal oaxaqueño (masa filled with chicken in black mole), chile relleno (pepper stuffed with beef stew), and tacos dorados (rolled fried tortillas topped with mole). Everything was delicious in its own way, but the highlight was the freshly-made blue corn tortillas, which paired perfectly with all the different components. It was a very satisfying meal and I recommend it if you are looking for a place in town to have a good steak. As for the service, the reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is because I asked for my check and it took forever for them to bring it to me. It took so long that another waitress came by and asked me if they had already brought me my check and I said no. I really didn't like that. The prices were good, but the quality of potatoes and ketchup was a bit off. The ketchup, for example, tasted like dish soap. If it happened to be house made ketchup, I would understand, but I don't think I would go back to Lavoe again. Nor would I recommend it to future visitors.

This is one of my favourite small coffee shops. The employees, and owners I think, are super super…read morefriendly and polite! It is a small coffee shop with three tables with each three chairs. I love the design; all vintage wood, the bar is really nice and all the local products, even the coffee mugs, spoons and napkin holders, are awesome, I also really like the birdcage lamps. The coffee is really good and is from a local coffee plantation. My favourite drink here is the water mango smoothie, so delicious on a warm day. There are loads of different desserts and they also offer salads, sandwiches and baguettes. My favourite dessert or just a nice snack with my coffee or smoothie are the oats cookies, the Nutella muffins are also delicious. (Actually everything is delicious because they are all freshly made with fresh ingredients, the cheese cakes, croissants and other sweet bread.)
