The personal injury case seemed to drag on forever with the only progress made only after we called to prod him along. But it eventually resolved and the settlement was acceptable. The DUI case also resolved but incompletely. The charge was dismissed without prejudice meaning they could be refiled at any future point. It was very important to us and promised by Mr. Larsen that he would continue to insist on the (negative) results of the blood draw and file a motion to dismiss with prejudice in anticipation of a civil case. Unfortunately, once the personal injury case resolved we have been unable to get any resolution on this matter. Multiple calls have went unreturned, etc. There are possibly other, more responsive, lawyers out there that you can choose to represent you.

Watch out of this Law Firm. They charge you $5,000 up front and your charges can quickly raise past…read morethat amount. The moment they go past the 5K retainer you better get back to a positive balance or they will cut you and drop your case all because you didn't make your agreed (signed) statement. They will petition the court to drop your case and charge you for that petition. They charge you minimum of $300 an hour for the lawyer and almost $200 an hour for the para-legal. So quick math... if they do 40 hours (one week) on your case that's $12,000 for the Lawyer and $8,000 for the para-legal. They also claim to be the law firm of the people but I don't know anyone that can afford that much money for a case. Cases can also take month to years. In my case even though they did not work every second on my case in three months my bill was well over $10,000 that I owed them plus the original $5,000 that I paid for the retainer. Just be prepared to open an artery or sell you first born child to Ramirez-Smith Law in Nampa if you decide to use them. I hope you find someone better to represent you other than this Law Firm.

I hired Chaney and my husband told him, "The Will is to remain the same as it is." Chaney did not tell us he had only been a lawyer for a few months. When my husband died from Covid, a family member came after that part of our estate and the court's found in their favor because Chaney had used the wrong language in the documents. I filed a complaint with the bar association and Chaney lied repeatedly. The lawyer I had for the estate claim was with me for the complaint and the Bar Association did not even recognize him. He was a good and honest man, unlike Chaney. I have met others who share my opinion about Chaney - he is despicable, pathological liar in my opinion.
