Instead, we experienced chaos, hostility, and treatment that felt discriminatory. There was no staff at check-in -- after 10+ calls, we were told the key was left outside. The "continental breakfast" was stale cereal and hard-boiled eggs. The room had bugs, and the flooring was poorly installed and taped together with electrical tape. On the second day of our stay, the owner entered one of our rooms unannounced using her own key and attempted to change the lock to lock out one of our family members, claiming the room wasn't paid for. We had booked and paid in full for four rooms over six months earlier. Only after showing her the receipt did she realize it was her mistake. No apology was offered. I am a disabled veteran with medical dietary restrictions and travel with a rice cooker. When a fire alarm went off due to the microwave provided in the room, the owners barged in and demanded money. Later, they returned accusing us of clogging a public bathroom toilet with rice -- an accusation that felt based solely on the fact that we are Asian. The photo they showed was actually pasta. Again, no apology. As a veteran who served this country, I never expected to be stereotyped, falsely accused, and repeatedly entered without notice during a family vacation. We left feeling humiliated, targeted, and completely disrespected.

Ac works great, WiFi is way better than alot of other places up here Staff is so amazing , present and accommodating . Like family! Owner is always available too and has always promptly messages me back too and you can't ask for more than that. Location is perfect. Close enough to enjoy the village if you want . Close to Bolton - where I find myself hanging out more and more . And right on the lake . We rent a boat slip for easy access & it's well lit at night too . Grounds are beautiful with well maintained flowers . We Won't stay anywhere else - every year they are improving something and I love that level of continued growth and care!

The young ones spend 3 days running from the brand new pool into the crystal clear lake. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious and the staff were awesome. They have tons of activities to keep the kids busy for 3 days kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, rafts, pool table ping pong. The kids fished and swam while the adults soaked up the sun on the beach all just steps from our room. They have 3 gas grills so we BBQ'd a lot as none of the adults felt like going out. At night they have a few really cool fire pits that they start for you and there are tons of wood steps away. The views are incredible. We stayed last year also and had a great time just never got around to a review.

The lake area is in a shallow cove and my kids were literally able to run out for a few minutes and still be up to their knees. There are plenty of kayaks and paddle boats to take out, and a small sandy beach area for the kids to play. There's also a pool on the property, but the lake area was great so we never even went. Rooms are a little older, but they are clean and spacious. The property is pretty small, so everything is an easy walk. There's also plenty of parking onsite. The location is also prime in Bolton and it's just a two minute drive up to all the shops and restaurants. The owners were super sweet and friendly and helped us out a few times when we were locked out of our room. Overall, this is a really nice family run hotel in Bolton and the location on the lake can't be beat. There are definitely cosmetic upgrades that could be made, but like many other hotels in the area it's a little old school. Looking forward to coming back - we had a great time here.

I am visiting from California supporting a family member with cancer and was so excited to stay with my loved ones. Unfortunately, cancer doesn't have a timeline and I had to cancel 5 days before arrival. Can you believe that the resort wouldn't refund my 1-night "deposit" on a one-time basis due to a medical emergency. Not only that, but they CAN'T CANCEL THE RESERVATION because I did it through American Express Platinum travel. They can only waive the fee (which they refuse to do). My large family stays there often, but they won't anymore. Heartless and shameful.
