It starts out promising, with an airline-themed line and then an "elevator" to hell, and a lobby that looks really cool. Immediately after that, it gets kinda mundane. Just kinda shuffling through, but is definitely better than nothing. There was no need for the VIP fast pass thing when we went, because there was no line anyway. We paid $160 for 3 people, and drove 3 hours. Probably wouldn't have done that. If it was like 30 mins away, I'd probably have done it happily, if we didn't buy the VIP passes and stuff it would have been like $75.

But it has been back open for a few months now and is currently having the Christmas Jubilee shows that combine music and comedy. I've only been to the Christmas shows but I was informed that there are four different shows each year. A Country show; an Easter Show and a Summer show. Besides the shows The Rudy puts on they do have performers come and have there shows at the venue from Elvis music to Bluegrass to Beach music. The theatre has about 500 seats. I've sat in the middle of the floor level before; the front row and this time I decided to try out the balcony. They do the sound and lights up in the balcony so you can see that too. The balcony does requires walking up stairs. I found the seats in all the sections to have good views. Parking is street parking but there was plenty available on the surrounding streets. The lobby has a concessions area and the prices are reasonable. The staff is really friendly and helpful too.

Lavender picking was the most pleasant experience - our group got there around 6 pm and we had the whole farm to ourselves. The bumblebees are buzzing around which I just loved personally (adds life to the landscape!) but definitely harmless- they just move away when you snip the lavender. The bushes are full of lavender stems even though it might be the end of the season. We also got a sample of the lavender lemonade with the purchase of the u-pick bundle which had the most gorgeous color and tasted delicious. I also picked up a eucalyptus bundle to hang in the shower, and my friends picked up bear paw succulents which were super cute. All in all, lovely place to visit during a raven rock day trip. You can support Tammy's business in the triangle too - they often come to Phillips farm in Cary to sell their flower products and bundles!

The property is beautiful. They have many long rows of lavender on one side of the property and many flowers on the other although those cannot be cut by guests. The lavender cuttings are cheap compared to other lavender farms. We arrived early as specified for the tour but then the tour didn't start on time as they waited for more people to get there. The tour group was too large to hear very well so smaller groups would have worked better as would staggering the lavender cuttings. If you are in Lillington on a day the farm is open, it is worth a stop.

I was the only one there. I've since learned the public is welcome 7 days a week during daylight hours. The Arboretum is on the smaller side with some trees, greenhouses and rows of plants. Their goal is to preserve native species so they are doing good work. I'm sure the arboretum will grow in time and have more and better labels for what is there. There is a lot of shade here from the trees so it was nice on the hot day. I think there are some walking trails there too. While I wouldn't make a special visit to come here, it is a nice place to explore nature if in the area. It is about 5 minutes from the outlet mall.
