It started with a cut to the tongue from a sharp edged implant. Dr. Heiner quickly reassured us it wasn't cancer but gave the option of a painful expensive biopsy. Instead he said it is most likely one of your many medications. Check them out for this side effect (oral lesions). Sure enough it was PROTONIX aka Pantaprazole. Two dats after stopping it my sore mouth and swallowing was greatly improved and the deep large ulcer started healing. Very smart and thorough Doctor. Wish he took my medical insurance. He is an MD. Ended up needing two crowns. I expected to get a temporary crown and have to return in two weeks for a permanent crown - Not with Dr Sherman - the office has lab machinery in house that creates a custom crown in about 30 minutes. End result was two perfectly fitted crowns - from this single appointment. Pain gone! Truly modern dentistry, bravo! Dr Sherman and his staff (thanks Tim) where very caring and gentle.
