If I could give less than one star, I would. I don't usually write negative reviews, but I think others should know about my experience.
I hired Gordon and Sons to mow every two weeks. At first they rescheduled several times because of weather, and I was understanding about that. After that, though, they kept not showing up without texting me. I had to reach out myself to find out if they were planning to come at all.
They showed up only once, to clean up leaves and mow. They raked the leaves but left one pile in the yard instead of hauling it away. They also mowed only about three-quarters of the yard. I texted Brandon about this and after he spoke with his workers, he said it was because they "couldn't figure out how to get into" the fully fenced-in section. My response was "open the fence"... pretty self-explanatory. They said they'd come back to finish and never did. After that they kept pushing the service out with excuses, but only when I reached out asking where they were because I had noticed on my cameras they hadn't shown up.
I asked for a refund. Brandon told me he had submitted it and walked me through the refund process, but it was never actually submitted. I followed up by email multiple times and texted him three times. None of the texts were ever read, so it looks like he blocked my number right after telling me the refund was on its way, which was shady in and of itself.
In the "From the Business" section on Yelp they say "We take pride in or hard work and seeing the finished product at the end of the services." is laughable considering they don't complete their services, nor do they show up, do what they say they are going to do or communicate clearly. They also call themselves "a small family owned growing company" - but with service like this, I don't see how they will grow. read more
