Small businesses are the best. Why? Two words: #1 Customer and #2 Service. They treat you…read morelike a real person, not just a number in this giant can of sardines we call Earth. Burghardt & Associates is one of these small businesses. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/burghardt-and-associates-ea-anaheim?userid=Jcbj338NjXtSiqvK3LYghQ#oqj-M8vaLkaA249Rd2fR9w Dave and his staff have been doing accounting, book keeping and tax returns for busineses both large and small in addition to individuals like myself for at least 13 years. I've been going to him the past 12 years. When I first went to him, he found other deductions my previous tax guy missed and got me more $$ back (legally of course)! More money back is always good, right? Of course! Aside from that, you remember those two words? Customer service? He is NOT like so many of the others... "Hey how are the wife & kids?" "Oh, Timmy broke his arm and my wife is leaving me..." "Oh that sucks, thanks for coming by..." You know the type, right? Dave is not like that at all, he's very personable and (it seems like) no matter how busy he is, will take the time to talk to you. It doesn't matter if it's about family, real-estate, sports, your last vacation, cars, etc.... he WILL take the time to talk to you and he's sincere about it. So if you are shopping for an accountant or someone to do your taxes, Dave Burghardt is the man!

It is funny to read those one star reviews, stating that Sam is not even a CPA. He doesn't need to…read morebe a CPA - he is the IRS Enrolled Agent (the status can be verified on the IRS website); per IRS definition: "Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), have unlimited practice rights. This means they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. Learn more about enrolled agents in Treasury Department Circular 230" The difference is that CPAs run businesses and record/account transactions while IRS Enrolled Agents prepare your final tax report at the top notch level and represent you or your business before IRS. I've been with Sam during over 23 years, never had any problem. He is always knowledgeable, honest, and helpful, the same as the entre Datatax office team. If he doesn't know something in details, he will come back to you in one or two days with the perfect answer. This says about his highly professional approach. Nobody knows everything right away, the ability to make a research finding proper solutions in most complex cases is what makes a difference. Datatax is not the cheapest one around, but you know what you pay for. I highly recommend Sam and Datatax for their exceptional services.
