If you're on the Lower North Shore you can save big bucks. I'm talking a $100 difference on the tyre I needed ($220 fitted with Payless vs $270 for tyre plus labour of $50 with another well known mobile business). Alas the tyre I needed wasn't in stock but they ordered it in and was fitted within 24 hours (the jobs itself took 10 minutes). The workshop is gorgeously filthy. The guys working there straight talking 'getting on with the job' types. Even better there' not a Pirelli calendar in sight. In fact (hilariously) the tyre company has replaced the human birds with the Avian variety. This month's was a rather charming Kookaburra. I was so charmed by the bird that I didn't even mind when they kindly offered to reverse my car of the garage. My inner-Feminist just growled quietly and smiled. I've only taken my car here for my last two rego vehicle inspections, but with this experience alone I've noted the service is quick and efficient - inspections are carried out in 15-20mins while you wait. The waiting area/office has some magazines to read, a small couch and foxtel (although not working on this occasion - no signal). Workshop is clean and appears well maintained. Staff are friendly enough. Credit card facilities are available too.

As lazy people are wont to do, I drove it until it got too bad for me to ignore, then called around for a few quotes. He did mention that my brake pads were 80% worn and I could get these replaced for another $76 or so, and initially I said yes but then checked my last service receipt (from another shop) and I'd had my brakes inspected a couple months back, I wasn't sure I really needed these done so I declined. I initially went here for tyres and found out the do other stuff too so I thought I'd give them a try. Sujit and his team are excellent. They have great knowledge and my car hasn't had any issues since I started taking it here for regular servicing. If you need something done to your car, they'll tell you. If you don't then they won't make something up just to get more money out of you. They actually value customers and treat them with respect and courtesy. As an example, I picked up my car from its service just before writing this review and I expected it to need new brakes. Sujit told me my current brakes still have 60% of the pads remaining and a lot of life left in them. Other mechanics around would tell you that you need new ones. Mechanics are like dentists - if you find a good one, keep them! They're invaluable and will save you money in the long run. I recommend these guys for all your car's mechanical needs.

I left my car in and the guys had my problem fixed (faulty bearings) and a bunch of new tyres on and I was good to go same day. Unfortunately a possibly related problem with a sound when steering developed a few months ago, which I finally ended up taking the car in to have looked at (it needed a service anyway). I booked it in for a service and mentioned the sound which had come back. The guys completed the service, but also took the initiative to solve the problem by replacing the bearings again without any cost (it wasn't exactly cheap the first time - Suzuki parts...) and the sound is gone again. Great customer service and initiative from the technicians to fix problems keep a customer happy. They can do tyres, wheels, suspension, and light grade mechanical repair/servicing here. Friendly customer service, clear advice, and you don't leave thinking you've been taken to the cleaners. They've earned my trust in the few times I've visited. Recommended!
