If you're really unlucky they know you need…read more'em and that you cannot afford the time shopping around but lucky for you I did all the tiresome work for you. If you're on the Lower North Shore you can save big bucks. I'm talking a $100 difference on the tyre I needed ($220 fitted with Payless vs $270 for tyre plus labour of $50 with another well known mobile business). Alas the tyre I needed wasn't in stock but they ordered it in and was fitted within 24 hours (the jobs itself took 10 minutes). The workshop is gorgeously filthy. The guys working there straight talking 'getting on with the job' types. Even better there' not a Pirelli calendar in sight. In fact (hilariously) the tyre company has replaced the human birds with the Avian variety. This month's was a rather charming Kookaburra. I was so charmed by the bird that I didn't even mind when they kindly offered to reverse my car of the garage. My inner-Feminist just growled quietly and smiled. Located just off Warringah Road next to the Carwash about 4 minutes north of Chatswood. Job's a good 'un.

It didn't matter that I know next to nothing about cars, they sorted it all out for me without making me feel like a total idiot. The service was quick, efficient and professional. I notice that as well as tyre replacement, they also do vehicle servicing and a number of other technical things. Next time my car is in dire straits (hopefully not for a long time), I will definitely be heading to Jax.

Called, and they were packing up to close for the weekend, however they had the tyre I was told I needed. Said if I get to them within 10 minutes (I was only around the corner) they would do it before they shut. Got there only for them to find out I had been wrongly advised of the tyre type and they didn't have that in. So they got on the phone (to my usual place) - found a tyre, went and picked it up while others from their terrific team prepped the car for the arrival of the tyre. All done and dusted in 15 minutes as they all helped out. Paul and the team could not have been more helpful or more kind, when I am sure all they really wanted to do was finish up and start a well deserved 3 days off! Thank you :-)

We were shopping around to get the best price and we found they have a workshop around the back where they do mechanical repairs. I don't think they advertise because it's all word of mouth or people like us who see first hand. They would inundated if they advertised and it wouldn't leave them time for selling tyres and rims, which they also do. All the best brands of tyres and rims. They do not belong to any group, they are completely independent of anybody else. My son and I both had our cars serviced there on a regular basis and we were always happy.

Fantastic service and people…read more I had my car serviced here about a year ago following a sound which had developed in the front. I left my car in and the guys had my problem fixed (faulty bearings) and a bunch of new tyres on and I was good to go same day. Unfortunately a possibly related problem with a sound when steering developed a few months ago, which I finally ended up taking the car in to have looked at (it needed a service anyway). I booked it in for a service and mentioned the sound which had come back. The guys completed the service, but also took the initiative to solve the problem by replacing the bearings again without any cost (it wasn't exactly cheap the first time - Suzuki parts...) and the sound is gone again. Great customer service and initiative from the technicians to fix problems keep a customer happy. They can do tyres, wheels, suspension, and light grade mechanical repair/servicing here. Friendly customer service, clear advice, and you don't leave thinking you've been taken to the cleaners. They've earned my trust in the few times I've visited. Recommended!

They're usually dodgy sloppy shockers, but Jax Artarmon was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being busy, they fixed my tyre quickly (less than 30mins) for a reasonable price. They're also friendly and have a pleasant waiting area. Oh, and they actually fixed the problem first time around! Even if I have a tyre problem in Parramatta, I'll be going to Artarmon to get it fixed.

My initial experience was to service and repair a tire that was deflated after an altercation with…read morea pot hole in Sydney's east. I brought the tire in and explained that I would prefer them to repair it than to buy a new tire. As they couldn't check the tire on a Sunday (don't know why not), they would call me back the following Tuesday. The following Thursday I was called and someone explained that they couldn't repair the tire, it had to be replaced. Unfortunately, I didn't say yes immediately, and said I would come in to discuss, and pick a tire for replacement. The following Sunday I came in and chose a Tire. I paid for it, and they said that they couldn't swap out my wheel until the following week. After a week with no contact, I called to see what was happening, and was told that the job was complete, and I came very early before work on a Tuesday, to pick up the tire. The serviceman there couldn't locate my tire, and told me that I had already picked it up (he tried to convince me I had picked it up already - like seriously, why would I be there if I had?) They said they lost it, and would have to check the whole place to locate it. I said it was unacceptable, and the manager said he would find it, and personally deliver it to my address. The following Thursday they located it, and called me promising to deliver it, so I told him my work address, and was waiting for him with my car outside, until I got a call that he couldn't deliver it that night. Unacceptable again. Finally I got so fed up, I went to pick it up very early another morning, and they tried to charge me for the tire again - I had to show them the receipt to confirm I had already paid for it. Unacceptable. This process took 3 weeks. It was stressful, and a horrible experience, never again will I go, or recommend anyone goes here. They're a bunch of clowns in a circus. We laugh.
