Was on my way to the Hospital this morning and almost to the freeway when I realized that my front right tire was going flat.....real fast. Pulled over and couldn't see the problem. I pulled off the tire and noticed a hole almost on the side wall. The only place open was Goodyear in Waianae. Went in and spoke with April Arzadon, The Store Manager. She looked at the tire and let me know that due to the area that the hole was at, there was no way to repair it. She recommended a tire and I waited for the Technician to replace the tire. The wait wasn't long at all. Before I knew it, April let me know that the tire was ready. I really Appreciate Goodyear and the quick service they provided. These guys are useless! Nani told me they could do a tire rotation and balancing I drive all the way down there and Richard says oh no no we can't do it. We can't do it. You've been warned!!! WORST customer service EVER! One of my tires I purchased here back in December blew while I was headed to work, and luckily it was covered by warranty. Since it was purchased at the Waianae location I called and asked about my warranty and if they had my tire in stock for me to replace. The person who answered the phone, Richard, was EXTREMELY irritated and rude!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! I simply asked if they had my tire in stock, and he brushed me off and told me that they don't have it in stock and that the only location that had it was out in Kailua. When I purchased tires from them previously, they were able to have whatever store had it in stock deliver it to their location. In this case, Richard told me that I needed to call Kailua myself! Why couldn't he call them??? I'm still a customer! In the end, I ended up travelling all the way to the Kailua to get my tire replaced. These guys suck. Too many excuses, no certified mechanics, and unreliable service. They told me they fixed my car but when l got home, something else was wrong. They said to bring it back in and l did. But, not before spending $850+ and this was after spending $1500 on what was supposed to be fixed in the first place. Also, Nani never called me for a part l was waiting for like she said she would. I went in to check up on it and Nani tells me that someone else got it instead. She never called me about the part coming in at all! I do not recommend this place at all. read more

HIGHWAY ROBBERY, DONT GO HERE! Told me inspection was free, then said i was hearing a noise so its gonna cost $150 to do the inspection. Still gave me "the" free inspection cause I refused to pay that. The inspection said my brakes were in good condition, but they neglected to tell me that. "recommended" I do all types of things, like an oil change that I just did recently, and pushed back when I said no. Quote for a power steering hose ($5 for 1ft of rubber hose at O'Reilly's) was $160 for the part and $220 for labor. Total for everything they "recommended" was $2000, almost as much as I paid for the car. read more

Goodyear Waianae is such a rip off. They quote me one price and then I end up paying $350 more than expected for some tires! They made the decision to not tell me they didn't have the tires I ordered in stock and put on a more expensive tires. After I asked why?, they dummied up and said oh didn't the other guy lyk when you dropped the car off and continues with we can take the tires off! They should learn how to do business and be more upfront with their customers instead of ripping them off that way! read more

It wasn't disclosed to me that I was paying for an additional, optional protection plan that I didn't ask for. I was told it was included when I purchased the tires. Not that I was paying for a "Road Hazard Protection". Make sure you check an itemized breakdown on a quote before you agree to do service. read more

Yesterday my car stalled out dead behind American savings bank. I called Goodyear and they were closing up. Nani told me if I could get the park to the side of the building I could leave it over night. This saved me a tow truck call. Today Robert helped me and my car for a new battery and alternator. They were able to get me in and out within the work day and he kept me inform as the day went on. The Goodyear team here is great. I've been a customer of Goodyear for 15 years or more however, they have had a change in management and front office people. I had to have a new starter installed and I paid over $500.00. Then I go over to a friend's and they say what is that noise, I say what? It sounds like maybe your motor mount or something else. Everytime I start the car up and drive it's this grinding noise. So, not thinking it's the starter I call Tony Nissan and go there. I think it's something serious, they don't know I took it to Goodyear. They put it on diagnostic machine and it comes back, I need a new starter. They look at the starter and could see then that it was fairly new. So they tell me go back to Goodyear get them to fix it. I tell them, they should pay for this diagnostic test as I wouldn't have brought it here had I not thought something else was seriously wrong. So, I go back to Goodyear, now the car grounded when I started it at Tony Nissan, Tony Nissan said they heard the noise for sure that's why they checked for what was wrong BUT Goodyear did NOT hear the grinding noise and said there was no noise at all. I totally and with all my heart know that car every time you started it made that noise and a noise while I was driving but because I wanted them to pay for the $220.00 Tony Nissan diagnostic test Goodyear never heard the noise, YET, the replaced the starter which solved the problem. I really feel Goodyear employees lying to me when I had so many people that were automotive technicians was wrong. And I after being a loyal customer for so be long will NEVER GO BACK. If they would have not lied and just said they couldn't do it and gave me a couple free oil changes or something that would be different but they flat Lied. read more

Tire had a slow leak. Since I had to drive all the way to Waianae for work I really needed to get it fixed. Called Goodyear and spoke with Nani. She was so nice and very helpful, told me to bring it and I left it because were located in the same mall. They completed in in a few hours and I went by to pick it up. Best part it was free! As much as I like giving local stores my business I wound give them a zero if I could. Went in and purchased 4 new tires and when putting on they broke my band TPS sensor. I went back and told the manager right after I left that damage was done to my car and he said there wasn't any proof that they did it. I went on to explain there wasn't a problem before the tires were put on and I notified him immediately. Complete denial and I then had to take my car to the dealership in town on my own dime. As always, it was time for an oil change and I had made an appointment over the phone with Chad and he was really cool. Got to my appointment and they were set up for Covid19 guidelines, but they were always friendly. Chad checked me in and made sure I got the correct oil for my car, since it's been a while since I took my car in at this location. But, they're always on it and they're always very helpful, easy going and friendly here. They took my car in, while I did some shopping, went back and waited in the shop while still social distancing. Got my car back within an hour and was in my way. On the other hand Chad I believe his name was is terrible with customers, bad Communication skills. The manager, Nani at the front desk is extremely rude. I came in to get some servicing for my AC since it was getting warm. She asked a few questions and told me that if the AC is getting cold, it's fine and I'm going to be wasting her techs time. I'm not a mechanic, I don't know if there's something wrong or not, that's why I'm bringing it in. She made me feel like she didn't want my business at all, and I was an idiot for bringing it in. I could care less for her quick diagnosis and wanted the AC checked out to make sure the refrigerant wasn't low. It's almost like I had to plead with her to take my business. Got to be some of the rudest customer service. I went in at 440pm to have them look at 2 exterior bulbs that were out. After listening to me explain problem all guy said was "Ok". My spouse and I rarely write reviews unless a service is 1) exceptional and 2) repeatable. Goodyear has been our go-to service in town when we could not get our vehicles into the dealer. By name, Chaden and Nani have been helpful in encouraging technicians to turn out quality work in a time frame and price range that has been well beyond what dealerships in town can offer. Chaden offered a military discount and asked for my military ID. I'm personally grateful. When our vehicle required repair right before its ship date, Chaden, Nani and crew did all they could to call around on the island and locate a part. Keep up the good work, Goodyear! read more

I stopped off at this Goodyear since they didn't look like they were very busy and there was only one other individual in the waiting area. A worker came to the front desk to see what I wanted. He was the most unprofessional individual I think I've ever come across in a business. He looked and spoke to me as if I were a 13 year old punk. She was very professional, made you feel as a valued customer. It was a positive outcome because of the promotion they had on flats being fixed for free. Been there 5 times and had good service once the last time was a disaster & even though they corrected the problem in a way I was still without a car for a month & had to have back to the dealership 3 times after that. Although the dealership should have fixed the problem the first time because of Goodyear's mistake, I will not give good year another chance like that again. This was my first experience ever going into Goodyear. I am a Waianae resident so it was more convenient to come here. I had to check out my flat tire. I met Rick who was very helpful and helped me with getting a new full set of tires. It took about two hours for the tires to be installed and to have a wheel alignment done on the car. I had to come a little after due to me being at work. But, I was also checked out by Chaden who was also really good help. Great experience here for tire change. Called in the morning and they were able to bring in a special tire I needed for a fleet vehicle in a matter of hours. Everywhere else I called had to bring it in from off island. I needed it done that same day. Brought in my vehicle and as promised it was finished by the end of the day with no appointment. I made an appointment to get my tires checked since my tire light lit up on my dash. The mechanic there was not very helpful when I told him that my indicator light was on and needed my tires checked. I explained that the tires were bought from Costco but had nitrogen in them and he did not seem to hear me when I asked if I could get regular air instead of nitrogen in them. He offered to top the tires that seemed a little low with regular which is not what I was asking for. He mentioned that what i wanted would take time, which he didn't seem to have. I went there for help and was willing to pay for it but left irritated. Very poor customer service. read more
