She was planning on purchasing 2 tires for her car. He checked out the right passenger rear tire and thoroughly inspected it. It looked good and said it didn't need to be replaced. Then he placed the tire back on. Then he removed the left rear tire and noticed a sizable bubble. He quickly replaced the tire and balanced it also. (review is very late, but started…read morethinking as I saw ads for them on Facebook regularly, people need to be aware of their practice) apparently they didn't tighten the steering knuckle lower 2 bolts on my Tacoma, clearly before I left I saw a thread sticking out on the lower control arm bolts, didn't say anything as I'd thought they'd honor their work, and thought they possibly even messed up the threads on that bolt that was loose which is why it didn't go all the way in, (as a mechanic I'm not going to touch something I'm afraid will break which would turn to my fault, liability is pretty important in the automotive service industry) they reassured me before I left that everything was perfect even though the skid plate wasn't installed as well until I said something, then within less than 6000 miles down the road and within less than a 6 month period, lower control arm came loose and went straight to the floor, took it back to them with a tow truck and they charged me for the labor to replace a lifetime warranty part from rough country as well as a CV axle that got damage due to collateral damage from the bolt coming loose. Clearly they didn't tighten the bolt with their response as "we loctite everything" well loctite only goes a long way when the bolt is torqued with a torqued wrench. A real shop would've comp everything and own up to their mistake and repair it for free due to technician negligence. But that didn't happen, rather just down another couple hundred dollars, around $800-1,000 to fix their mistake. But I mean the lifetime part was free which was great, one company at least honored something. Never coming back here again, neither will ever be involved with this shop ever again. Still have my receipt and can easily warranty stuff yourself on rough country website. Wasn't going to argue with these guys in person as they're pretty intimidated and aggressive when you put them on the spot. So it's easier to result in online reviews and let people know their practice as they're also firm with whatever they say with no room for talk or solution unless I'm guessing legal action is taken or a harsh review is made. They honestly just hungry for money, made the victim an even bigger one.

I pulled off the tire and noticed a hole almost on the side wall. The only place open was Goodyear in Waianae. Went in and spoke with April Arzadon, The Store Manager. She looked at the tire and let me know that due to the area that the hole was at, there was no way to repair it. She recommended a tire and I waited for the Technician to replace the tire. The wait wasn't long at all. Before I knew it, April let me know that the tire was ready. I really Appreciate Goodyear and the quick service they provided. Special thanks to April who went above and beyond to help me this morning. It was a rough one before I spoke with her. Five Star Service! I would highly recommend Goodyear Waianae to everyone. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I knew it had to be looked at before It got worse. I contacted Dansen's Auto Repair and described over the phone what I've been experiencing. I go to Dansen's for safety check and oil changes as they always do excellent work and the prices are affordable. They were busy, but let me know it was OK for me to bring my car in and they were going to look at my car once they were done taking care of the automobiles they were working on at the moment. The narrowed it down to my starter, contacted me and ask if I wanted to move forward with replacing the starter. I said yes. They replaced the starter, tested it and contacted me to let me know. that my car was ready to be picked up. They finished it sooner than expected. I was so happy because my car gets me to frequent doctor appointments and physical therapy. Terrible customer service. My alternator went out and the car died as I was pulling into the shop…read more I was first told they probably couldn't get to it today, but could get to it tomorrow. She said I could leave it until then and to just make sure I was the registered owner to authorize the work. Then she came back and said they couldn't get to it and I would have to have it towed out of their parking lot. I called the tow truck and he came to get it within minutes. They then told me that we were holding up their operation as he was getting it on the truck. It took 15 minutes to get it on the truck. A&Z Towing was great if you ever find yourself in need of a tow.
