Wow, I am surprised at the low reviews of this place. We've brought many cars here for tires and there wasn't any issues at all. I came on Saturday because there was a screw in my tire. The gentlemen looked up the tire and told me that they don't have it in stock. He said to return on Tuesday after 10:00am and they will have it delivered there. Today is Tuesday and I went at 10:30am. I apologized and asked him if he could look at the tire first to see if it could be patched. He came out to the car and took a look at the tire and said that they could patch it! I was very happy! He said it would take about an hour and a half. I returned back to the store and my car was ready. The service and transaction was very smooth. The 2 gentlemen working today were great. Patching the tire was only $26 today. read more

I arrived for my scheduled brake service appointment, only to be told that the mechanic I was booked with wouldn't be available until next week. When I asked why no one contacted me to cancel, the staff claimed they didn't even know I was on the schedule--despite confirming afterward that my appointment was listed. I had taken time off work to be there, yet no one apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, they simply asked for my next availability. If you have a better place to go for service, I suggest you go to another location other that Good Year in Mililani. If you do go there, expect to get ripped off and pay for parts and services you don't need. I had gone there for a simple oil change and a safety inspection. When I later returned they had told me that I needed four new tires at the tune of over $1100.00. I did not understand this, the tires were in pretty good condition the last time I checked. I asked them to show me where the wear and tear was on the tire. Larry told that there is uneven wear and concave in the back tires. I could see that the concave to the back tires. I will give them that. When I looked at the front tires, lots of meat left, nominal wear and tear, and not concaved. Larry told me he had told me that he had been doing checking on this kind of stuff for twenty five years and he knew what he was talking about. I told Larry that I use to work at Sears Roebuck automotive department and I too knew what I was talking about. The bread and butter for Sears back in those days were tires, batteries, alignment, and front end work. When I told him this he did not have anything to say. I caught him off guard, I was no dummy when it came to knowing what to look for. Larry also told if I did not change all four tires, no safety inspection. Now I was being extorted to change the tires. No tire change, no safety inspection. I had no choice but to change all four tires when clearly all I needed to change was two tires. I no longer have trust in this company. Paying for two tires that clearly did not need to be changed looks like I am having to go to another service station to get my cars serviced. its a shame I had been a customer there for the twenty plus years. I found a nail in my tire last Saturday around 11:00 while I was doing last minute shopping for a birthday dinner I was hosting for my mom the next day. I still had to clean the house, and I didn't know where to go to fix it. My hubby put air in the tire but couldn't patch it, and wasn't even sure if it could be repaired. I needed the car for work on Monday so I felt frazzled. My hubby called Goodyear Auto Service, and was told they could fix it if we took the tire over by 3:00 pm. So we dropped the car off at 1:00 pm. They called back and said that the tire could not be repaired because the nail was in the sidewall. Luckily they sold tires so I just ordered a new one and I was able to pick up my car that afternoon. I didn't realize that they also perform other services as well. Since I live in Wahiawa, it is a convenient location to take my car. My hubby was able to drop me off and then go to the gym which is nearby for his daily workout, it is not far from home, in Mililani, great customer service and I was able to have my car fixed and returned the same day. Would have given zero stars if I could. Very bad service (they lie to you). Made an appointment to change 4 of my tires. Appointment was at 10 am arrived at 9:45 am and was told 11/2 to 2 hours. Upsold me on getting the tires aligned for $160. They tried to get me to pay more to be able to get my tires realigned 3 times, but I said no. It's now over 3 hours and still not ready! Was told 30 min ago that my truck was ready and was waiting on the repair person to come in. Then 15 min later was told they still needed to do the alignment. WTF!! If it's not ready, don't lie to me, tell me the truth. I would have just taken it to my regular repair shop to have the alignment done when I service my truck. Only reason I came here was because the place I go to don't have Goodyear tires. Next time I'll just get different brand tires that are comparable and cheaper from the repair shop. At least they don't lie to me and are actually faster, a full service on my truck takes only 2-3 hours and that's doing way more than replacing and aligning my tires. Plus they're always on time and if they say 2 hours, it's done before the estimated time. Fridays are the only day I have to do what I want because I'm my dad's caregiver (advanced dementia) and it's my son's day off from work (he watches my dad for me). It took them over 4 hours to change the tires and do the alignment. If I knew how long it was going to be I'd have caught the bus home (10 min ride) and used my other car to do my errands. Got a quote of $98 when I made my full synthetic oil change appointment online. When I checked in they had me sign the POS / credit card reader without showing me the charges. After 10 minutes to check in, 40 min later I saw my car pull out but the one guy behind the counter took a walk-in first because he was buying tires. 25 minutes later he calls me up and asks me to pay $166. I'm like WTF, my quote was $98. He checks the system and quickly recognizes he charged me for 5 extra quarts of synthetic oil at $10 a quart! After adjusting that to one, the bill was now $116...still $18 more than I was quoted. Then I found out that they add $6.52 to all bills for misc shop fees. This is not negotiable. When I asked for an explanation I got "everybody pays this...I show you". Be prepared for this hidden, unadvertised cost. Besides the super slow service, I also feel like they prey on people and expect them to just pay whatever and not challenge them. This is the worst experience I've ever had. Had an appointment at 1:30 for a safety inspection. Went to check on the car at 2:30... was told "ummm... maybe 30 minutes." Ok, came back 40 minutes later... "ummm, ya they're just pulling the car in now to start.. 45 minutes" so now... 3:10 pm, came back and then 2 minutes later saying automatically that my car was gonna fail the safety inspection. That's totally fine (that's not what I'm upset about), but it really took you almost 2 hours to even LOOK at my car? Then Went right around back to the gas station. Super nice and gave us advice and referrals. NEVER EVER going to a Goodyear ever again, and if anyone asks I will warn them to never go to one either. What a waste of time. read more

Had a slow leak tire repaired and the service we got was impressive. When I went to pick up my tire, the guys in the back asked if I wanted them to put on the tire because they could do it faster than me. They jacked up the car, replaced the spare with the repaired tire, checked the tire pressure for all tires (including the spare), and,put the spare tire back in the trunk, I was only expecting them to give me back my repaired tire and I would do all of the other stuff. The gentlemen were kind, efficient, and very service oriented. After what they did and the way they did it, I knew I had to come home and give a praise review. read more

These guys are dishonest. I don't often say that, but in this case, it's true. Stay away from Goodyear Auto Service Center in Mililani. They tried to take advantage of my son during a routine safety check and wanted to charge him $750 for repairs of the suspension which were unnecessary. Maybe it was because he had California plates? That's just not cool fellas. The only way they can make money is to convert safety checks to bonified repair charges. Upselling the safety check. How do I know this? I took it around the corner (literally) to another shop, where they checked the exact same parts, and passed it no problem. I also know my way around a car and there was no issue with the parts they considered "defective". They told me about the realities of accepting the safety check business and how "upselling" repairs is really the only way they make money. Pure economics and greed. I wish no stars were an option. Made an appointment online. Easy enough. Arrive to appointment 10 minutes prior and checked in. Easy enough. Female associate helping me was pleasant and informed me would be a couple of hours. My appointment time was quoted at 2.5 hours. The price I had to sign for was higher than the the price quoted when I booked the service and pointed it out to the associate who explained that they had extra fees. It was almost $10 more, red flag I thought, but I was already there. I went to a nearby coffee shop and sat to do work. I happened to pass by the parking lot over 1.5 hours later, and saw my car was still sitting in the same spot. It had not moved. Went in to speak to someone, met with an older Asian man who could not care any less. He said there were too many online reservations and when I said that someone should have explained that so that I could be prepared for a wait longer than what was quoted, he offered no apologies, was dismissive, did not make any attempt to see if my car would be worked on soon, and only said that they talked to corporate about the reservation system which doesn't make anything better for me, the customer, standing in front of him with no idea of how long it will take for my car to even leave its original parking spot to begin the oil change and tire rotation. I had always gone to the dealer for service and this is the first time I tried Goodyear since it was cheaper. Big mistake!! I will pay more for a service that honors its reservations and respects that their customer's time is just as valuable as their own. By the way, with the extra fees they tack on after I got the quote online, it was almost the same that I pay at Tony Honda. Tony Honda takes my car in when I arrive, offers a waiting area or shuttle service, and never took more than the time they quoted. Made an appt the night before for 1:30 for an oil change while I wait there for it and waited till 3:48 to check on my car. They said it hasn't been looked at yet. They stated that drive up vehicle inspections were taking a lot of time, which means they don't care about people making appointments, they are more concerned about inspections. I took my car and left like the lady before me did. I wouldn't recommend this place for an oil change, horrible service because there was no service done on my vehicle! How would I describe my brief encounter with staff at Goodyear? Rude! First of all, I will note that my car has decorative eye lashes around the headlights. I have had these on my car for as long as I've had my car (a few years), and it has NEVER been a problem. I went to Goodyear to receive a safety vehicle inspection. As I pull up, I am greeted by one staff member (he seemed nice). I tell him that I would like a safety inspection. He says, "ok" and proceeds to refer to where I should park my car. As I am parking, I encounter a second Goodyear staff member. Right away, he shoots me a strange look. As I roll down my window again and tell him what I am there for, he proceeds to inform me that it would be a few hours... A few HOURS?! That was not the problem. The problem is what he continued to tell me, with a rediculed expression. He tells me that my car would not pass a safety inspection because of the lashes. As he says this, he starts to ruffle the lashes! He then points out that one of my headlights had a crack. First of all, like I said, my car has gone through and passed ALL safety inspections with lashes. This was NEVER a problem. Second, if they had bothered to DO the inspection, they would see that the crack in my headlight does not affect the function of light! If anything, the lashes on my car HELP me. I am on the shorter end of the height spectrum and the lashes act as markers to the front of my car when I am parking. After a very unsincere apology, I drive off to another auto shop, where my car passes the safety inspection with flying colors. At least they were upfront and didn't make me wait their "few hour" wait, only to deny me a new safety sticker. read more

First off I would like to say a very big Thank to the Store Manager Brandy for helping us out when everyone else said I need an appointment. Brandy figured out the problem right and wouldn't let me go home without fixing it. Brandy and her staff were short handed that day but still made time to help us out where no one else would. They also always help us out when our low tire light is on and take the time to fill air in our tires.I recommend this Goodyear location very much for they help you out above and beyond what the normally do. People like Paul Hayashi is why I hate bringing my business to Goodyear and other similar auto corporations. I went to get a quote on Monday to simply reattach my splash guard. The service rep explained to me they would put my SUV on the lift and reattach it and would be $25. I came back on Wed and told Paul, a different rep what I need done and he told me it would be $40. I mentioned to him that the price I was already quoted was $25. To that he gave me a stone cold stare and told me it didn't matter. Then he tried to figure out who previously helped me only to try to discredit his own colleague. He said the other guy didn't know what he was taking about. Talk about disrespectful. The other rep who helped me was an old timer and I remember him from years ago and he seemed to know exactly what he was talking about. I don't know if Paul takes advantage of just women or all customers. If you're reading this Paul, I'm not stupid. I know exactly what you did and I was choosing my battles wisely. $40 is not expensive, it's just the disgusting feeling of being taken advantage of as a customer. I went ahead with the work only out of convenience. I will never bring any of my cars here for anything more than this. Service technician/employee was rude on the phone and refused to even allow me to make an appointment to have my brakes checked, claiming that who ever replaced my vehicles brakes before should be the place I return and Goodyear was not willing to even examine. So-so experience. Made my oil change appointment over the internet, which I really like, it's much more convenient for me to see what days/times are available and be able to check my schedule. As other mention in their reviews, I'm not sure why it takes so long or they quote so long for an oil change when you have an appointment. They should schedule the oil changes accordingly and maybe leave one open bay for those. I would think it would guarantee them business and even repeat business if people felt it easy and convenient. I arrived at my appointment time but as it was my first time there, didn't know where to go. I pulled up and double parked and was just about to get up when one of the mechanics walked by. I asked him if I could park there and then go check in. He seemed a little bothered or at first like he didn't know or didn't want to answer then told me people usually park around the corner and to just let the front know where I left the car. I got to the front counter and no one was around. A lady came dashing in but didn't say anything and dashed back out. A few minutes later she came back in and was polite and quick to check me in. She quoted 1-1 1/2 hours for the oil change and complimentary tire rotation. About an hour later, after lunch, I went to check if my car was ready (I saw it moved stalls). I guess they didn't have anyone to call me but it was indeed ready, he said they hadn't caught up yet (the paperwork/key was still in the folder bags they use, and as mentioned, no call). I feel like with these places, my time is as valuable as theirs and they should have a dedicated front counter person. The guy who helped when I got my car and paid was very polite. However, he talked an awful lot and couldn't or didn't seem to be able to multitask well and I was in a hurry.... so everytime he talked, I kept thinking "just type and cash me out please". read more

My experience here was okay. I didn't have an appointment but I was fine with leaving my car for a few hours. I needed to have my oil changed. They called me a few hours later to tell me that my car was ready and that the mechanic said my breaks were low.. when I asked what that meant because I just had gotten my breaks done the gentleman said he didn't know and just to go back to the place that did my breaks to tell them it's low? But it was fine for what I needed done and taking me as a walk in. As far as price I felt that it was a little more than I normally pay. What? This place gets only a 2-star average? ummm... why? I put on a set of 16" wheels on my Mustang last week, and the 8 y/o tires that came with them, despite having deep tread, were old and hard (I bought these from a junkyard in Kapolei). Anyhoo, Firestone's where I almost exclusively go for tires, but the Firehawk performance tires they sell have no flippin' treadwear warranty on them! So I went online to the Goodyear website and found comparable Kelly "Edge HP" tires - comparable in both price and performance. I read some third-party reviews on this tire and they were positive. Goodyear has a 45,000 treadwear warranty on them. Goodyear Mililani is like, right up the street from where I live, and what? They're open on Sunday? I have an excuse to miss church? Oh, well, then, THAT sealed the deal. I bought the Kelly tires online; the website sent me an email confirmation and I was set for Sunday. Goodyear opened promptly at 9a on a sunny Sunday and I was serviced by a humble Paul, an older Japanese guy who looked 1950's mechanic-spiffy in his blue tucked-in work shirt with his name and Goodyear emblem classically sewn on it. He, alone at the counter, pecked at the keyboard and got me checked in under 5 minutes. He offered no time when it would be done, and I didn't ask, but I did say I'd hang around the mall (Mililani Town Center where this Goodyear is located) and he said he'd ring me when the job was pau. And in an hour, they were. I inspected the tires and they were fitted nicely. Walked in to get checked out and it was quick and painless. I asked Paul if I could purchase road hazard protection for the tires and he rang me up just as quick. The entire transaction from when I first entered the store until the I walked out was stress-free, made so by a pleasant Paul. It was all smiles and small talk between him and me. I've read the reviews on this place, and of course I can only speak of my experience, which was like ordering a combo from McDonald's - go up to the counter, place your order, give your money, then they call you when it's ready. It really WAS like that. No false positive affirmations like how the Kelly's were great tires and wow what a smart choice I made choosing them. No near-groveling how grateful they are that I chose Goodyear for my "tire needs." In and out. Will I patronize this place again? Perhaps. This is my first time to ANY Goodyear shop. The prices are comparable to what Firestone offers. Their road hazard protection is little more expensive ($11.45 at Firestone vs $20 at Goodyear). Also noticed that wheel alignment, which I usually ask for when replacing tires, only comes with a 6000-mile/6-month warranty at Goodyear, vs lifetime warranty at Firestone. But the service felt better at Goodyear - the vibe felt better. So, maybe. We'll see. I got a Ford Explorer at home that needs new tires and alignment. // read more

Front tire popped so I threw the spare on and headed here since it's close to work. I informed the person helping me I was on my lunch break and if they could hurry it would be appreciated. I was quoted and hour to and hour half max. I've been here for two hours and fifteen minutes and my car has just pulled up to the garage. It is not being worked on yet. Had they been honest and told me about two and a half hours to three hours until my car gets serviced I would have finished work and come back later.
