I have met many staff members, and each interaction was met with clear communication and understanding. I once went in to get my brakes changed (they were squeaking) and instead they let me know that the brakes were dirty, cleaned them for me, and did not charge me for a brake change. The squeaking was fixed, my vehicle safely brakes; they are honest and followed up with me to ask if I would still like the service after some driving. I appreciated that reassurance, and that they allowed me to make my own decision about the vehicle without applying pressure. I recommend this shop to any of my friends or family needing auto assistance while in Nashville. Don't be put off by the small shop- they are knowledgeable and will honest with you (a rare experience in this line of work). Their prices are honest and fair. Very poor experience with Brown's. I went in with electrical problems. It was the alternator. They…read moreput the wrong type in so I had to bring my car back and they replaced it again with the right one. Before bringing it back the second time I mentioned the transmission was being weird and they passed it off saying "don't know about the transmission" a month later I take it in to In N Out Automotive across the street and turns out Browns had never remounted the bottom of the engine and lost the bolt! That solved the transmission problem. Brown's probably would have easily fixed this if they had listened but as soon as you talk to someone you're met with a smugness and hurried feel. Not to mention they charged me $900 for an alternator change on a 2004 ford focus. That's too much.... Please take your business across the street to In N Out.
