My trip to Chambersburg in Jan 2023 was one of those trips. With list in hand of all the places I planned to shop, the Hope Center was first due to the way I had my route mapped out. Located downtown, with metered street parking the parking was hard to secure due to it being the ice sculpture festival weekend. Hubby dropped me off. The inside is small, and not overly displayed or decorated. The workers are nice, elderly ladies who might be volunteers. Inventory was on the small side, as the space is not huge, but clean and organized. Pricing was really reasonable. The large display windows also have goods for sale and you're able to climb up and help yourself. They had a few small furniture pieces there as well. There were some vintage items, mostly glasswear that I was not interested in. Linens were lackluster and disappointing. I did not look at clothing, but what I did see was cheaper brands and dated styles, like Walmart quality. I scored a nice vintage plastic mirror for $8 and a few crochet doilies from the display window. The lady ahead of me had a lovely ombre pitcher and glass set from the 50's, also for $8. They even held my items while I shopped next door since the mirror was large, as there is another thrift store nearby. While I wouldn't make this a regular stop, I would stop again if in the area. Parking was a big issue, but maybe not so much when the festival isn't going on.

My taste can be niche but it gets to a point when I find a vinyl I actually like and I get home and find something else inside of it. While I am at it I also want to say the music they play in there is crazy. Roxy Saint? The fetal alcohol syndrome lady? Love her to death but god who is making the playlist for this place? Then Label Shopper buys the merchandise and tries to sell it at a slightly discounted price off retail. But the prices and deals are not that good if you know what you are looking at. Remember when Aeropostale had a sale and sold past seasons sweats for $10? Well it looks like Label Shopper bought them all and is now selling them for $14.99-$24.99. So yeah not really a deal there. Their sizes range in all sizes but very select. Example- a lot of the previously mentioned sweats were size XS. So if you aren't that size then your not getting that brand. You are actually better off shopping at Boscov's if you want a good deal/sale. I am giving them 3 stars though because if you would happen to be looking for something specific they may have it and you may get lucky.
