I usually don't have good luck at thrift stores but lately when visiting my in-laws I've found the cutest, vintage plates that were perfect for a party I was hosting. This location is huge and has tons of glassware and tableware. I ended up going back several times over 2 months and was able to collect 47 plates that all looked similar! The mixed and matched scalloped edges on the plates really tied together my vision and made my party feel more Fallish. Overall, way better than some of the locations here in NOVA. read more

This place is trash Kathy gave me a really hard time about buying a single volitive candle. Sometimes people just need to have common sense. I understand your policy of not selling items without a price tag. But maybe call a manager or something like it's pretty bad to not want to sell items that were originally donated to you anyway. Just the logic of like nope this has to get re priced before we can do anything with it is a poor business model and a horrible way to run a place This place has constantly been pretty bad. Employees always have a crazy attitude just not a great place to shop. A lot of overpriced things. I wish Kathy was friendlier. I'm just a customer trying to spend a couple hundred dollars. Seems ok for housewares and furniture items, but not much in way of clothing. Not sure if the clothes are super picked through, or just not a lot of donations in this area. The sections were somewhat organized, just not a lot of inventory. read more

Shopped at this Goodwill location during my thrifting adventure in/around to/from the King of Prussia area. This was one of my stops heading towards my hotel. Typical Goodwill, no better or worse than others. Prices are pretty standard. Organization was there for the most part but some sizes not in the correct location. Could have had a better sorting process, as damaged items were the same price as those in better condition. Large amount of housewares, but as you an see kinda thrown about and piled on top of each other. Housewares are arranged by color and you do need to be mindful when digging thru as they can, and do fall. I'd stop back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I went in purchased pants. 3 pairs i went home went to remove the rags and tried them on the one was missing sized . I had the receipt went back just to exchange they said we do not do returns. I said it was a exchange period not for cash back . They refused left pants on counter manager said same girl popped a comment that said we announce it every 8 minutes that we do not do returns over loud speaker. I said I was in here 20. Didn't hear anything. Ignorant ,belugerebt,wrong size and tired of slimy people. I'd rather buy temu crap then buy mistakes items. read more

I've been in this store a handful of times. I found a wedding gift I had received for sale here nearly 30 years ago! It was a ceramic hat that you put chips around the brim and salsa in the top of the hat. That was funny to see that memory there. I hadn't thought about in decades! I like how their ceramics and chotchke type statues and decor are totally color coded. It is organized and visually appealing. I've gotten very low cost books here and my favorite area is the CD section. The CD's I've gotten have been in good condition & play fine. I got a great Jewel CD & Barenaked Ladies too! The book I purchased was " Engaged to Murder"- a hardback book for 99 cents. Not a bad little find! There's always something different and you'll probably reawaken some sleeping memories here. This store does not warrant one star. I've been shopping at this store for ages and have frequently met a woman with a very well behaved cockatoo come in. This bird is the sweetest creature in the world... and from what I'm told she is potty trained and has visited geriatric centers. Today I witnessed this wonderful bird make friends with several families. After the friend-making ended and the bird lady started shopping, a young Goodwill employee (sorry folks, the good in Good'will, really needs to be erased) and demanded that the bird owner leave the store. Now I've known this woman for years, even when the store was located in Royersford, and no one ever told her to leave. There was one customer who made a fuss, so the lady with the bird was told it was illegal for her to have the bird there. No, ladies and gents, it all depends on the mindset of the person who is managing the store. It's just as well, they only sell overpriced crap in this store as a lot of people are now selling online. I for one will not enter this establishment again. I simply did not like the way this kind lady and her wonderful bird were treated. read more

I'm pretty sure all the upscale stuff from the Main Line ends up here. Almost my entire white collar business wardrobe is from here and it's completely modern and half department store brands on a quarter of the price. I like thrifting and can spend hours sorting and finding and sizing for fun. This store is very big, with good selection for kids, womens, mens, shoes, media, and decor. It's not that great on electronics or furniture but there are other places for that and you can still find some. They have plus size sections, large formal and coat sections. The bathrooms could be cleaner but weren't terrible. Service has always been pleasant and they give member and veteran discounts. It's at the end of a strip mall so plenty of good parking and places to hang out nearby plus near a few colleges (which is most places near Philly I know). I will go out of my way for a trip here to explore and always have to make myself stick to a budget to not get all the things. read more

Store is large with a good selection of clothes and housewares, a bit sloppy at times. But something with management needs to be done. She is rude, loud, and speaks down at the employees - in front of customers. I actually felt bad for the cashier. No one needs to hear everything going on with her. This is the best well-stocked goodwill in the area. The staff does a very good job keeping the clothes by size. In contrast, the Berwyn goodwill is short staffed and I often find large clothing items in small and vice versa. Thank you employees of Trappe Goodwill! read more

The store closes at five. I get that but come on.. at 5:01 I pull up with my donations, after driving half an hour to get there and the girl comes to the door looks at me, then avoids eye contact, locks the door and walks away. It was just so unnecessarily rude. Even if you're not gonna let me leave my donations because I'm one minute after the cut off time can you at least just say sorry? read more

While I love the Goodwill Center in Trappe, I really struggle with going into and spending time in this store as there is a overpowering deorderized smell in there. Even the clothing smell of it. It is much too strong and is actually harmful to the customers as well as the employees that work there. After my last visit, I actually felt sick. Sadly, I will not be going back there:( read more

Today was my first time at this Goodwill Location in Trappe. I was amazed by the exterior of the store and it is a decent size inside too. It has everything you would expect from a usual Goodwill, and it has a decent dvd and cd section which I can appreciate as it is my favorite section. As always, I recomend checking the cases to see if they are empty or the right item is in them. To this stores credit, this locarion is where I have seen the least of it for the items I looked at. I'm going to college right down the street, so I will be back. read more

This goodwill is a bit expensive in my opinion. In my opinion they have great products but they charge a lot for them considering.

Bought some things a while back, yet one of the pants was very slim around the ankle so I had to return. Called the store to make sure I had everything in order. The girl over the phone was very sweet and answered my questions. However, I went into the store to do the return and the manager in charge was very rude. I was doing an exchange and it ended up being more than the return. She didn't ask for my member card; she did the return told me the price. I asked if she returned the item and she said yeah of course I did can't you see the total, in a sarcastic manner. Very rude. She then bagged my one item and threw the receipts in the bad and moved onto the next customer. She didn't say anything nice and was not welcoming what so ever. I've noticed the ladies here are very irate, except for a select few. read more
