First time here after hearing good things from a friend, so expectations were cautiously optimistic…read moreand overall, this place delivered... with a few caveats. Let's start with the good stuff. This store is absolutely massive. And the carts? Chef's kiss. Smooth, solid, high-quality carts that roll like butter. Think Target carts, not the janky, squeaky chaos you usually get at thrift stores. I appreciated that more than I expected to. Prices were mostly average. Not amazing, not outrageous. Vans were around $14.99, which isn't great but also not the worst I've seen lately. Home goods weren't huge, but the section was decent and worth a look. I didn't find any jaw-dropping designer labels, but I did find some solid pieces for myself, so it wasn't a wasted trip. Bonus points because they were running orange tags at 75% off, which definitely helped soften the pricing sting. Would I come back? Yes, if I'm already in the area. Would I make a 45-minute drive just for this store again? Probably not. Overall, CommunityAid Temple is clean, well-organized, easy to shop, and way less stressful than a lot of thrift stores. Not a holy grail, but a solid stop that's worth checking out especially during tag sales.

Came here a few weeks ago on my picking adventure to the Pottstown area. I was excited to go…read moreinside based on the size of the store, and the window displays (not the best displays but somewhat a display) featured alot of vintage. I was a bit surprised by the condition of the store though, which is organized to a certain degree. Linens with linens, housewares with housewares, etc. there's a good bit of sofas and misc furniture from all kinds of eras one might find interesting. Prices overall were high I felt, especially given the messy condition of the store itself and the sorting process wasn't the greatest. Flawed items managed to get on the sales floor. I did find a bunch of cardboard boxes containing a mix of misc items for .50 each which I rummaged thru. Also was interested in the art and frames, which inventory was abundant, however it was too much to dig thru, some were on the wall shelves, others in boxes on the floor. Housewares and baskets had some items I would have been interested in picking up but didn't because prices were what you'd pay at Big Lots for something new. I was a bit surprised to find used (I'm assuming) mattresses for sale and wondered, do people really buy them? Never got to explore the clothing selection as hubby was in the car and I had already spent a good bit of time here, but appeared to be like the other departments. A bit congested and messy. The cashiers were nice and did what they could, probably with minimal staff, but overall as a whole this place needs more organization, a bigger space or more selective sorting process, and lower prices. If you go be prepared to spend some time here. There's alot to get into, some items are hard to access, and can be a tad overwhelming.

They came and took only a few boxes and refused to take anything else because the elevator was being used by the residents to go to lunch. Even after we told them it would be free in a few minutes, they still refused to wait. I would never donate or buy anything from this organization again

There are more sections than I would normally expect in a thrift store including a dedicated small section for hospital scrubs - or a small section for maternity clothing exclusively. I believe that each day of the week they pick one color of price tag to be discounted. Today's color was blue and I bought three pair of cargo shorts - each of them with the blue tag - for a total of $11. The pricing was good to begin with but then saving an extra 50% is great. I'll definitely be returning to this Goodwill thrift store.

Located in a small strip mall on a major highway it's surrounded by other retailers. By the looks of the parking lot they were packed and I did have some concerns that it might be difficult to social distance (it was in the housewares so I just waited). I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and organized the interior was. While the racks were full they weren't stuffed and care was given so they hung on the hangers nicely. Linens were nicely folded and of good quality. While I did see a few sizing signs in the ladies dept for S and M, they weren't in every category of clothing and I had to physically scan the racks to find bigger sizes. Of the clothing I did see I didn't see any with flaws which tells me the sorting process at this location does a better job than most Goodwills. Housewares had the largest inventory and it was packed with people. Many items didn't have prices. Shoes also had a nice selection but no seat to try them on. The set of dressing rooms by the linens had a sign that they were closed but I was told they are always closed and there's another row across the store. There was an annex (think like the garden center at Walmart) through a door with signage for furniture but it was only a table or two of Christmas items and the space felt unheated. I will add that they had no carts inside and an employee went and searched the parking lot to get me one, so I think they're in high demand. A contactless donation center was also out front. If this location was closer I'd add them to my thrifting rotation.
