I'm not a big fan of this location; it's one of the smallest VDO locations and the merchandize I…read moresaw here was disappointingly boring. Often times the selections don't necessarily reflect the type of neighborhood where the merchandize is held, but this principle appeared to be somewhat defied today. The aisles were a bit narrow. There weren't too many people shopping, but some of the "miscellaneous" items were sort of fragmented and shattered. I wonder if anyone would want to take broken pieces home, unless there is a creative use out of any of these. There were vinyls on the ground, decapitated dolls in the bins, and abandoned teddy bears that needs be revived in loving households. There weren't any organizations on anything really. I guess you can truly have a pleasure of thrift shopping, because you will need to thrift diligently in this location. If you don't live in or close to this neighborhood, head to other locations before coming to this one. It's one of the south-side locations, even though the CTA bus 47 (47th.; going from Hyde Park--Bronzeville--Back of the Yard--Brighton Park--Gage Park--Midway) and the CTA 49 (Western) buses are conveniently accessible. The actual location is on the 47th. St. and S. Maplewood in the Brighton Park neighborhood, just FYI.

A woman was nice enough to give me her receipt so that I could get 50% off everything Sunday too! The store has so many good things for men, women, and kids. They have great deals on a lot of things but they kind of forget they got these items donated because I saw an item with an $180 price tag. Anyway, I love coming here to stock up on work clothes. I got at least 10 outfits for $49. I think that's a steal

I've found Lululemon, Patagonia, Nike, and other brand items for affordable prices. They have a lot of jerseys and sports team apparel. I went to a Sox game recently and wanted a jersey for the game. Luckily I found one here for $10! The store is always clean and organized by size. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. I definitely recommended checking this place out. Pro tip: follow them in Facebook because they post new items there and post when they have their 50% off sale days.

The inside is spacious and very well organized into categories like Media, Antiques, Jewelry, Glassware, Plants, Lighting, Crafts, and more. The Antiques section was my favorite as there was clothing, toys, shoes, and other fun blasts from the past. I also enjoyed their Plant Shop that had both living and fake plants of all sizes. The staff did note that the Frankfort location has more home decor while the Orland Park location has more clothing. They have a donation drop off around back of the building for the community to give away items. All profits benefit The Bridge Teen Center in Orland Park which helps fund holistic programs to troubled teens in the area. So happy I stopped in to take a look around!

On my recent day off I stopped in and it looks like the hours were corrected, which is great because it made the visit possible. Walking in, I was honestly a bit amazed at the variety of items they have available. There's a pretty wide selection of household goods, décor, furniture pieces, and building materials. If you enjoy browsing or treasure-hunting for unique items, there's definitely a lot to look through here. That said, one thing that confused me was that several items displayed on the floor appeared not to be for sale. The main reason I came in was because I saw boxed plastic hedges displayed in the windows and thought they would be perfect for a project I'm working on. Unfortunately, those particular items weren't actually available for purchase. Still, the store does carry many interesting pieces, and if you're willing to browse you might find something great. It's definitely worth stopping in if you're working on a home project, decorating, or just like searching for unexpected finds. Overall, a good spot with plenty of items -- just be aware that some display pieces might not actually be for sale.
