Wow! What a funky little store!…read more You can find almost anything in the small store that looks crazy unique from the outside in. The side yard is filled with "stuff". It's everywhere. But as you walk in, you'll see it's the same crazy disarray inside as well. The owner was super friendly and nice to talk to. Bridget The Cat was just as friendly. They both really made the store charming and fun to check out. My friend found a couple of things and a vintage book on golfing for her husband. I bought a scary looking painting/sculpture for my sister. I was actually afraid of that thing so we put it in the trunk of the car. I know she will LOVE it!! If you are ever in Springfield, you should definitely check it out.

However I made my way back to the back of the back of the store and I was like this is more my speed. We were greeted by a friendly lady named Eleanor and we explained what we were looking for and she helped us dig and look until we found what all we needed. The prices were fair and we got everything and more than we needed. Should I ever be in the area again, I would definitely stop in and look at what they have. Also, by buying from them you are helping others which is a huge WIN, WIN!

Having moved to this area from Minneapolis/St. Paul a few years ago, downtown Springfield GA seemed…read morelike a giant missed opportunity. There were areas of the twin cities that held very special stores, headed by very special people. Places that were so very special with a changing kaleidoscope of interesting and unusual clothing that people from all over the region sought them out. I'd thought that experience was lacking here until we found Yellow Taxi Vintage on Laurel Street in Springfield. Here were the same thoughtfully presented items that represented days gone by. Days of style, studied composition and exotic fabrics. Things made when life seemed to move a little slower, and allowing real attention to details of each piece. As you enter this store you'll see a vast, colorful selection of items of all eras displayed with care and designed to give curious browsers a taste of images and unique clothing items and accessories to whisk you to a new look. There are clothes for every look, and since we are talking vintage, from times, designers, and of fabrics just not seen everyday. Items born of and formed by people who really cared about delivering true quality. The owner, Rebecca, has a great eye for items to present in her store, and the sensibility to make these prizes a virtual bargain! Visit, and treat yourself to a great time, and meet new friends. You may even find a new look for yourself or someone special! The neighboring stores are cute snack and quaint dining places, so even your appetite can be satisfied with this visit!

Let me start off by saying, I'm impressed! This place is more farm house Chip and Joanna Gaines…read morestatus so know that before you come and if that's not your style you probably won't be impressed. There are a few beachy pieces and they do custom builds and painting. This store was AFFORDABLE! I wouldn't say cheap but I will say not an arm and a leg for anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful but doesn't follow you around or make you feel pressured. The items were so well made and looked beautiful. The unique thing about this store is they almost want you to DIY. They have ideas for crafty people and furniture for people who just want it here and now. They sale paints used in the store and as I said above if you have a piece of your own you'd like painted they will do that as well. This place is just so unique I will definitely be returning and I urge everyone to check it out! They have an app and a Facebook page and possibly a website.

I spent over $1800 on furniture, $399 for delivery, over $2,200 total. Dottie has ghosted me. She…read morehas stopped opening my Facebook messages and refuses to call me back. I have left messages with a young girl at the store several times, and the young girl tells me she will "see" if Dottie can call me back. In what world does a manager decide if they want to speak with a customer? I have not ONCE gotten to speak to her on the phone. She stopped opening my Facebook messages too. I was very respectful in all interactions, and her Facebook responses (before she stopped opening) were very defensive and passive aggressive. In all messages, I stated that they sent a very nice man and woman to deliver, I had no complaints about them personally, but even the delivery lady knew there was no way they could get that stuff upstairs without at least 2 men, so my boyfriend offered to help--to prevent injury to the nice delivery lady and to prevent damage to my furniture. Based on how this has been handled, I highly doubt Dottie would have reimbursed me if something was damaged during delivery--so I am glad we did offer to help carry things. I can't imagine how it would've gone if my boyfriend happened to be busy or working that day. Either the stuff would've been damaged, people would've gotten injured, or they would've had to turn around and reschedule. The delivery lady felt bad and said something along the lines of "we will help you get nightstands" (I hadn't purchased any yet bc I didn't know if one, two, or any nightstands would fit in my bedroom) and she said maybe someone could meet me halfway with one. I reached out to Dottie to discuss and to see if the help offered by the delivery lady was possible. She responded with attitude and has now ghosted me. I cannot imagine how poorly this place would handle a major disagreement. As you can see, I was very respectful in the messages and was not asking for a refund / compensation, was just asking for some help with what the delivery lady said. I am disappointed in Dottie's response after I spent so much with this business, and with the fact that I now can't find a matching nightstand. I was willing to do business with her, but after this response, Dottie does not deserve my business.
