My mom and I found some great items here while vacationing in the area! I saw mixed reviews online when looking at this location but we decided to check in out for ourselves. The first room near the cash registers has racks of brand names like Calvin Klein, north face, Levi's and much more. These items were in decent condition and priced around 12-15$ depending on what it was. We felt these were pretty high prices for a good will but since they were brand name items in decent condition, I think it was still worth it based on what you got. For example, I tried on some Levi's that were 12$ which felt good to me as they're pretty expensive new. The next room contained furniture. The third room was huge and contained some books, home goods, and many racks filled to the brim with women's, men's and children's clothing. The women's section was pretty good! There were a ton of cute dresses and tops. Although there was a brand section in the first room near the main entrance, I definitely found some brands in the racks as well! I would definitly return here and suggest this location to anyone who likes a good treasure hunt! read more

On a positive note- the place was reasonable clean and organized. Everything is displayed in wide-open areas with plenty of room to get around. On the downside- items are not given thrift store prices. Almost everything I saw was overpriced. Who ever is pricing the items needs to get educated on the value of things at a thrift store. This place is reasonably clean... and that's about all it's got going for it. I guess because they're in proximity to a beach they think that all the USED goods they sell are somehow worth quadruple the price they're actually worth. I'm talking like they had a SHEIN shirt for $8. EIGHT DOLLARS. For SHEIN which probably wasn't even $8 brand new. I found another shirt with stains on it. Price? $7. Ridiculous! They also refused to sell the people in front of us a shirt because it wasn't priced. At the absolute highway robbery of pricing they're selling stuff at, they should have everything priced, or have someone on hand to price things right then since they're the ones making mistakes. They've got to be paying their staff enough since I hear advertising all the time of all the benefits they offer. Overall very disappointing visit. read more

Inept store management. Wouldn't sell a tiny kids stuffed toy because it didn't have a price tag even though there was a bin of stuffed toys that weren't marked. Manager was a child and we offered to pay 10.00 for a 2.00 at most toy and were refused because it didn't have a price tag. Don't take your children here because if they find a little stuffed thing they want, they will not sell it without a price tag because it's store policy. Who prices items? I'd say managers. Absolutely horrible experience, will not ever be returning. Do NOT take your children here. My child picked out a dinosaur he played with the whole time we were in there and when we went to the register to pay they took it from him and would not allow us to buy it because it didn't have a price tag. I offered to pay $20 as my kid was screaming and crying and the manager would not give it back to him or allow us to buy it. There was even another dinosaur that was similar and priced and they wouldn't give it to us for that price. I was going to spend good money in here today and I dropped everything and left. What a ridiculous store policy, this is a THRIFT STORE I'm buying a USED child's toy. I have spent thousands of dollars thrifting at goodwills throughout my life and I can confidently say I will never return. Horrible store policies and management. Amazing prices and huge selection. It was so clean and the employees were exceptionally nice. Even their boutique items in the front were priced reasonably but when you got to the back and could find American eagle, Johnny was, athleta, soma, Victoria's Secret, lululemon and more for $5 and under needless to say the girls went crazy. I frequent Goodwills in the Mid-west often, and know that beach goodwills usually are high priced. This one was even higher priced than I expected. I understand charging more in an area like Destin, but it just seems like a rip-off. I was needing to buy a belt, and usually I can get one for $2-$3 from goodwills in the Mid-west. Here, cheapest belt I could find for myself was $7. The selection is decent, some nice shoes and cool shirts can be found certainly, but when paying triple the typical thrift store price(or much more), it just doesn't have the same appeal. read more

Signs all over the place for 20% off today. Even had an associate point out to me while I was getting g a dressing room. Awesome. So now that I only came in for 1 thing, I'm excited about the discount & decide now I can afford a couple more things I need with this discount. I go to check out and the cashier doesn't apply the discount. She said it's only with a special code. I am a VIP perks member and I have the text messages but nowhere was there a code. Doesn't matter. She already ran my card and I don't get a receipt until afterwards to see that she wasn't joking. No 20% off and no returns. I wish I could've cancelled the transaction bc I never would've continued shopping if there wasn't a promotion today. Do better at communicating your "perks". Now I'm incredibly disappointed that I just spent $80 and went over my spending budget to account for the VIP discount that didn't actually exist. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been in this location and EVERY SINGLE TIME, something is done wrong. I'll continue to take my business to Harvest House and other locally operated stores that actually benefit our community. read more

This is a new GW, from what I can tell. It hasn't had a chance to develop that thrift store smell. A little in he back, but that's to be expected from a ton of used clothing. It is very organized and clean, and the employees are friendly. They had a huge selection of t-shirts (what we specifically stopped to look at), and a good selection of all other clothing. Their book section was pretty large. The problem is that they are way, way too expensive. $40 for a lamp, for example. And not some high end designer brand. A used book (not hardback) for $8 or $9. Surprisingly heir clothing prices aren't completely awful. I got a denim jacket for $6. They also sell brand new stuff. They had beach chairs for sale for $15, and beach towels for $14. I mean, it's nice to have that option at a Goodwill, but you can definitely find them for cheaper elsewhere. read more

So overpriced, even by beach standards. I could not believe they wanted $20 for a used pair of Lucky jeans. I can get a brand new pair from TJ Max or the outlet for $30 not on sale. They had a knock off vera Bradley purse that was seriously used and worn for $30... It wasn't even worth $5 it was that used. I found one sign that would have been easy to make for $5... I couldn't bring myself to buy it. I felt that if I did, I would be supporting a store that was ripping off shoppers. They got this stuff as donations! You can find these things on eBay for less with shipping! I would recommend skipping this goodwill, especially if you like the bargains of thrift store shopping. read more

This was probably my least favorite Goodwill that I have been to and I tend to frequent them since thrifting is a bit of a hobby for me. It carries your average Goodwill stuff (clothing, housewares, books, etc) with above average Goodwill prices. That seems to be the theme in Destin, however. It's very clean. There are restrooms in the back that were clean and the store was pretty organized. Our cashier wasn't very pleasant. Perhaps just having a bad day. read more

My late April visit to Destin proved it stays chilli in the early afternoons and evenings until late into May. Since I was unaware that the local climate would be a bit nippy I had to purchase a coat to keep from getting cold while I experience all Destin has to offer. I ended up purchasing a winter coat for $6 which is a winner in my book! This is definitely the typical Goodwill location carrying everything from clothes to toys to housewares to furniture and much more. This Goodwill is near a church... Their clothing is very old-style/grandparent-ish, cheesy, and overpriced. Their jewelry and accessories were a serious joke. Lots of bathing suits if that's what you're looking for, though. Also, it was incredibly dark in there and smelled stale. read more

Holy crap EXPENSIVE. Walmart kids clothes 8.00. SERIOUSLY high prices. No sales just couldn't get over the prices

I recently was refused a pick up from Goodwill to donate a Leather sofa that was in very good condition. I paid $2000 for it 3 years ago and during my last move the back corners, unseen from the front were slightly damaged. Could be fixed with a small amount of repair tape. Since when are donations for the needy of a product in good condition refused !!! I will never donate to Goodwill again !!! They are a business to make money not a charitable organization. read more

A must-stop in the Panhandle! It was remodeled, enlarged actually, a couple of years ago. We really loved it 2 years ago, not quite as much this past week. Preferred the way the old main room at the entrance was 2 years ago. It seemed a bit empty up front this time, nothing much of interest. You have to go to the back room for the best goods now. But that being said, we did make some purchases as usual. The Goodwill store farther east, past Sandestin resort, is the better option, however, if you have to pick between the two. If you are in to books there is a very helpful and enthusiastic gentleman working in the back room who couldn't be nicer. read more

Loved it! Looking to fill up our new place with furniture. Friendly service and they even let me try fitting two bar stools in the car trunk before buying. This seem to be a good Goodwill. It does stretch from room to room but it is fairly well organized and they seemed to have some good looking items. When I visited they had a lot of bedding that was name brand in excellent condition. Staff was available and friendly. read more

I suppose they must get charged a ton of rent because they are in an upscale area, because they aren't cheap. If you're looking for a thrifty deal, go elsewhere. However, since they are in an upscale area, they have nice items, probably thirty percent of the store was new items. The new items had the same price sticker you would find in the store they came from, but this store has zero junk & is nicely kept. I went there because I was on vacation & when Ieft home, I totally walked out & left my jacket. I didn't want to buy a brand new jacket because I have plenty at home, so I just wanted to pick something up real cheap for a couple slightly chilly nights. I paid $6 for a cardigan. It was pretty new, Old Navy brand, so I'll definitely use it again, but this wasn't what I was expecting from a Goodwill. I was however, wishing I could redecorate my home with some of the nice pictures & pottery they had, but I couldn't haul all that back home in my car. I guess I'm glad I stopped there. read more

Lots of fun. It was raining all day so we entertained ourselves at the Goodwill store. We had fun. Laughed a lot and bought a lot too. Considering this store is located in the middle of a high-tourism area, they have a pretty good selection. Some new stuff. Prices are higher than what I pay at home in St. Louis, but still reasonable. Shirts and pants under $5. Great selection of books. Some games. Lots of women's sweaters and movies on VHS. read more
