This location had more than the other location in Mechanicsburg that I had visited earlier in the day. More clean, more in stock, some stuff was priced to high for my liking . But I only went there to get some glass dishes to use as water catches for my plants. read more

Pretty average Goodwill. My husband found a piece for our kitchen that was $4 which was an ok price for what I believe is a coffee mug holder that says "coffee addict". If you love thrifting you may be able to find some decent treasures here. Seemed fairly clean but I wasn't exactly touching the shelves with white gloves. Employees didn't really acknowledge us much but that wasn't really a deal breaker for us considering my husband and I both get retail work is weird in the sense that you can be busier than you appear. I wasn't blown away with the selection but as a thrifty type of person I don't swear off a Goodwill unless I have good reason to. This place, being as average as it is, is a location I could see myself returning to with enough time passing to check out any new items they have aquired. read more

This is one of the best Goodwill's I ever been to (and that's saying ALOT!) and one I will be sure to frequent on the regular, despite the long drive. My first visit was this past Friday while thrifting in this general area, which I am mostly unfamiliar with. What set this Goodwill apart from the others was the way it was spaciously laid out to allow for easy maneuvering between the isles. Housewares, always organized by color, was also plentiful and not to the point that you had to dig thru the shelves. Artwork and frames were a little limited but otherwise this area in general had a good bit of merchandise, including some vintage items, which makes my heart happy. Clothing was decent too, pricing in line with other locations, and a better sorting process than most Goodwill's as I didn't see anything damaged. The brands were higher end than most other locations. The employees were quick to put out of place items back in their proper spot and were friendly at checkout. As with all PA Goodwills, do remember to bring your own bags! read more

I walked in and began collecting clothes in my arms. they very obviously started following me around the store, going to racks to "organize colors" around me and sweeping inconspicuously in the aisles next to me. Even after I asked if I could leave my clothes at the front to get a cart they continued to follow me. a woman went on break and she called a young cashier over to the sweaters I was looking at. She spoke very loudly about how the younger woman needed to " be vigilant " and " always be watching" when I went and picked which clothes I wanted to keep and try on I overheard them say something like " oh she just organizes them that's weird. Picking out a lot of items in a clothing store is no reason to be treated like a criminal. I don't recommend this location. very rude staff. read more

This location has improved over the last several months. A must better location than several of your other locations. I have found men's jeans and several shirts here. A cd now and then. I also have started to donate at this location. Do you have a Senior day, half price and a family day?? That is what Community Aid does. By the way I have seen a big difference in Community Aid in Mechanicsburg. Their selection is poor. Also several of your young ladies upfront are nice to deal with. read more

I enjoy shopping at thrift stores and goodwill. There's always something unique or more reasonably priced than department stores. This Goodwill is large. I spent a couple hours here. It was busy, but enough employees to help you so it didn't take long at the check out. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a rating. I got some clothes home and I found a bug on a piece. I looked it up and it turns out it was a bed bug. So nasty. I will never stop from that place again. read more

A Matter of $80 This is not a review of the entire store (it's a nice store with some reasonably priced items and some ridiculously overpriced). No, this is a review of JASON, the store manager as of 4/29/18. I will try to be polite-ish here, for constructive-ish purposes. Long story short: Jason held us hostage at Goodwill for an hour, not permitting us to leave, and then threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. Confused? So were we. I just got off the phone with my bank, and have confirmed that his actions were not only confusing, and an egregious example of customer service, they were also illegal. Long story less short: Didn't have enough money in bank to cover $220 purchase (went a little nuts at the 1/2 price sale). But Instead of declining my card, Goodwill knew the balance of my checking account and took what I had left, to the penny, $150.84 of the $230 total, immediately out of my bank account. I didn't think much of it at first, and was like, "My bad," and said that I'd need to take $80 of the stuff off. Jason said he couldn't because we were in the middle of a sale. I was like, if we're in the middle of the sale why did you already take the money out of my account without giving me a receipt or the merchandise? He said because I authorized the purchase. I said, I authorized the full amount, not a fraction of it, so why did you take some it of instead of declining the transaction? He repeated, "Because you authorized it, and, several times, loudly, said, "but DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT TO COVER THE $230" (more on this later). I said, okay, so I'll take the $150 worth of stuff and just go. He said I couldn't, and that my girlfriend would have to stay there while I went to find the other $80. I did exactly as Jason ordered. My girlfriend stayed at the register chatting with Jon, who again was cool, while I frantically tried to come up with $80. Amid trying to solve the problem, my girlfriend tells me Jason has now given us 20 minutes to resolve the situation or he was calling the police. I was like, "Wait, what? I thought he was demanding that we stay?" If we left, we would be abandoning a debt/paid-for merchandise--that alone breaks my brain--and if we stayed we would be "holding up their line." So, I had paid $150 and could not take any merchandise that I had paid for because in Jason's mind I owned 65% of all the merchandise and Goodwill owned 35%. Jason absolutely refused to take $80 of merchandise off the ticket, even though the ticket had yet to be completed. The only option the all-powerful Jason had for me was to return the $150 worth of items I never possessed, and it could take several days for me to get my funds back. So he (He?) wanted me to leave the store with no merchandise and the last $150 gone from my bank account for 3+ days o_O. I told Jason I was fine with cash back and no merchandise. I was fine with taking only $150 worth of merchandise. I was fine with taking $150 worth of merchandise and coming back to pay for the $80. I was fine with suspending the ticket as a layaway, and coming back to pay for the entire purchase by the end of that day. Jason said no to everything. On principle, it seemed. He was NOT to be trifled with by us . . . card users. When I asked why, he said "I can't." And when I asked why he couldn't, he said, "I won't." And when I asked why he wouldn't, he said "I can't!" He repeated the same point: "You don't have money in your bank account. You don't have the funds." I'm like, "Duh. No crap dude. The issue is you took my money and will not give me what I bought." What do you think he said in reply? You guessed it. "You don't have the money in your account." When I challenged him with valid concerns, he said he's not going to argue with me. He wasn't arguing; he was repeating statements. Restatements do not factor into logic, so the clear implication was, "I will not respond to valid concerns, even though I'm literally holding you here against your will under implicit legal threat." And he illegally violated my privacy by announcing information about my bank account several times in front of multiple customers and employees. I am tempted to end with, "You suck, Jason." But I wouldn't go through all this just to call someone names. A much more important statement: You treated us like crap, Jason. You made us feel like criminals over a debit card conflict with your system. We are poor, clothes-shopping for our families at a sale, and you tried use that to publically bully us into complying with a financial transaction that would be flagrantly harmful. And your ego was the only thing on your side. And what makes this particularly bad: you work at Goodwill. Maybe you should separate those two words of your company name and take away the LLC, and read it again? Jason, I'll happily remove this post if you issue a public apology: here or at least to your employees. I'll ask next time I'm in the store. I'll bring cash. read more

I love this Goodwill location. There are aisles and aisles of clothing, including both work-appropriate clothing and casual clothing (including lots of jeans). The store also includes many aisles of house goods. Everything is also very reasonable. This week I purchased 2 tank tops, two skirts, and a pair of shorts for under $25. There are also special discounts for military members. read more

I love this Goodwill location. It's so clean! It is huge and packed full of clothes! Best one I've ever been to. I got a Ralph Lauren bathing suit cover for just $4 and a brand new underarmour workout shirt for $6. I'm not a big thrifter, but this one makes me question why I ever go and pay retail. read more

The nicest resale store I've ever been in. It's clean and organized. The quality is fabulous and the prices are excellent. The people working there are nice and helpful and unlike most resale stores, it smells good! Never shopping retail again without stopping here first. read more
