Plenty of areas to browse from clothing, linen, home decor, shoes, kitchenware, purses and a lot of miscellaneous items. Prices were reasonable but quality of items were lackluster. This company pays nothing for the items donated, yet have the audacity to mark them for high prices (I've seen even more than $120 for furniture & prices that leave us feeling we might as well go buy new at a regular store). These items are USED but even if not this is suppose to be a place for the community to get resources they otherwise can't afford. Do better. read more

I've been to this location quite a few times and like it. The store is always clean and the employees are helpful. I like the layout of this store as well. I'm not as impressed with the housewares area as stuff is sometimes just literally thrown about... Great prices and selection. read more

This is a retail store with ever-changing merchandise. Goodwills get most of their goods as hand-me-downs from local residents. The economic demographics of the area here tend lower, so merchandise is predominantly house brands from "value price" retailers. Still, if you find a top-shelf item expect it to be priced accordingly compared to lower quality items. read more

I'm counting this amongst my favorite Goodwill stores for books. I adore thrift store browsing and shopping as a whole, seeing what unique items have landed on the shelves. I've been donating to Goodwill, and the like, for as long as I can remember. Mom used to take us to the thrift stores as kids to give away things that would become other people's treasures, and teach us the value of finding a deal, or simply a unique, or still useful, item. This particular store gets an A+ for books, for being very well organized by category and size, and because there are always so many gems, though this may just be the luck of the draw. Today, I spent probably a good 45 minutes browsing each and every one of the couple of shelves of children's books. I found a few that I had as a kid. That always gives me a little thrill. I know, it's nerdy. But yaaaaay. A few John Denver vinyls ended up in my cart, along with a book by Anna Faris, those spiky corn holder things (and some seasonings) two cute corn shaped dishes and two small corn cob salt and pepper shakers. Can ya beat $3 for that set? No! You cannot. And how about a group of little ceramic boots, painted a beautiful red, with black and white accents, perfect for displaying at Christmas? So I come out of this lovely book browsing trance, get to the register and go to take the second set of items out of my cart, and bam! I get this awful searing muscle pain in my back out of nowhere. The cashier notices my sharp intake of breath and sympathizes. The other young lady behind the counter took the rest of my items out of my cart for me, wrapped up the breakables, and accompanied me out to my car, loading up my goodies for me. I couldn't have asked for better service! I'm typically resistant to asking for help when it comes to most things, but today, I was so grateful for such kindness in the face of sudden pain. Goodwill has recently forgot what goodwill IS. A place where people with very little can find items FOR very little. Their prices since inflation are inexcusable. ALL of their items are donated. A basic target jacket selling for $15?!? An h&m shirt with mild staining for $8?! These people have lost it. When their competing with hut no. 8 and Walmart, they need to go back to the drawing board and remember why they started. Absolutely ridiculous. It's not a thrift store anymore. Go support the small local thrift stores that have respectable pricing. read more

Pretty organized and cheap prices. Not much name brand clothing but you can't really expect that much from resale shops around here. Definitely will go back. Only thing I did not like about it was when they were getting ready to close a dude came on the intercom to speak to the customers and he was so creepy. I felt very uncomfortable with how he talked. I hope they can do something about changing who says that because I didn't appreciate it and i bet others don't either. read more

This location is just ok. I'd give it a 2.5 stars if I could. I'm going to bump up the stars because I hope I stop by on off days. My guess is that you need to stop by on a regular basis to find the really good stuff. On my last visit I found some cool shoes for my friend, a really great ship wall hanging and pieces for my Halloween costume. The furniture selection was just ok. However, there is an serious amount of crap here. They do have a large selection of books, nothing I would read, but lots of kids books and paperback stuff. I bet the are some romantic novels for you bored house wives. The service was good and the checkout line went quickly. They have sales on certain days for certain items with a specific color tag. There are fitting rooms that don't suck. Credit cards are accepted. read more

They know nothing about customer service and no one there cares. While dropping off a donation, we spotted a picture in the back room that we wanted to purchase. We were headed to an appointment and could not go in right then, but returned about two hours later to shop and to ask about the picture. After a couple of requests, the cashier went to the back room to ask if they would price the picture so we could buy it. She returned saying that they would not price it until they priced and sent out all of the other items that were donated before the picture, absolutely no exceptions as that is their policy. It would be later that day or the next day if we wanted to drive the 20 miles back to check on it. We were not happy with their response, but shopped for about 20 more minutes then went to the register to pay. When we did, I noticed the picture behind the counter. While we were shopping, they had priced it and brought it out. Instead of telling us about it so we could buy it, someone else saw it and had grabbed it up. I knew it was too late for us to get it, but NO ONE CARED!!! We talked to Jerome, the manager, and to the lady in the back that said she would not price it for us....NO ONE CARED!! Very, very poor customer service! We were donating when we saw the picture but will never donate to Goodwill again. There are too many other organizations that can use our goods and our business. read more

I've been to many goodwill's, this one was the saddest I've seen in a while. It's clean and organized but there is just not much there.

I visit a lot of goodwills on a regular basis and this goodwill along with the other one off harvester has their prices way out there. Half the things you pick up are priced higher than what you can get it for online. Other goodwill stores are usually priced fair but not the two st Charles ones. There is a glass bowl priced for $25 that I can get at Walmart for $12. If seen things from dollar general marked $3. A lot of other things marked $12 that other places would be marked $3. I did give it two stars instead of one because I do like to go there and laugh at how they have things priced. read more
