And being a Yelper, I had to leave my review of this place. Be sure to go to the location on Philadelphia Street as this is the thrift store, while the other spot is salvation army. It's located in a strip mall so parking is really easy. I recommend bringing a mask as it was a bit dusty in there. It's pretty organized. I mainly shop the home decor and they definitely had some nice jams. The clothing racks have good selection as well. I found a vintage green plaid Pendleton blazer for four dollars. Can't wait to wear it this Christmas. I even introduced my friend to thrifty and she bought a milk glass vase and a textured smaller gray white vase. I bought some porcelain pieces, milk glass vase, and some Christmas decor. They don't have much of a furniture selection, but maybe you'll find something for you. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is another thrift store in the downtown area of Blairsville. I'm not trying to play…read morefavorites, but this one was lacking, for lack of a better term, variety. The space is rather small and very cramped. With it being like this the items are all packed in and sometimes hard to sift through. There is a bit of organization to the chaos, but in actuality it is just a bit chaotic altogether. I walked in and wanted to go through the men's section and maybe look to see what else they have to offer in terms of knickknacks, but it was just all piled up on itself that it kind of gave me anxiety to go through the stuff. The employee, maybe volunteer, that was working at the time had a flat affect and made for a bit of a weird interaction. When I walked in I had said hello and attempted some idle chit chat, but it was as if I was bothering her, or maybe she just didn't even care that I was there. Whatever it was that kind of added to my anxiety at that point. I sifted a bit, and then just kind of made my way to the door.

While the space is small, it is completely packed to the gills with items with that familiar semi-musty thrift store smell. When I say packed I mean, items under racks, on top of racks, and clearly a very full back room waiting to be stocked. Also, THE PRICES. Dear sweet Christmas-y lord. I've never paid so little for so many things at a thrift store. The catch, cash only and Apollo isn't exactly a wash with banks for you to find your ATM. Make sure to have some on you. Why that may be is because it does not look like a business. It sits on a road that looks like a driveway to houses, and the building itself looks like it might be a garage. Once in the parking lot you realize that it is indeed a business and that they are open for business. Like most thrift stores there is an area outside for donations, like a drop box, but this one directly goes inside the building. Simple setup on the inside. The place looks rather small, but I will explain that later. The floor where all the items for purchase are located feels cramped, and a bit unorganized. The aisles are rather small and definitely can become congested. Going to put this out there guys, there is not much clothing items here for you. There is a larger ladies section and children section. But don't let that dissuade you from coming here. On top of the clothing you will find household items, toys, games, and small appliances. The list could go on. Now, back to the point where it feels cramped. The building is rather large so you would think that would equate to a bigger inside, well it is a bigger inside because it shares a space. It shares the space with a food pantry that serves the area. What you buy in the store portion helps fund the food pantry and other services they offer. Great place as it also provides cash assistance which can help cover rent, mortgage, or utility bills.

It has been a while since I have bought something for work, and let's face it, not everyone works a job that requires fancy clothes. I had been out all day and been looking for thrift stores to hit up. The only one that I had been to in this area is a Goodwill, that is until I found this one. Fun thing about this spot is that it is housed in what used to be a Howard Johnson check in building. Still has the shape and all. It is a small shop, but it serves the purpose. Every piece in this shop appears to be handpicked. That was the one nice thing, even though I wasn't looking for something over the top, I found nice pieces that fit my need. Like many places, the men's section is rather sparse. Guess that just means that guys don't want to give up their clothes as much as women. That is basically the only reason I can't give this place five stars. I browsed the racks and found a few things that fit what I needed. For three pieces, I paid what I would have for one item new at any store around. I will definitely be back here, if only to browse. But I hope that if I do I will be able to find more steals.
