The Goodwill in Louisa Virginia, has become an undesirable shopping experience: the houseware, toys/games, art, cookware, electronics and other miscellaneous items are almost non-existent. And the few items that are in the store are way way overpriced.
And it would seem to me, the store's customer reps are snappy and rude.
The store's layout is very uninspiring, to be honest, it's quite ugly and uninviting.
Conclusion: it would stand to reason why the store no longer has much of a selection of housewares and related miscellaneous items, and such would seemingly be due to poor sales of such items, thus those type of items are being shipped to other Goodwill stores.
And why does the Louisa Goodwill have poor sales, well, that's obvious, everything is way overpriced.
Finial conclusion, it's even more obvious: the existing management at the Louisa Goodwill would seem to sorely lack retail experience and or process any form of retail savviness.
Not a pleasant shopping experience at all. It's doubtful I will return to that particular Goodwill store.
And what's really a gut punch, the Louisa Goodwill store's pricing is 15 to 20 percent higher than the Goodwill stores in all of the surrounding counties.
And, Louisa county isn't known to be a wealthy county, in fact, it's kind of the opposite, and that doesn't reflect any logic whatsoever, but it does reflect extremely poor management. read more
