This is a very interesting store. You never know whats waiting for you in the totes and bins. I've spent at least an hour each time I visit. I found a portable cassette radio for my back deck for .50 cents, it didn't have a power cord but I found a tote of cords and just ferreted one out...took me five minutes. Found shelf supports 1.00 for eight, big box store charges twelve dollars. Like the other reviewer said....the customers are different. When the "new" merchandise gets rolled out the people focus on that and will literally jostle and bump you out of the way to get first choice at the goods. Prices are super sweet...staff pleasant...lots of parking and great deals can be had if your willing to sift. read more

If you can't make the drive don't worry about it, luckily enough for you the same experience can be achieved by rubbing a cockroach infested shit rag on your face. I went here with pure intentions of thrifting only to be met with skid rows twin brother. The floors were filthy and the air stale with a hideous smell. The people there were feral digging through the bins with no concern for respiratory health or scabies. My final straw was watching a child find a used diaper and wave it in front of his mother's unfazed face as if it were a golden ticket. I left promptly after. read more

Found some cute finds. The cashier was super sweet. They don't cycle out the bins as often of other outlets I've been to, but I'd def go back. read more

Chill spot but that's about it, looks like most of the clothes are searched through by employees for anything worth getting already and the bins are half empty to start. Lots of trashy fast fashion pieces that didn't sell at regular stores & they hold all name brands and pull anything interesting looking before it comes out. Takes about 45 minutes for them to rotate any bins while searching them for any missed name brand pieces. Was only tagged product not sold at stores brought out no actual donation items so that's fun too. If you like fast cheap fashion check it out. read more

Everytime I have nothing to do, the bins give me purpose. I can take a five dollar bill and turn it into a entertaining afternoon and a new outfit. albeit the outfit will smell like shit. Also expect to be approached by older folks who spend all day there. I dont mind though, they are always fun to talk to! read more

This is my Favorite Store in Town!!! Dollar Tree and Goodwill Bookstores are some of my other Favorites. Things that don't sell at the Goodwill Stores in town come here. Then they are sold at even cheaper prices by the pound. Everything is thrown into large bins that you have to sort through, but it's totally worth it. I've found clothes, kitchen supplies, and toys. I've bought multiple Melissa and Doug toys and unopened boxes of brand new stuff here. Most times I find a gem. You need to start shopping here so I have more competition and quite spending so much money. read more

I usually have a good time in there. It's been hot lately but still fun. Tho on my last visit a female employee with big eyes told me if I didn't hurry up and get out of the way of the other customers in line....while I was putting my bags in my cart... that she would call her manager and have me thrown out.... never in my life have I felt so awful. I hope she's fired for that unreasonable attitude. read more

The Good Cents store is a neat experience and can be a fascinating way to spend the afternoon. Where else can you purchase a VHS copy of Good Will Hunting for pennies on the dollar? It may be a bit shocking to visit if you are not accustomed to seeing people buying clothing by the pound and picking through the detritus that failed to sell in the Goodwill retail store next door. The people who shop here are definitely of a different strip than those you see at the Governor's Square Mall. In the store, the items are sold out of large plastic bins, which you dig through alongside the other customers. The prices are normally flat-rate and ridiculously cheap. Cups start at 25 cents for example. Clothing is sold by the pound. I've never had much luck with the clothing, and don't normally bother sorting through it. It seems to be mostly women's anyway. There is also a selection of bedding if you are willing to buy used. Occasionally there will be a piece of furniture in there worth looking at. My favorite items in this store are probably the bins full of books and records. These don't seem to interest most of the other customers as much as the clothing, but sometimes you can find real gems in there. I always feel like I'm "rescuing" the books when I bring some great classic (Tolstoy, Dickens, etc.) home to my library. Sometimes the vinyl is decent too. On a recent visit I found a copy of Marty Robbins' El Paso on vinyl for .25. I have an iPod and rarely listen to my records, but they do have a certain cool factor, and for that price, why not?!? read more

So fun. Never know what you'll find here. Got a massive beanbag chair from here with a removable and washable cover for.... $3. Not to mention tons of other great finds. read more

Is it open today, on sunday. We aren't from Tallahassee and the one we had in Panama city has closed since the storm.

Nice deals but you have to get there early and be on the hunt! Having to weed through the crowd, hopefully no fights will break out! Lol
